HORRIFIC & UGLY JOBS FACTS

Most of America’s unemployed no longer receive job benefits and are not counted in the unemployment figures.  Nearly 1/3 of Americans on unemployment benefits have been out for more than a year.  Nearly 46 million people received food stamps in August, a record.  That figure in and of itself demonstrates that 46 million people or more are either unemployed or underemployed, where statistics simply say 14 million are unemployed and drawing benefits.  If 14 million = 9.0%, then 46 million = 29.6%.  In the Great Depression, the average length of unemployment was 41 weeks; currently, it is 39 weeks.  Those unemployed for longer periods of time are eroding their knowledge and training, making them less attractive to potential employers. 

COMMENTS:

Just ask yourself:  What is your President or your Congressional delegation doing about it and what progress have they made in the last 36 months?  Do you really want to reelect them in 2012?

Q. Do you think the thousands of customers moving their accounts out of Bank of America could push the bank into financial ruin? (Elwyn ~ Richfield, UT)

A. Look at it this way.  If 100,000 customers with an average of $2,000 in deposits moved their accounts, that would be $200,000,000.  Bank of America and its worldwide subsidiaries had over $4 trillion in deposits as of September 30, 2011.  However, the message did get across and the bank reversed its planned debit card fee, so this shows there is power in consumer numbers.  The lesson here is that the government did not need to intervene; the problem was solved in the market place by the consumer.  Therefore, the government should keep its nose out of businesses’ business.   

Q. Do you think Israel will perform a military strike against Iran, and how will that affect the U.S.?  (Horace ~ Sacramento, CA)

A. Yes, they will.  Israel is not going to sit there and wait for Iran to gain the ability to nuke them and we cannot blame the Israeli’s for that position.  Russia is a close ally of Iran and we have always been an ally of Israel.  Therefore, the Russians are exerting heavy political pressure to get the U.S. to tell Israel not to make such a strike.  Obama has been all ears and has definitely chilled our relationsh8ip with Israel.  I think Israel will strike and Russia will be provoked into doing something to us in retaliation.  What that something might be is anyone’s guess at this point, but there is always the danger of World War III whenever you are discussing the Middle East. 

Q. The heat continues on Cain over the sexual harassment charges.  Now that it’s been ongoing for a week, what’s your opinion?  (Felicity ~ Riverside, CA)

A. There’s still no substance, even after all of the political rhetoric and nasty media remarks.  Where is the smoking gun that says he sexually harassed and that he lied to the American people about it?  The anti-Cain politicos are making more of this than they did of Clinton’s Oval Office carpet and cigar escapades with Monica Lewinsky by far.  They should either put up or shut up, period; their prejudices are showing, in full color, (pardon the play on words).

SECRET OBAMA PLAN TO SKIRT ELECTION LAWS

In the 2008 national election, ACORN was accused and later convicted in some states of tampering with the election in various ways.  Many states responded by enacting stricter election laws to keep election fraud out of our political system.  It is now learned that Obama campaign officials are looking not for ways to change those laws or to challenge them in court, but for ways to circumvent the laws. 

COMMENTS:

Why try to circumvent the laws unless you intend to commit fraud?  Obama is out to raise $1 billion for this election.  You may remember I have said in this blog: “With $1 billion, you either buy a helluva lot of votes, or a helluva lot of vote counters.”  Now I say, this election is not about just who wins, it is about the very future of our country.

Q. Herman Cain alluded the other day that China does not yet have nuclear weapons.  With gaffes like that, how can you think he’d make a good President?  (Vangie ~ Reno, NV)

A. Yes, you must be right.  Obama has never made stupid remarks, has he?  Neither did Bush, Clinton, Reagan… they were always well-spoken, weren’t they?  I think too much is being made about something so minute, and I am disappointed that the Republicans are chiming in on it.  If this sentence is all you can find to hang your hat on as to why Cain is not a good candidate, how in the Sam Hell did you ever elect Barack Hussein Obama?  It’s as if everyone is waiting breathlessly for Cain to step into a bucket of shit.  Are you people that afraid of him? 

Q. Do you think we will ever get our deficit under control and our economy straightened out?  (Porky ~ St. Louis, MO)

A. Not with these idiots we have in Congress.  With few exceptions, there is no one in Washington who has enough patriotism and enough belief in our country to step up to the plate and get the job done.  Is no one willing to carry the torch for America?   

Q. This organization, Movember, is encouraging men to grow mustaches for charity.  They are suggesting a $250 tax break for those who participate.  How do you feel about that?  (Shondra ~ Concord, CA)

A. And another $250 for a beard?  I’m all for it.  Did it ever occur to you that if Obama grew a mustache, he would look exactly like Marlon Brando?

A GEORGIA UNIVERSITY GOES OPENLY ANTI-GAY

Shorter University, a private Christian university in Rome, GA, is forcing its 200 employees to sign a "personal lifestyle statement" rejecting pre-marital sex, adultery and homosexuality or risk getting fired.  The university has suggested that students who disagree with the policy should seek education elsewhere. 

COMMENTS:

It’s a private university, Christian-based, and if it is not receiving federal funds then I support its rights to set its standards.  If it was a government-funded school, I would feel otherwise.

A. Absolutely yes.  The drug dealer was a Mexican.  The Obama Administration does not want anyone messing around with illegal Mexicans.  I’m surprised the agent didn’t get ten years.

WHITE HOUSE LOAN SCANDAL HEATS UP

Three firms in financial trouble are now known to have received “last minute” Federal loan guarantees: Solyndra, Sun Power and now Beacon Energy.  Government employees recommended against all three loans based on the financial condition of the companies.  Solyndra and Beacon Energy have filed for bankruptcy.  It is known that top company officials at Solyndra donated substantially to the Obama 2008 and 2012 election campaigns.  The White House continues to stonewall investigations. 

COMMENTS:

This is the way they do business in Chicago.  Anthony Rezko was an expert at this type of corruption.  Anthony Rezko is a close, personal friend of the Obamas.  In that math world, that’s known as 2 + 2 = ?

A. It’s a major, major stock brokerage firm that is filing bankruptcy after it was discovered that millions of dollars in investors’ money is missing.  The investigation threatens to ruin the reputation of former New York governor and Goldman Sachs chief Jon S. Corzine, making it the first American victim of Europe's debt crisis.  Many former execs from Goldman Sachs now work at the White House. 

Q. Will the Super Committee reach agreement on steps to cut the deficit in time?  (Charlotte ~ Dallas, TX)

A. No.  But, don’t count on the automatic provisions kicking in either.  I think the whole scheme was a sham from the outset, in the hopes that Americans would lose their anger over the spending and debt.  Look for them to find some other excuse to kick the whole issue over until next year.  We need to fire every last member of Congress we can lay our votes on in November 2012.  This conduct is ruining our country.   This country is badly in need of an uprising. Yes, we need to take our country back. 

Q. Why is China rushing ahead with a space program?  (Caroll ~ Colusa, CA)

A. The technological advances that come along with a space program will enable the Chinese to advance themselves tremendously from a military standpoint.  Anyone for a game of Chinese checkers?

HUGE THREAT TO U.S. ECONOMY LOOMS

The Greek government, responding to citizens who refuse to go along with new austerity measures as part of a bailout measure, has announced that it is refusing the bailout.  The inevitable next step is for Greece to become bankrupt.  The Greek government could collapse.  If this happens, banks will lose billions and the U.S. banking system will be severely and adversely affected. 

COMMENTS:

This could be a red herring.  Obama is on his way to Europe and there is a possibility that he will pull off a “miracle,” in saving the bailout deal, thereby emerging as a hero.  I think the timing of his visit and the Greek decision is suspect.  If not, we are in for a really rough ride and a very tough Christmas; there is no way we can isolate ourselves from this danger.

A. He will either be known as the worst President the United States ever had or he will be known as the First Czar of The American Socialist Republic.

A. Obama created the divisions; the election is deepening them.  It’s obvious to me that he has done this on purpose.  I don’t care what Gingrich or  Huckabee say, this guy is not stupid and it’s not a matter that he “just doesn’t get it.”  He’s malevolent and conniving. 

Q. Will they ever solve the Baby Irwin case?  (Leticia – Houston, TX)

A. I think so, but it sure has a lot of resemblance to the Jon Benet Ramsey case.  Once again, it appears that police picked their criminal early in the investigation and did not pursue other leads or angles.

U.S. WILL BORROW $850 BILLION MORE!

Without fanfare or trumpets, the Treasury Department has announced it will borrow $305 billion for the remaining two months of 2011 and another $541 billion in the first quarter of next year.   

COMMENTS:

This, I presume, is regardless of what the Super Committee decides.  Let me ask you this:  Can you name one… just one Member of Congress, one employee at the White House, one Federal employee… just one who deserves to keep his job?  ENOUGH WITH THE GODDAM SPENDING ALREADY!

Q. What do you make of the sexual harassment allegations against Cain? (Betty ~ Corvallis, OR)

A. It’s too early in this story to really have an opinion.  Remember that, back in the 1990’s when the alleged events occurred, claims for sexual harassment were relatively new and it was not uncommon for disgruntled females to file false claims and for companies to settle them out of court.  Things have evolved, but that is the way it was then, so we need to hear more about this before we reach judgment. 

Q. I see that Hillary Clinton has testified that the Justice Department did not seek State Department approval to send guns into Mexico in “Fast and Furious.”  Does that mean anything?  (Jerry ~ New Orleans, LA)

A. It’s just one more law that they broke.  You note that Obama has voiced confidence in Holder and said that no one in the White House was aware of it, which means to me that they also are as guilty as sin and were in on it.   

Q. Nevada just put in a law saying you can’t use your cell phones in a car unless it is “hands free.”  California has had such a law for a couple of years; how is it working there?  (Myron ~ Elko, NV)

A. All the dizzy blondes are still driving down the road with a phone in each ear.  It’s a law that is not enforced.
