FOREIGNERS, ILLEGALS TAKING U.S. JOBS

There are about 1 million more people working in the country today than before the recession started.  The bad news is there are about 1.4 million fewer American-born people working today than before the recession started.  What that adds up to is that 2.4 million American jobs have been taken by foreigners and illegals.

COMMENTS:
Would you give up your job today so that an illegal immigrant could take it?  When are you going to have enough of those jackasses in charge of things who live on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I’ve always been an avid Fox News viewer and, because I live in a very rural area, I cannot get cable; so I subscribe to Dish TV.  In an apparent effort to play the big guy in negotiations with Fox, Dish shut them off the air well over a week ago.  Dish at first told me it was not their fault, that Fox was to blame, and then they promised me a $5 monthly discount until Fox comes back.  I decided to do that and give them time to work it out, but I don’t think this is going to be resolved very soon.  I’m not a fan of DirecTV, either, but I think I’ve decided to switch.  I called Dish today and they offered me $30 per month discount to stay.  What do you think?   (Dale ~ Ruidoso, NM)
A. I went through the same drill.  After talking with representatives of both Dish and Direct, I determined that people are switching in droves.  Employees from both companies told me they had never been so busy.  I do not see this being resolved within the next 30 days unless Dish comes to its senses; considering the boisterous stances from their egotistical President, I do not see that happening unless he loses his job, which is certainly a possibility.  Even then, it is very, very possible that Fox will never be on Dish TV again.  So, I switched, got a better deal and even a $100 gift card from Direct, and I’m not looking back.  What gets me is the number of avid liberals who have no skin in this game who are congratulating Dish for shutting down Fox; if they don’t like Fox, this is a free country and none of us are twisting their arms to keep their sets tuned on the Fox networks.  I do suspect that George Soros might be funding the Dish decision.

Q. I understand the number of cop killings is up by 56% in 2014?  (Jeremy ~ Socorro, NM)
A. That’s correct.  It’s as if Obama, DeBlasio and Sharpton have declared open season on cops.  Their attitudes are beyond dangerous; they’re irresponsible and anti-American.

Q. What percentage of illegal immigrants does not show up for deportation hearings? (Chastity ~ Compton, CA)
A. 96%, according to a report by TOWNHALL.COM.   That’s probably because they’re all standing in a long line to cash in on Social Security, ObamaCare and other benefits.  Informed sources say the Administration has no plans to go looking for them.

OBAMA TO AMERICA: I DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU WANT

According to CNSNEWS.COM, Emperor Obama has announced that he has a veto pen and he intends to use it against the Republicans.

COMMENTS:
There now, Americans, he doesn’t give a hoot about who you elected to represent your wishes in Congress.  He’s in charge and he will have things his way whether you like it or not.  Furthermore, as he would say, “Period; up yours and Happy New Year from Honolulu.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think it is possible for something to travel faster than the speed of light?  (Brent ~ Taos, NM)
A. Have you ever seen an angry woman with a cleaver in her hand chasing a cheating husband down the street?  Remember when the whole world thought the earth was flat?  Remember when they were saying nothing could travel faster than the speed of sound?  Remember when they discovered nature’s smallest particle, the atom?  In short, yes I do believe it is possible to travel faster than the speed of light.

Q. Did Obama actually kick a wedding off the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Hawaii so he could play a round of golf?  (Phyllis ~ Oxnard, CA)
A. Yes.  The wedding couple had to scramble to find another venue and I hope Obama spent half the day in sand traps and water hazards. One thing for certain… he didn’t run out of balls.

Q. Has Al Sharpton been getting death threats?  (Paul ~ Provo, UT)
A. Quite a few, from what he claims; he says it’s a result of right-wing people blaming him for the recent cop shootings in New York.  Maybe he should hire some retired cops from the Ferguson Police Department for protection.  They could make a movie about this; we’ll call it “Desperado.”

ANOTHER MALAYSIAN-BASED AIRLINE DISASTER

It all started in March of 2014 with Malaysian Air Line Flight 370, still missing. That was followed by Malaysian Airline Flight 7, short down over the Ukraine by Russia.  Now, we have Malaysian-based Air Asia Flight 8501, in route from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore.

COMMENTS:
As of post time, (yesterday), searchers were still looking.  I can’t imagine how the families must feel. I’ve lost FOX News due to Dish dropping them and am in the process of switching.  In the meanwhile, I was forced to watch CNN coverage of the event; I must have watched fifty different people with their theories, over and over and over again.  Where’s Bullwinkle when you need him?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS
Q. What do you think Obama’s final act will be when leaving office?  (Ole ~ Wisconsin Rapids, WI)
A. The release of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.  Obama despises the conservatives and he knows such a move would totally tick them off.

Q. Do you think Obama will ever be made to own up to his lawlessness?  (Chuck ~ Dallas, TX)
A. Not if a Democrat wins in 2016.  If that is the case, whoever it is will issue a full Presidential Pardon to Obama.  And if it is a Republican winner, I could see some of them doing the same: Romney, Bush or Christie for example.

Q. Why does Putin constantly make Obama look like a wimp?  (Shelly ~ San Pedro, CA)
A. Because Obama IS a wimp and Putin knows that when he shows the world what a wimp Obama is, Obama cannot and will not do anything about it.  Just look at them when they are in the same room together and you know that if Putin yelled “Boo!” Obama would beat it out the door.

ONCE IN I.S.I.S., FOREVER IN I.S.I.S.

I.S.I.S. is now reportedly executing any member who wants to go home.  Islamic State extremists in Syria have executed some 100 foreign volunteers who tried to leave the city of Raqqa, the hardline group’s de facto capital.

COMMENTS:
There was a time in this country where the penalty for desertion was death.  These days, you can walk off your post, get some buddies killed looking for you, get traded for five terrorists and come home as a hero, right Mr. Bergdahl?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I understand there is talk about getting rid of pennies and nickels because it would save us over $100 million per year; it costs us that much more to mint the coins than they are actually worth.  What’s your opinion? (Grace ~ Folsom, CA)
A. So they can round up a six cent tax to a dime?  $100 million is pure chump change.  Our national debt is well over $18 trillion.  $100 million is .00055 percent of that.  Who do they think they’re trying to kid?  Such frippery!

Q. Who do you think Obama will name as Ambassador to Cuba?  (Patsy ~ Toppenish, WA)
A. Lois Lerner; Obama owes her big time.  Second choice is Al Sharpton.

Q. Nebraska and Oklahoma are suing Colorado because they say Colorado’s legalization of marijuana has caused heavy trafficking of the drug into their states, where possession is illegal.  Do you think they can win?  (Doris ~ Weed, CA)
A. Well, Obama is not going to enforce federal laws against possession, so I think the lawsuit should be directed at him.  I know the states are trying to get Colorado’s legalization declared unconstitutional, but I don’t know if they can succeed by suing Colorado directly.  On the other hand, Colorado is having so many problems with their new law that they just might repeal it.  Coloradans might soon not have a pot to piss on.

NORTH KOREAN INTERNET IN CHAOS

Word leaking out of North Korea is that their internet has suddenly gone down.  Some people are suggesting that the U.S. is retaliating for North Korea’s hacking of Sony.

COMMENTS:
Or it could be that China or Russia have hacked North Korea’s internet in the hopes it would blame the U.S.  On second thought, maybe North Korea hacked itself.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. With the advent of the Internet and its vast resources, I’m wondering how libraries can continue to exist.  (Florence ~ Novato, CA)
A. Are you one of those people who think published hardcopy books will soon be a thing of the past?  Remember that there are thousands of priceless antique and ancient documents which, because of their fragility, are difficult to scan into digital data.  Nevertheless, many libraries are bolstering their customer access to digital resources… at the library itself.  There, you can find an e-book, check it out and take it home to read it and, when its expiration date comes, it will disappear from your computer or tablet.  Libraries will derive their income from memberships and from movies rentals.  You’ll also be able to read your selected material on computers and tablets at the library, where you’ll be able to peer over the monitor and check out the librarian.

Q. I was thinking the other day, if your car gets stolen there is a device that can shut it down and disable it.  Couldn’t such a device be used to shut down cars when the owners are late on their car payments?  (Roscoe ~ Daly City, CA)
A. You mean-spirited jackal you.  Hold on to your hubcaps!  Such a device is already being tested; the major problem is what happens if they shut down your car and you get into an accident?

Q. I worry about the amount of radiation we are being subjected to from tele-communications devices, satellites, cell towers and such.  Should I be?  (Marlo ~ Brentwood, CA)
A. A recent study shows over 3,000 cell towers violate radiation emission rules.  They say that by the time the radiation reaches the street, it is no longer harmful. But, with the rising number of cancer victims in the U.S., I’m suspicious.  There is no truth to the rumor, however, that pigeons which roost on microwave antennas glow in the dark.

GUN OWNERS WIN MAJOR VICTORY

A three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati has ruled that a federal ban against gun ownership by people who have been committed to a mental institution is unconstitutional.

COMMENTS:

In short, the Judges said that the 2nd Amendment is the law of the land and cannot be tampered with; gun ownership is a guaranteed right of Americans and the only way to change that fact is through another Constitutional Amendment.  While I agree that mentally unstable people should not be in possession of firearms, there simply must be provisions to deal with exceptions to the rule.  In this case, a man was treated for one month in 1986 after his wife swiped all of his money and ran off with another man; since then, his life has been exemplary.  He tried to purchase a gun and was denied under federal law.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. I just read a report that North Korean operatives tried to destroy some U.S. nuclear facilities in the 1990’s.  How come we were never told about that and is the threat mitigated?  (Floyd ~ Danville, CA)
A. The government only tells us what it wants us to know.  North Korea is developing sophisticated long-range ballistic missiles capable of reaching all over the U.S., and it can be presumed that U.S. nuclear facilities would be a target if we ever get into a shooting match.  In all probability, however, Obama will probably normalize relations between the two countries and kiss Kim Jong-Un’s not-so-royal behind.

Q. Who do I believe?  Fox is blaming Dish and Dish is blaming Fox, but I’m paying Dish for carrying Fox and Fox is gone?  (Phil ~ Forks, WA)
A. You can blame Dish.  They have a history of shutting off service to producers who refuse their terms.  They did it to CNN, CBS and several other companies.  They don’t seem to care how many customers they upset in the process.  As for me, I’m either going to DirecTV or ATT U-Verse, I haven’t made up my mind yet.  The management at Dish is offering a six-month discount of $5.00 each, but you have to get through to them in order to get it and there's no guarantee you'll see Fox or Box Business in the near future.

Q. I was recently told by my doctor that major pharmaceutical companies are in a conspiracy to drive up prescription costs so they can generate more revenues.  Is this true?  Are they ripping us off?  (Carlene ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. Your doctor has made the correct diagnosis.  The global pharmaceutical industry derives much of their profit from price-gouging the Medicare Part D prescription drug program for seniors and people with disabilities. Americans pay significantly more than any other country for the exact same drugs. In 2012 alone, the drug companies’ profits reached $83.9 billion, 62 percent higher than in 2003.
