Maybe we should relearn the word to “THE BATTLE HYMN OF THE
REPUBLIC.”
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. It seems as if everybody is buying everybody these
days. How do you feel about ATT buying Time
Warner? (Melinda ~ Silver Springs, NV)
A. I like ATT and am glad they bought Direct TV. But, it just seems that the bigger you get,
the more customers you get “locked in” and the more cavalier you become as a business
and the public suffers. I don’t like
Time Warner, but I don’t know that I’ll like a bigger ATT either. I think the days of the monopoly-oriented conglomerates should
be numbered.
Q. Some additional states are talking about getting rid of
the death penalty. What’s your
opinion? (Barney ~ Livermore, CA)
A. The way the judicial system works these days, people don’t
get sentenced to death unless they’ve committed some really serious and
reprehensible crimes. Totally innocent unborn
babies, on the other hand, get sentenced to death without a trial, without
judicial review, on the day before their birth and simply because someone wants
to exercise birth control. Don’t talk to
me about getting rid of the death penalty until you reverse Roe vs. Wade.
Q. With all of the worry about voting fraud, what steps are
the F.B.I. and Justice Department taking to prevent it? (Reynold ~ Monroe, WA)
A. Nothing. Loretta
Lynch says if someone has a legitimate complaint, they’ll investigate it after the election, and we all know how
much she and Comey believe in the rule of law in this country, don’t we?
