DON’T TRUST GOVERNMENT? BLAME REAGAN

That’s how Obama sees it.  “We’ve had a politics, frankly, you know, the entire Republican Party brand since Ronald Reagan has been government’s the problem. And if you day after day, week after week, election after election, are running on that platform and that permeates our culture and it’s picked up by you know, ordinary citizens who grow skeptical, then it’s not surprising that over time, trust in government declines.”

COMMENTS:  I can’t comment on that.  I’m absolutely speechless at the unabashed horse manure this guy spreads.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. The other day in your Zinger blog, you intimated that Nelson Mandela was a far better black leader than President Obama.  How can you say that?  Mandela was a communist.  (Dahlia ~ Salt Lake City, UT)
A. And just what in your study of the life of Barack Hussein Obama leads you to believe that HE is not a communist?

Q. Do you really think that we’re not going to be able to keep our doctors under ObamaCare?  (Assad ~ San Jose, CA)
A. Wow, are you in for a big surprise.  The California Medical Association (CMA) estimates that 70 percent of doctors will not participate in Covered California, the State’s Obamacare health insurance exchange.  Only in September did insurance companies disclose that their rates would be pegged to California’s Medicaid plan (Medi-Cal).  That’s driven many doctors to just say no.  The insurance companies have put the kibosh on countless other doctors, so the odds of your keeping your doctor under ObamaCare are only 3 out of 10.  Why do you want to punish yourself by signing up for this guff?

Q. My friend tells me that they have just discovered a huge new oil deposit in Alabama, but I can’t find anything about it.  Can you fill me in?  (Harry ~ Lubbock, TX)
A. Well, Harry, they’ve discovered a huge new oil field alright, but it’s in Australia; that's close to Alabama, but no bananas.  Early estimates are that there’s enough oil down there to ruin OPEC.  I wonder what Obama would say if Keystone wanted to run a pipeline from there to Long Beach.

ABOUT YOUR WEBCAM

Just when you thought the issue of government spying on American citizens was dying down, a former FBI official admits that the agency has had the ability to use your webcam to spy on you for several years.  They can pull this trick without activating the light on the webcam which shows it is being used.

COMMENTS:
Of course, they say they only use the webcam in cases of suspected terrorism, etc., etc.  The scenario is that some terrorist out in a Middle Eastern desert misdials your phone number and the NSA now has you on a terrorist watch list.  Your webcam is all of the sudden recording you.  Or some pervert has acquired the same ability which is, of course, why you should not take your tablet to the bathroom.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Another ObamaCare “glitch?”  I hear you may have been tricked into thinking you have health insurance when, in fact, you don’t?  (Maddy ~ Fort Duchesne, UT)
A. Just another “glitch,” as you call it.  It turns out that you will not have insurance until your first payment has been made and received.  Additionally, there are multitudes of problems in the communication protocols between the ObamaCare website and insurance company computers that may have prevented an accepted application from being transmitted to the insurer.  Now, there’s no way of their knowing whether or not the policy has been transmitted correctly or the payment transmitted.  As it stands at this moment, they are not going to know you are not insured until you call to complain because your doctor has billed you or the hospital won’t let you in.  Evidently, “glitch” means “clusterf—k” in Obama lingo.

Q. I understand the WALL STREET JOURNAL is say there’s a ten percent chance Obama will resign before the 2014 elections in order to save the Democratic Party from a backlash over his ObamaCare?  (Ferdinand ~ Laramie, WY)
A. I think the guy who wrote that piece must have been smoking something.  Obama is a consummate narcissist with a huge ego who simply will never, ever admit that his healthcare plan is unpopular or a failure.  Secondly, even if he did admit there was something wrong with ObamaCare, he would feel absolutely no remorse over it.  Third, he doesn’t give a damn about the Democrats or anyone else.  His definition of good healthcare is making sure everyone has access to an enema.

Q. What the flap over Obama’s uncle? (Ollie ~ Moore, OK)
A. Onyango Obama has lived in the U.S. illegally for over 40 years. When called to task over the issue as to why Onyango had not been deported, the White House insisted Obama had never even met his uncle.  As it turns out, that was another lie; Barry even stayed with his uncle for three weeks in Cambridge.  Onyango was called to the court for another hearing last week and… was subsequently granted legal residency.  The White House now denies they had anything to do with it.  Incidentally, Onyango is from Kenya.

THIEVES GET SICK, MAY DIE

Thanks for bearing with me.  This damned bug has been on my case for almost three months.  Just as you’re feeling better, you let your guard down and push it a little and it’s back to coughing, hacking and bad fatigue.

Those enterprising Mexicans who stole a truck full of radioactive material down in Mexico are in deep trouble.  The material was recovered Thursday and by Friday several guys showed up at the local hospital feeling very sick.  They have radiation poisoning and are likely to die.

COMMENTS:

What goes around comes around?  What is not known as I write this is whether or not the theft was just to get the truck, or if they were deliberately after the radioactive material, possibly for the purpose of making a dirty nuclear bomb; I’m not certain how easy that would be to do unless you had the know-how, the tools, and someplace to do the work in.  The fact that they opened the container leads me to believe they didn’t know what they were doing.  That’s what the radiation sign is for, to tell you to leave the contents alone.  It is rumored that the contents of the Lost Ark of the Covenant are also highly radioactive, in case you ever run across it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. My 24-year-old son has just finished a four year tour with the Air Force and while in service finished his college degree.  He’s very upset with the way the military is changing, with his inability to find a meaningful job, with President Obama and with the way the country is going in general.   How can I possibly argue with him?  (Jarvis ~ Venice, CA)
A. You can’t argue with him, because he’s correct.  However, he does need to channel his frustrations into something positive, such as registering to vote and getting ready to vote out all Democrats who voted for ObamaCare as well as Republicans who’ve been in office for more than six years; it’s in those general demographics where our national problems exist.  Plus, maybe if we get control of the Senate, maybe we can be successful in wrestling back control of our government from the far-left progressives and establishing some sanity in our country.

Q. I consider myself to be a religious person; I believe in God and am active in my church.  I see every day where the left is trying to destroy religion in our country and our government turns a blind eye to it.  Is there any way we can change this?  (Monique ~ Pueblo, CO)
A. Tell it to your preacher.  Until we get organized religions to stand up for themselves, we can’t change things.

Q. How do you react to the fast food workers complaints about their low wages?  (Tess ~ Granada Hills, CA)
A. If you’re not happy with the wages or benefits you get from a job, go get another job.  Let the labor market be free; if the business owner can’t find people to hire at the wages he’s paying, he’ll raise his wages and provide more benefits, get a robot, or close down.  It’s all that simple.  Another word of advice: the worst time to ask for a raise is when there are tons of people out there who would love to have your job, regardless of the low wage.  Do you want ketchup with that?

NUCLEAR WASTE GOES MISSING

Radioactive isotope cobalt-60 waste from a hospital was being transported to a nuclear waste depository when it disappeared in Mexico, authorities say.  It was properly contained at the time of its disappearance, deemed to be a theft and if opened would oppose a serious health risk.  The truck was stolen on Monday at a gas station in Tepojaco, near Mexico City.  It is not known if the thieves knew what they were getting.

COMMENTS:
There is a lot of nuclear waste moving around the world at any given time.  I’m surprised this has not happened before.  I have to think that the container was properly marked with the radiation insignia and danger warnings.  However, if some lunatic got it and can’t read, or who doesn’t care, he or she would be in for a big surprise.  This material would be of no value for bomb making purposes, but it could be scattered in a public area and make a whole lot of people very sick.  I’m surprised it was not attended to when parked; there are some strict regulations when transporting such waste in the U.S.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s your opinion on the resignation of Martin Bashir from MSNBC over his Palin diatribe?  (Mike ~ Tempe, AZ)
A. MSNBC should have fired him the day it happened.  As I said at the time, everyone has the right to free speech, but when you get on the airwaves or into broadcast journalism, there are certain rules of bad taste which you should not cross if you want to stay in the business.  I can remember when Jack Parr got the axe over a simple water closet joke.  I once bumped the needle on a disc while I was on air and promptly said, “Shit!”  The mike was open and I thought for sure I was going to lose my license.  I didn’t, but I sure got a lecture over it.  He should never work on air or cable again.

Q. What do you make of China’s testing our patience over their claiming airspace rights over some international waters in the South China Sea?  (LeRoy ~ Danville, CA)
A. They probably figure that as long as North Korea and Iran can get away with anything, they should be able to as well.  That’s what happens when you have a weak President; Carter proved that beyond a reasonable doubt as is Obama.  China will be able to grab it for free and without fuss after we default on our national debt due to ObamaCare.  Believe me, they know how to play Chinese checkers.

Q. There’s some flap going around about it’s being rude to use your cell phone on a plane.  I tend to agree. What do you think?  (Janice ~ Aptos, CA)
A. That depends on whether you’re the pilot.  Seriously, there are places where it’s not only rude, but outright and downright stupid to use your cell phone.  I’ve seen people in restaurants take calls and leave their dinner partners out in limbo.  Would you take a cell call in a job interview?  Yes, I’ve seen it done.  In tribal council meetings, classrooms, funerals, weddings… you name it; people are rude.  But, paybacks…. Well, I was waiting in a barbershop with two other guys; there was a guy in the chair.  His phone rang; he answered the call and walked outside to talk, leaving the barber and the rest of us wondering just how long the call was going to take.  The barber went over to the door, locked it and sat the next customer.  After about ten minutes, the offender was banging at the door and the barber told the guy she was through with him and he could go down the street to get it finished if he wanted.  Of course, he yelled and screamed, threatened to sue, banged on the door and eventually drove off.  You guessed it: He had a “Vote for Obama” bumper sticker on his car.  Go figure.

OBAMACARE WEBSITE NOT FIXED: PROBLEMS MOUNT

The ObamaCare website was built without any security whatsoever, according to experts who also say the security should have been developed first and then the website built around that platform.  There are unconfirmed, but undenied reports of website penetration already.  This means that anyone who goes through the signup process, whereby social security numbers, dates of birth, financial information and health backgrounds are obtained is exposing himself to identity theft and blackmail.

COMMENTS:
Another serious flaw is that data being obtained is not always put into the proper formats or context by the website, so the correct information or any information at all may not be transmitted to insurance company computers.  One may not realize he/she is not covered at all until doctors and other providers start billing them for services.  Adding to that problem is that there is no system within the website to transfer subsidy or premium payments to the insurers. Late last night it was revealed that Obama and Sebelius had developed a "work around."  They told the insurance companies to bill the government on an "estimate" as to what they were owed, the government would pay and they would settle up later.  I believe this to be in total violation of Federal Procurement Regulations.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Obama said over the weekend that he has “nowhere to go but up.”  He keeps acting as if he did nothing wrong by lying and shoving ObamaCare down our throats.  Is he going to get away with this?  (DeeDee ~ Renton, WA)
A. He’s been getting away with it for five years, hasn’t he?  Until Americans are willing to take back their country, he’s going to continue getting away with it.  Yesterday, one of his believers even came out and said Obama has the right to lie as long as HE thinks it is best for the American people.  Is that delusional or not?

Q. I thought things were “hunky dory” between the U.S. and Iran now.  The other day, Ayatollah Mohammad Khatami said Israel must be wiped off the face of the map and Iran will stop at nothing until it is done.  Who do you believe?  (Robin ~ Lakeside, CA)
A. I’ve said it before: Just because they have a new President doesn’t mean that anything has changed.  But, this Administration’s flat refusal to come to grips with that fact is tantamount to saying, “We don’t care of Iran gets a nuke and attacks Israel.  It’s not our problem.”  In fact, President Hassan Rouhani himself just said, “Enrichment, which is one part of our nuclear right, will continue, it is continuing today, and it will continue tomorrow and our enrichment will never stop and this is our red line.”  Maybe, if Obama would get on his jet plane and fly over there and give the Ayatollah a bow, they might give him the time of day.

Q. How low can you get?  A Georgia elementary school has confiscated Christmas cards?  (Jethro ~ Alamogordo, NM)
A. Everyone has, from time to time, made visual Christmas trees by posting cards received on their walls or doors.  Students from Brooklet Elementary School came back from Thanksgiving vacation to discover that all of their cards posted by teachers had been removed by school. The Christmas card censorship comes as the Bulloch County Board of Education cracks down on religious expression in their schools.  What is disturbing is that America’s religious community lacks the spine to stand up and speak out.

N.Y.C.: WE’RE COMING FOR YOUR GUNS

New York City residents have started to receive notices that they must immediately turn in their rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than five rounds of ammunition.

COMMENTS:
As much as I hate to say this, I think somebody is going to get shot… and it’s not going to be pretty. The gun control idiots seem to be bound and determined to push their agendas to the point of confrontation.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think seasonal holiday shopping will continue slower than usual?  (Arlena ~ Tucson, AZ)
A. Yes.  You have the highest level of people not in the labor force in decades, if not in history.  Incomes are down.  Retirement savings are gone, children are moving home and… ObamaCare is really muddying the economic waters.  People don’t have money to spend and they are not inclined to borrow in uncertain financial times.  It look as if Obama the Grinch, (may be related to Attila the Hun), has stolen Christmas.

Q. Did I hear somewhere that there is a new law that you cannot smoke in your own home?  (Billy ~ Spokane, WA)
A. San Rafael, California’s city council has approved a smoking ban in apartments, condos, duplexes, and multi-family houses on the basis of the possibility of second-hand smoke reaching neighbors.  I am not a smoker, but I think our lawmakers all need to think things through more clearly; why don’t they just ban the use, sale or possession of tobacco products within the city altogether so we can get back to another basic form of prohibition?  Next thing you know, they will ban shooting a gun at any time anywhere based on the escape of gun powder residue into the air.  One by one, these would-be dictators are taking away our basic freedoms and pushing us closer to revolution.

Q. What are the odds that Israel will nuke Iran?  (York ~ Beale AFB, CA)
A. Slim and none, unless Iran strikes first.  Certainly, Israel is poised and may well attack Iran with conventional weapons and those weapons may not be enough to puncture Iran’s underground and fortified nuclear sites.  But, I think any movement of a missile toward a launch pad would provoke an immediate response, so the odds of Iran’s being able to nuke Israel are also somewhat diminished.  That doesn’t mean it won’t happen and then you could depend on Israel and Saudi Arabia to annihilate Iran.

BOGUS EXCUSE FOR DOMESTIC SPYING

Over the long weekend, Representative Mike Rogers from Michigan and Senator Dianne Feinstein from California laid out the case that the nature of terrorism is changing and therefore we need to have higher levels of domestic spying in order to protect ourselves in the U.S.

COMMENTS:
I’m not the first one to say it; “A nation which is willing to give up its freedoms in order to have security will end up having neither.”  Their argument stinks.  Would you be willing to live in a jail to keep the bad guys from getting to you?  If the terrorists change the way they do business, we need to change the ways we monitor them; we do not need to increase the level of spying on ourselves.  It is false reasoning like theirs that is destroying our country from within.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I was paying $495 a month for insurance on myself.  I had a $200 annual deductible and no copays.  ObamaCare wants to charge me $1,100 per month and nail me for a $4,000 deductible.  I will get a $4,000 subsidy.  They say I’m saving money.  Their insurance policy stinks.  What do I do?  (Archie ~ Petaluma, CA)
A. Look at it this way: the government is giving you a $4,000 subsidy, so that wipes out the $4,000 deductible, right?  And you won’t have the $200 deductible anymore, so you’re saving money.  It’s just simple Obamamath 101.  Besides, Obama knows what is best for you.  Isn’t that a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling?

Q. Do you believe an attack from extraterrestrials would unite the world and lead to world peace?  (Karla ~ Helena, MT)
A. Wow!  What do you have in YOUR turkey?  I rate such a scenario to be highly unlikely.  There are credible sightings of UFO’s going back decades; if they wanted to attack us, it would have already been done.  However, if such an invasion occurred yes, the world would unite.  Everyone except the radical Muslims would join forces.  The radical Muslims would try to take advantage of the situation.

Q. The argument is being put forth again that we need to remove term limits on the President.  Obviously, the progressive left-wing is going to try and force Obama down our throats for a third, or even a fourth term.  What is your reaction? (Eve ~ Coos Bay, OR)
A. At a time when a growing number of citizens are favoring term limits on Congress, I have to say, “Fat chance.”  The Obama situation is a classic example of why we DO need term limits.  He’s corrupt to the end, he uses government capital to purchase his own political power and his political machine extends to the press, the media, Hollywood, the unions and even to his own employees in various agencies who abuse their authorities to oppress and attack those who dare to criticize him. Frankly, I believe he is nothing better than a Hitler in black skin.
