V.A. BENEFITS BILL: I WAS RIGHT

The latest rush version of a piece of legislation to straighten up the V.A. does contain a provisions that calls for bonuses for V.A. employees. 

COMMENTS:

Monday, I reported on this blog that I had some concerns in that whenever Congress moves faster than a snail’s pace there’s going to be something wrong with the legislation.  Their story from day one has been that the reason for the hidden and secret waiting lists was that staffers were being bonused on the basis of two-weeks or less in waiting time for the vets to be seen.  Why would you even think of giving any bonuses to employees of any agency that has perpetrated such a horrible and deadly track record on the American veteran?  Yes, the Republicans seem to be in favor of this, too.

A. Well, that would be one way to get him out of the State of California.  Just remember: They don’t call him “Moonbeam” for no reason. 

Q. They’re having a big ruckus in Pierce County, Washington over whether or not the words “In God We Trust” should be displayed in the council chambers.  What is your opinion?  (Lucy ~ Federal Way, WA)

A. I think it would be in very poor taste to hang such a plaque there.  It would also undoubtedly irk the feds in Washington, D.C.  Now then, if the plaque were to read: “In Obama We Trust,” that would be different.  Nowhere in the Constitution does it say anything about freedom from religion; it’s freedom of religion.  That’s a fact.    

Q. Nancy Pelosi insists that illegals have rights.  For example, she insists that no illegal should be deported without attorney representation, even if it’s at taxpayer expense.  This would bury the border problem in red tape forever.  (Art ~ Fremont, CA)

A. That’s what she wants to do.  If those boneheads can’t win an argument on its merits, they first scream and yell like the insane idiots they really are; if that doesn’t work, they actively bog the system down so it won’t work.  I wish we could expose all of them for being the communist progressives that they really are.

VALERIE’S DIRTY NO-SO-LITTLE SECRET

Valerie Jarrett, Obama's White House Senior Advisor, has a dirty secret.  Back in January, insurance companies were warning that ObamaCare premiums were going to skyrocket, so Valerie went to the boss and they arranged to expand part of the ObamaCare program as a “bailout.”  The multi-billion dollar tab is being picked up by taxpayers. 

COMMENTS:

It’s always smoke and mirrors with this White House.  We cannot believe in or trust in our government officials, regardless of who they are.  It’s all one big sham being perpetrated on the American public.  It’s past time we put a stop to it.

Q. Why is Israel refusing to comply with U.S. calls for a cease fire?  (Steve ~ Dayton, NV

A. You need to stop watching liberal news stations.  Every cease fire they have had so far, whether for a few hours or 24-hours, has been broken by Hamas.  Hamas continues to refuse any cease fire, no matter how badly it is getting pummeled.  They do not hesitate to sneak into Israel and kill more Jews; it appears they had planned a massive attack using their tunnels into Israel in September.  At this point, were I Netanyahu, I would not allow another cease fire until the white flag of surrender goes up.  You also need to understand that this is not about Israel against Hamas; it’s about Israel vs. Hamas, Iran, Lebanon and probably ISIS to some extent.  Those other entities are the ones supply the weapons, the ammo, the cannons, the communications, the intelligence and so forth.  For Kerry to go flapping around the Middle East like the tooth fairy is not going to stop this problem.  Only the President of the United States, if he had any testicles, and God can stop this war.  Otherwise, someone has to surrender.  The wounds are too deep and too long.

A. With as many people as we have in this world flying around in tubes carrying 250+ passengers from country to country and within the U.S., I’m quite concerned.  They already are facing the largest outbreak in recorded history.  The fatality rate is 50% to 90% and no vaccine is available. Eat your Wheaties and stay out of airplanes. 

Q. I read that Obama is planning to give illegals work permits.  Therefore, why doesn’t he include all of those out-of-work illegals in his unemployment stats?  (Fred ~ Salem, OR)

A. Surely you jest.  Now let me ask you this, Fred: If Obama is so damned concerned about the jobless in this country, why is he continuing to allow illegals into the country and granting them permits to work?  And why are his Democrat friends in Congress going along with it?  They’re supposed to be friends of American labor, aren’t they?

OBAMA’S TOP-SECRET $34 BILLION REGULATION PLANS

President Obama is ready to roll out new government regulations beginning the day after the November elections; the American Action Forum calculates these new regulations will cost Americans and American businesses at least $34 billion to implement.

And we’re going to let him unless we take control of the Senate away from the Democrats.

A. Yes.  If you want proof, just look at the declining mental capabilities of Obama.

A. That is vitriolic and short-sighted.  Additional money is needed to handle these illegals, especially the children.  So, let’s wrap it all up into one package: (1) seal the border, (2) repeal the 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Illegals law, (3) detain all illegals until they have their deportation hearings and speed up that process at the same time and (4) provide additional funding required to accommodate all of this.  Sometimes, those die-hard radical conservatives sound just as bad as left-wing liberals. 

Q. There’s a Rasmussen Poll floating around that says almost half of the country either thinks that Obama is not a U.S. citizen or that he hasn’t convinced them he is.  What is your opinion and why?  (Xenia ~ Cleveland, OH)

A. Obama has consistently lied about virtually everything.  He produced a birth certificate that is as phony as a three dollar bill and has sealed every record about his history that could possibly confirm his citizenship.  He has spent millions of dollars in legal fees to prevent anyone from confirming his citizenship or lack of it.  No, I don’t believe he is a U.S.-born citizen and more than I believe he’s going to stop ISIS.

V.A. DEAL MAY BE IN THE WORKS

At long last, both the House and the Senate may have reached a deal to breathe new life into the Veterans Administration.  Essentially, the deal calls for $10 billion in immediate emergency spending and $25 billion in improvements over the next three years, including the purchase of some more clinics.  Vets would be able to go to private doctors in the event of unusual delays or if they live more than 40 miles from a V.A. clinic. 

COMMENTS:

This all sounds too good to be true.  In the first place, the news comes after they spent the weekend in a rush deal to get the problems addressed before going on summer vacation; whenever Congress starts moving faster than a snail’s pace, we end up getting things like… ObamaCare.  Secondly, there is a huge problem with the antiquated V.A. medical computer system that needs to be fixed before anything else stands the slightest chance of working, and we need to keep the gurus who designed the ObamaCare website away from that project. I have my hopes, but I’m not holding my breath.

A. I don’t think he will try a declaration of amnesty; there is growing concern that impeachment proceedings are just around the corner.  However, there is growing use of the word “refugee.”  If he declares all of the illegals who are here to be refugees, that move would certainly thicken the plot. This is almost better than watching J.R. Ewing…

Q. I hear a lot of discussion about Dr. Ben Carson for President.  I like a lot of the things he advocates, but how can he effect any change in Washington with the way things are being run? (Alma ~ Durango, CO)

A. Well, that’s a $2 million question.  The only possibility is if we manage to replace virtually every incumbent who is running for reelection.  We have to remove the current Washington “culture.”  It might be easier to convince Al Gore that there is no global warming.

A. With everything that’s been deteriorating on the international scene, I’ve been wondering when we’d hear from that sawed-off little runt again.  Well, you don’t really need to test a missile unless you intend to use it, do you?

OBAMA’S NEXT BLUNDER?

King Barack the First is having trouble on the border.  The House is cutting his funding request, Rick Perry is threatening his plan to leave the border wide open, there’s a threat of impeachment brewing, (see MY AMERICAN OPINION), and illegal children continue to make the dangerous trek from Honduras and other Central American Countries.  So, the King is seriously considering sending U.S. planes to Honduras to fly these children to the U.S. at taxpayer expense and "eliminate the danger."  How will he get away with that?  By labeling them as “refugees.”

Here we are in a world full of huge problems and a President who continues to be A.W.O.L. and Chuck Schumer is trying to push legislation through Congress that would put a control on prices of prescription pet meds.  Now remember: He’s a “top dog” in the Democratic Party and barks a lot in the halls of Congress.  He’s obviously got his important ducks in a row.  Talk about the tail wagging the dog…

A. Play 18 holes at a Palm Springs resort.  Don’t worry about a thing, Garth; Barry has everything under control.  Just look at his recent successes in Syria, the Ukraine, Israel and Iraq.  He’s cool, man… cool.

A. Can you imagine the audacity of the Egyptians to require Kerry to go through a wand-style security screening before being admitted to the meeting place?  Don’t they know that he has over 233 Purple Hearts and 28 Bronze Stars hanging in his closet?  They obviously distrust Kerry as much as I distrust Obama.
