CONGRESS OFFERED FREE HOLSTERS

Subsequent to the shooting at the ballpark in Virginia, T.Rex Arms, a Kydex holster company out of Tennessee, has offered to provide Congressional members with holsters and firearms training.

COMMENTS:
It’ll be interesting to see how many Democrats will start carrying guns and take the company up on its generous offer.  It’ll be even more interesting to see how many of them admit to it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think the odds are that Congress will work through their summer vacation?  (Simone ~ Tacoma, WA)
A. About the same as the odds are North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un will give up his nuclear bombs.

Q. Why haven’t we heard any more about Kathy Griffin?  It’s like she dropped off the face of the earth.  (Luigi ~ Springfield, IL)
A. I don’t think there’s a Democrat or a liberal who wants to be even remotely associated with her.  Hence, no one in the press or media will mention her name, either.  If she’s smart, and she obviously is not, she’ll move to another country, change her name and wear a dark wig with huge sunglasses, maybe decorated with dandelions.

Q. Why do you think China hasn’t reined in North Korea?  (Lucas ~ Shiprock, NM)
A.  Because Kim Jong-Un told them if they tried anything he would destroy their army.

CALIFORNIA GAS TAXES SOAR

California citizens are now paying 61 cents a gallon in state gasoline taxes and there will be a 12 cent per gallon increase in November, taking it to 73.2 cents per gallon… the second highest in the nation right behind Pennsylvania.  Add that to 18.4 cents in federal gas taxes plus county and local taxes and you’re at about $1.00 per gallon.

COMMENTS:
Obviously, the Governor and his cohorts in the state legislature need to pay back the unions who voted them in, but there’s an even bigger catch: while they insist that the money will be used to pay for much needed road and bridge work, they’re going to get billions from Trump’s infrastructure plans to cover those costs, meaning they’ll use the new gas tax revenues to pay for the boondoggle high-speed bullet train that everyone hates.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s this about Colorado banning cellphone for pre-teens?  (Dizzy ~ Helena, MT)
A. They’ve decided that it’s their duty to take over family decisions because, in their opinions, kids just spend too much time on the phones.  I understand that if they see a pre-teen with a cell phone, both the parents and the store owner where the phone was originally sold are going to have to pay a huge fine and maybe go to jail for a very long time... maybe even Guantanamo.

Q. After all of her mishandling of classified materials, Hillary Clinton may finally have her security clearance canceled?  (Flip ~ Woodland, CA)
A. Yeah, you would think the feds would have pulled the clearances for her and her staff long ago.  But, they’ve just recently opened an “inquiry” into the matter.  Frankly, she should be in jail.

Q. Trump has indicated he might do something to North Korea in retaliation over Otto Warmbier’s death.  Do you have any idea what that might entail without getting China involved?  (Bernadette ~ Lacey, WA)
A. No, but I have a feeling it won’t be pretty.

FLORIDA JUDGE: TAKE DOWN THE DAMNED CROSS!

Now, 75 years after the cross was originally erected, a Florida Judge has ruled in favor of atheists and ordered the City of Pensacola to remove the cross within 30 days.  “I am aware that there is a lot of support in Pensacola to keep the cross as is, and I understand and I understand and respect that point of view,” U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson wrote in his ruling. “But, the law is the law.”

COMMENTS:
How long are we going to sit here and watch anti-Americans tear down our institutions?  They want crosses gone, statues of American history discarded, books burned and banned, Christian prayer prohibited when Muslim prayer is accepted, Sharia law instituted… the list goes on and on and the left-wing radical judges in this country are giving them a platform from which to destroy our nation and… we allow this bullshit to continue, every day?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. The word came out [yesterday] that Kim Jong-Un is scared to death that we’re going to come after him like we went after Bin Laden.  Do you think that’s in the cards?  (Meredith ~ Fremont, CA)
A. Although I’d love to see that happen and although I do think it’s a possibility, the end result would undoubtedly be that the jackasses in Congress would just have one more investigation to conduct.  Or some activist judge would rule that the North Korean midget was entitled to a fair trial.

Q. I’m interested in knowing how Megyn Kelly did in the ratings Sunday night with Alex Jones.  (Brit ~ San Diego, CA)
A. Her show ran against a rerun of CBS’ “60 MINUTES” and lost.  And… she was also running against a rerun of ABC’s “AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS” and lost to them as well.  Maybe she’ll blame Trump.

Q. Cellphone service went down most of [yesterday,] but I’ve heard no reason why.  What’s going on?  (Coquille ~ Wells, NV)
A. The press, media and liberal Democrats are experimenting with ways to turn off Trump’s Twitters.  Actually, at blog time they were still working on finding the problems and resolving them.

WOMAN SUES RESORTS OVER $43 MILLION JACKPOT

Katrina Bookman of Queens, New York, was playing a slot machine when she won almost $43 million; the problem is, the casino refused to pay and offered her a steak dinner and $2.25 instead.

COMMENTS:
The New York State Gaming Commission was called and ruled in the casino’s favor, saying the machine had “malfunctioned.”  The question is: How many people were cheated out of any possibility of a win on that machine in the past?  Granted, casinos carry a disclaimer stipulating that in case of a malfunction, they don’t have to pay up.  However, it’s bad vibes and bad karma for the joint; they should at least offer some consolation prize in such events, such as $2.30 and two steak dinners.  They’ll pay for it in the long run; bad publicity like that goes around fast in the gambling world.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I understand that Hillary and the Democrats are madder than hell and demanding action.  What for now?  (Julius ~ Bella Vista, CA)
A. It seems that vandals attacked a highway sign on Sagtikos Parkway in suburban New York City which designated an off-ramp named “Crooked Hill,” and changed it to… “Crooked Hillary.”  Of course, defacing highway signs is illegal and I suppose the FBI will get right on it... especially since they did such a great job on Benghazi and the Email scandal.

Q. They found a “hit list” on James Hodgkinson including names of top GOP targets.  I haven’t heard much about it.  (Woody ~ Henderson, KY)
A. That’s because they’re all Republicans and, according to a host of Dems and liberals, therefore expendable… certainly not worth mentioning on the evening news.

Q. I don’t understand how two ships, both armed with a whole pile of high-tech navigational aids, one of which is one of the most sophisticated naval ships in the world, could run into each other.  What are your thoughts?  (Amanda ~ Oxnard, CA)
A. It’s highly improbable to me that ships navigators on both ships flaked out at the same time.  So, I think the Russians did it and Trump helped them.  Either that or the North Koreans hacked into the computer systems on both ships and caused them to run into each other.

PELOSI BLAMES REPUBLICANS FOR SHOOTING SPREE

Nancy Pelosi blames today’s political rhetoric, which undoubtedly had an influence on Wednesday’s shootings, on the Republican’s vast left-wing conspiracy against the Clintons in the 1990’s.

COMMENTS:
Some people are just born evil, contemptable and vile.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Fox News has changed its slogan from “Fair and Balanced” to “Most Watched; Most Trusted.” Why?  (Detrick ~ Scottsdale, AZ)
A. I believe it is because they wanted to move their platform to the left and no longer felt justified calling themselves fair and balanced.  They can still claim “most watched” for some shows, but they are slipping drastically in the ratings.  As far as trusting them… trust no one in the media or newspaper business.

Q. Now that the wind has gone out of the sails of an investigation into a Russian-Trump connection, the Special Counsel is turning to going after Trump for Obstruction of Justice.  What’s your reaction?  (Bernie ~ Waterloo, IA)
A. Mueller is probably going to want to keep his job for as long as he can, so look for the “obstruction” to morph into something else when that tack runs into a brick wall.   What ticks me off is that there are several people obviously guilty of obstruction of justice who seem to have escaped without even a slight scar,  such as Hillary, Loretta, Eric, James and Barack, to mention a few.

Q. Don’t you think that there should be more Secret Service protection for Members of Congress?  (Felicia ~ Magalia, CA)
A. Now that the whole world knows that rank-and-file members have no protection, and given today’s acts of terrorism and horrible political climate, it is absolutely imperative that they receive protection.  To do less is inviting big trouble.
