CUBA TO U.S.: GIVE US BACK GUANTANAMO

The Castro brothers are demanding that the United States close down Gitmo and the Guantanamo Naval Base and return them to Cuba before there can be any chance of naturalized relations.

COMMENTS:
Ever since Obama said he wanted to resume relations with Cuba, I’ve been proposing that the reason behind the move was that Obama was looking for a way to close Gitmo and that the resumption of relations was just a ploy to get that objective accomplished.  Well, the stage is now set and Obama is headed to Cuba next month to have “meaningful discussions” with Raul.  Bend over; Obama will succeed in closing Gitmo.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Isn’t it disgusting that Clinton won in Nevada?  (Charles ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. As opposed to Sanders?

Q. Do you think this is the end of the Bush political dynasty?  (Sissy ~ Rocklin, CA)
A. Absolutely not; Jeb will be back in 2020 or 2024 and, sadly, probably do much better when Trump is out of the way.

Q. I know you are very upset with them, but do you still watch FOX NEWS?  (Myrna ~ Page, AZ)
A. I am predominantly watching ABC and NEWSMAX TV.  I do still watch Lou Dobbs on FOX BUSINESS NEWS; I think he’s the only one left at FOX who I can trust.  There are two people who will make me turn off the tube: Barack Obama and Megyn Kelly.

HALEY’S RUBIO ENDORSEMENT IS REVEALING

South Carolina’s Governor Nikki Haley endorsed Marco Rubio for the presidency Wednesday.

COMMENTS:
So what does that mean?  People in South Carolina are not too happy with our wide-open borders, particularly when it comes to Muslims.  But Haley, a Republican, says she is a solid supporter of Obama’s drive to convert millions of recent immigrants into “new Americans,” by using not only the United Nations refugee pipeline but also a steady influx of illegal immigrants from Central America.  She’s even being sued by those who disagree with her, to halt all resettlement of refugees in South Carolina “until a full accounting of any and all federal money used in this program and specifically where it was allocated and how allocated (and) in which counties.”  Now, about Rubio’s stance on illegal immigrants… “We are not going to round up and deport 12 million people, but we're not going to hand out citizenship cards, either,” Rubio said at last week's GOP debate.  I guess he intends to keep them here in limbo?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why is Apple refusing to comply with a legal court order to help the FBI get into the contents of the terrorist’s phone?  (Bernadette ~ Willamette, OR)
A. I agree that we need to crack that phone, no matter what.  But, as a matter of law, the government has no constitutional authority to order you to do what it orders you to do; that’s tantamount to totalitarian dictatorship.  Besides, if the government succeeds and Apple gets them into that phone, then terrorists will quit buying Apple phones and Apple’s profits will go down.

Q. Why is Obama so insensitive that he won’t attend Scalia’s funeral?   (Orv ~ Lancaster, PA)
A. They’re making such a big deal over this; it doesn’t matter.  I believe that if you don’t really want to attend someone’s funeral, then you shouldn’t.  As an example, if Obama were to die tomorrow, no one would attend his funeral because they’d all be busy dancing in the streets.

Q. Is Trump going to lose South Carolina?  I understand there is a Wall Street Journal – NBC poll showing Cruz leading Trump by 28% to 26%? (Buddy ~ Auburn, CA)
A. That poll is very suspect, as far as I am concerned; they must have canvassed attendees at a Cruz rally.  All of the other legitimate polls have Trump about 20 percentage points ahead of Cruz.

ONE FOR THE “X-FILES?”

Residents in Harrison Township, Michigan, got a rude awakening Sunday when they found a strange oily substance coating their cars and homes.  Days later, what the substance is and where it came from remains a mystery.  The fire department came by on Tuesday and inspected the scene. "It was an ash type of substance with a little bit on an oily consistency to it," Harrison Township Fire Department Chief Michael Lopez told ABC News.  No one knows where the goo drops came from; they appear to have fallen straight down, like rain drops.

COMMENTS:
Maybe they were drug up by some mysterious phenomenon from the famous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico a few years back?  Or maybe an unidentified flying object sprung an oil leak?  Get in touch with Mulder and Scully, on the double!!!

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Cruz pulled another rotten dirty political trick?  (Juanita ~ Tucson, AZ)
A. Trey Gowdy had previously endorsed Marco Rubio, but a post on a Facebook account said Gowdy had withdrawn his endorsement and endorsed Cruz instead.  Gowdy is demanding an apology and the Cruz camp is denying any culpability.  With these tactics ongoing in the Cruz organization, I have to put him in the exact same league as Harry Reid… despicable  and unworthy.

Q. What is your opinion about Obama’s not attending Justice Scalia’s funeral?  (Celia ~ Redding, CA)
A. I’m absolutely certain Scalia would have wanted it that way.

Q. What’s the latest on anti-gun efforts?  (Nell ~ Dallas, TX)
A. Organized groups are trying to: stop bank funding and credit cards to gun stores; create boycotts against firms owning stock in gun manufacturers; making guns an issue of national security, (no guns = no terrorism); and initiating SEC investigations akin to what started the anti-tobacco lawsuits.  I guess they just don’t like any kind of smoke…

“You have a Supreme Court Justice who died, not in attendance of a physician.  You have a non-homicide trained U.S. Marshal tell the justice of peace that no foul play was observed. You have a justice of the peace pronounce death while not being on the scene and without any medical training opining that the justice died of a heart attack.

“What medical proof exists of a myocardial infarction? Why not a cerebral hemorrhage?  How can the Marshal say, without a thorough post mortem, that he was not injected with an illegal substance that would simulate a heart attack?  Did the U.S. Marshal check for petechial hemorrhage in his eyes or under his lips that would have suggested suffocation?  Did the US Marshal smell his breath for any unusual odor that might suggest poisoning? My gut tells me there is something fishy going on in Texas.” ~ William Richie, former Washington DC homicide commander

IRAN: SCREW U.S. “DEAL”

Iran’s defense minister has been in meetings with Russia’s Putin to work out a deal for Iran to complete purchase and delivery of  the advanced S-300 air defense system and to arrange the purchase of powerful offensive weapons, including Russia's most sophisticated tank and jet fighters… all in defiance of U.N. sanctions and the illustrious U.S. – Iranian nuclear “deal.”  A United Nations resolution passed on July 20, 2015 just days after the landmark nuclear agreement forbids Iran from making conventional arms purchases for the next five years.

COMMENTS:
Just who is going to stop them… Obama or Kerry?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do I understand the Democrats want us to pay for attorneys for the illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America?  (Hector ~ Nogales, AZ)
A. That’s correct: Harry Reid and his Marxist cronies in Washington want you to pay for finding ways for the illegals to stay here… and vote.

Q. Do you really think there is a conspiracy regarding Scalia’s death?  (Delbert ~ Bountiful, UT)
A. Oh, it’s much bigger and more sinister than that.  At the same time, Trump called Bush a liar, so the fact that another 500 Hillary emails, (of which 83 were classified), were released Saturday was completely buried in the other news of the day.

Q. The scuttlebutt floating around now is that Obama will name Loretta Lynch to the Supreme Court and the Republican Senate won’t be able to stop it because she was recently confirmed as Attorney General.  Do you think that is a likely scenario? (Ruth Anne ~ Santa Clara, CA)
A. Obama could nominate Attila the Hun and Mitch McConnell wouldn’t stop him; it’s all just one big dog and phony show, (play on words intended).

WAS SCALIA MURDERED?

When Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was discovered dead in his bed Saturday, he was found with his hands almost folded on top of the sheets; the sheets and his bedclothes were not wrinkled.  His pillow… was over his head.

COMMENTS:
This description almost sounds as if the body was posed; nobody sleeps like that.  And, nobody sleeps with a pillow over their head either, unless there’s somebody jack-hammering on a sidewalk outside.  When Obama who was on the golf course, was informed of Scalia’s death, he just kept right on playing… as if nothing had happened.  Finally, and probably by coincidence, two hours before Scalia’s death was announced, the Texas State Republican Leadership passed a resolution calling for the U.S. Senate to block the nomination of anybody nominated by President Obama.  Where was Jack Ruby when this happened?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What did you think of the Saturday night GOP debates?  (Irving ~ Alturas, CA)
A. I think Trump was overly defiant and confrontational, to the point of making an ass out of himself; it was his worst night on the debate circuit so far.  And I’ll say this: I have come out supporting Trump for the nomination, but his performance Saturday certainly gives me pause to think twice about that decision.  The problem is, I just don’t see any of the other candidates as having the ability to even remotely begin to straighten out the manure in Washington.  Cruz, Rubio and Bush were mediocre and Kasich did okay; but, I can’t help but get sick and tired over his constant “Ohio” stories.  I also think Carson had one of his better nights, but I’m selecting no winner... except, maybe, SNL.

Q. Is it true that Glenn Beck left FOX because they ordered him to stop talking about God?  (Myrna ~ Denver, CO)
A. Yes.  To some extent, I think Beck overdid it, almost to the point of preaching the Gospel on a news network.  But, to ban the use of the word “God” altogether is absurd.  All FOX proved with that maneuver is that they are Godless, and that is what is wrong with the country today.

Q. Were all of the people said to have been using Clinton’s private email server who received classified material cleared with appropriate security clearances?  (Li ~ San Francisco, CA)
A. So far, everyone involved is refusing to answer that question and the Clinton camp has yet to come out with any statement asserting that they all had clearances.  But, at this point, what difference does it make?
