Former Secretary of State Colin Powell has jumped in to
defend the current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the Benghazi
Massacre. “You're surprised," he
said. "Somebody gets killed,
something gets blown up. And then the after-action reports start and everybody
wants to know who was at fault. Who was responsible? 'Why didn't you keep this
from happening?' Well, you can't keep everything from happening. Benghazi was a
very, very difficult one and a difficult situation, and maybe they shouldn't
have been there in the first place."
COMMENTS:
The key thing he said… forget standing up for Clinton and
forget that he is a closet liberal in conservative clothing… “Maybe they
shouldn’t have been there in the first place.”
The key thing he didn’t
discuss was the subsequent cover-up and current stonewalling. If they shouldn’t have been there in the
first place, but they were, just whose responsibility is that? Could it be that Barry overruled Hillary on
the issue of keeping the Consulate open, and then the attack happened and he
got caught with his pants down? Is that
what the cover-up is all about? While
that’s plausible, I think the reasons are deeper than that… somewhat akin to
the China Syndrome.
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Now the FDA is cutting the effectiveness of sleeping
pills? What gives? (Rosalyn ~ Tempe, AZ)
A. They say the current doses leave users too groggy in the
morning and that causes an increase in accidents. My prediction is that users accustomed to the
current dose will simply double the dosage.
There’s more than one way to skin the government.
Q. Once again, you’re right.
You said a week or so ago that the publishing of names and addresses of
gun owners in New York was an open invitation for crooks to go burglarize
houses on the list if they wanted guns. I
hear that just this weekend one of those homes was in fact burglarized and the
guns stolen. Now, who will be to blame
when the guns are used in a crime?
(Salvador ~ Gallup, NM)
A. Thankfully, you don’t have your facts straight. The guns were in a gun safe, which the
burglars worked on for quite some time before giving up. Frankly, I think the gun owner should sue the
newspaper for damages. And, had the guns
been stolen and used to kill somebody, I think the newspaper would also be
legally at risk. Just because you have
the Constitutional right to put something in print doesn’t make it acceptable.
Q. The French are against gay marriage? There was a huge protest at the Eiffel
Tower. (Porfirio ~ Penngrove, CA)
A. There were hundreds of thousands of French people
protesting. The Socialists are bound and
determined to approve gay marriage in the country against popular wishes. Now, if that isn’t a mirror image of what is
going in here, what is?

“They’re talking about putting into national identity cards
Parent 1, Parent 2, Parent 3, Parent 4. Mom, dad and the kids are going to be
wiped off the map, and that’s going to be bad for any country, any civilization.”
