OBAMA DROPS TROOP LEVELS TO 3,000 IN IRAQ

President Obama is dropping the number of U.S. troops deployed in Iraq to 3,000 by the end of the year.

COMMENTS:
That’s just about the dumbest thing, outside of ObamaCare, that I have ever heard of.  Leaving 3,000 troops there is like hanging them out to die.  If opposing factions or Iranian militants decide to go after them, they’re sitting ducks.  Either keep substantial forces there, 30,000 or more, or get all of the way out.  If I was a military commander, I’d be madder than hell.  If I was one of the 3,000, I’d desert.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think of Obama’s low ratings in the polls?  (Hal ~ Montgomery Creek, CA)
A. He has definitely earned them.  His condescending manners, his stubborn refusal to listen to others, his failed socialistic policies, his cramming things down our throats when we are adamantly against them, his consistent “all talk and no action” on the jobs situation… All of these things have contributed to his negative ratings.  But, rather than to accept the criticisms and to look inward to make his own changes, he chooses to lash out at the Republicans, the Tea Parties, and an unfortunate cop from Cambridge, Massachusetts. He needs to grow up or leave town.

Q. Jimmy Hoffa’s scathing attack on the “sons-of-bitches” Tea Party members over the weekend and Obama’s continuing failure and refusal to rebuke Hoffa’s call to “take them out” has many people very angry and also afraid that union thugs are going to be breaking heads, arms and legs this election season.  Why didn’t Obama speak out against these incendiary remarks?  (Lester ~ Redding, CA)
A. Because, as of this date, the only chance Obama has of winning reelection is to intimidate voters from going to the polls.  Look for the Black Panthers and the S.E.I.U. to be very active as well.  This whole thing is very explosive and that’s why I called for Hoffa’s going to jail and Obama being impeached; they are openly subverting our democracy.  My God, no wonder gun sales are up.

Q. Everyone else has weighed in on it; what do you think Obama is going to say Thursday?  (Javier ~ El Centro, CA)
A. Frankly, my friend, I don’t give a damn.

UNIONS TO OBAMA ABOUT TEA PARTYERS: “Let’s Take Those Sons-of-Bitches Out!”

Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa exhorted his membership and the President yesterday to go to war against the American Tea Parties.  "We've got to keep an eye on the battle that we face -- a war on workers. And you see it everywhere. It is the Tea Party," he said. "And there's only one way to beat and win that war -- the one thing about working people is, we like a good fight."

COMMENTS:
Everyone remembers scenes of union members intimidating voters and stirring up trouble at Tea Party events.  Hoffa has ratcheted up the rhetoric and is, in essence, urging physical violence against Tea Party members.  He’s also telling the President to get on board: "President Obama, this is your army, we are ready to march.  But everybody here's got to vote. If we go back, and keep the eye on the prize, let's take these sons of bitches out."  Hoffa should go to jail for inciting violence and Obama should be impeached because, by his silence, he condones Hoffa’s actions.  Do they want everyone to take out their guns and start shooting?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I am more than a little worried about how technology is affecting our children.  I hear they are no longer teaching writing, because you have computers and math, because you have calculators, and now I even hear they are dropping textbooks and going to I-pads.  Won’t that amount to kids losing their abilities to think and reason? (Myrna ~ Redding, CA)
A. Don’t worry about that; Obama’s minions will take care of your children for you, so they won’t need to be able to think or reason.

Q. Why do some polls show Obama losing to everyone else and some show him beating everyone else?  (Merlina ~ San Mateo, CA)
A. Polls vary by who is conducting the poll, how the questions are worded, and who the audience is that is being polled.  Take the Los Angeles Times, for instance.  They are a Democrat-oriented newspaper that will either consciously or subconsciously ask questions slanted toward a left answer, and their community of readers is largely Democrats.  There, you would expect a poll about Obama’s chances to show him winning against everyone, and it did.

Q. Did I hear that China was selling arms to Gaddafi?  (Jeremy ~ Rocklyn, CA)
A. Chinese firms were, but Beijing is claiming they didn’t know anything about that.  Can you imagine any Chinese arms dealer selling anything to anyone without Beijing’s knowledge and approval?

WHITE HOUSE COVER-UP ON GUN-RUNNING SCHEME? Did Obama Know?

News oozing out of Washington yesterday is that at least three top White House officials were receiving emails and updates about the “Fast and Furious” Mexican gun-running scheme that cost the life of a Border Patrol agent.  The BATF originally tried to blame gun shop owners along the border for selling guns to the Mexican drug cartels and it has been confirmed that they did so at the specific request of BATF.  An active cover up by federal officials of the fact that the agent was killed with guns obtained from the gun shops by the cartels has been in effect.

COMMENTS:
Obama and Rhambo promised far-left liberals that they would find a way to force gun control on Americans, even if they had to manufacture something.  The Justice Department is very involved and intimations are that Eric Holder himself was also in on the scheme from the beginning.  Both the Justice Department and the White House have been stone-walling a Congressional investigation into the matter, refusing to provide documents or access to Border Patrol agents to confirm reports.  This could very well be Obama’s Watergate.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I hear even James Carville blasted Obama for scheduling his speech during the GOP Presidential debate next week.  (Vince ~ San Juan Capistrano, CA)
A. You and I both know it was deliberate and the dumb-shit game-playing attempt and political one-upmanship back fired big time.  Obama is the consummate, mean-spirited blockhead.

Q. It’s been so long since we’ve heard anything about Iran’s nuclear ambitions.  What is going on there?  (Wanda ~ Yuma, AZ)
A. The IAEA is concerned that Iran is now trying to engineer a nuclear weapon to fit on a missile.  It is my belief that they have either built a bomb or are close to finishing one.  I expect Israel to take proactive steps almost any day now.

Q. Now I hear that Democrats are referring to the Tea Party as being a “lynch mob.”  When will all of this inanity end?  (Uncle Rich ~ Bremerton, WA)
A. They have nothing constructive to talk about.  They are so used to being destructive that they cannot mend their ugly ways.

ARE THE SIGNS OF AUGUST ECONOMIC GROWTH REAL?

Retailers are showing sales were up in August.  People bought more cars.  More jobs may have been added.  Fewer people applied for unemployment benefits last week.

COMMENTS:
Don’t start dancing in the streets yet.  You would expect retail sales to be up in August; it’s back-to-school time.  Car sales should go up as car agencies try to clear their lots to make room for next year’s models.  At press time for the blogs, it was expected that 90,000 more jobs may have been added, but more that 90,000 became unemployed.  So, all of the hype coming out of a desperate Administration is just that: hype.  All other indicators continue to be bad, some of which are the worst since the Great Depression.  No, S&P is NOT going to restore our AAA rating this afternoon.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think about California allowing illegal immigrants to attend college there?  (Bill ~ St. Louis, MO)
A. Why shouldn’t they?  They have more rights than we do. Our country is now upside down, remember?

Q. What about all of that space junk creating danger for the space station and astronauts?  (Pete ~ Stockton, CA)
A. That junk didn’t just all-of-the-sudden appear yesterday.  The pile has been growing for several decades, but just like our extravagant spending and growing debt, everyone has chosen to ignore it.  Every country that has fired a missile into space bears some responsibility.  How do we clean it up?  Maybe global warming will melt it all in a few years.  Maybe you have some ideas; no one else does at this point.

Q. What do you think about all of those billions of wasted dollars in defense spending in Iraq and Afghanistan? (Lenora ~ Red Bluff, CA)
A. You read it here first, almost two months ago.  Since no one raised a ruckus then, it must not be important?  These are the things that Tea Party members get upset about, and it seems as if there are those in Washington who are trying to drown out the cries of alarm.

FEDS SUE TO STOP AT&T MERGER WITH T-MOBILE

The Justice Department is trying to prevent AT&T’s takeover of T-Mobile for $39 billion on the basis that the new company would raise prices, reduce competition, and provide consumers with fewer choices.

COMMENTS:
I know you are not going to believe this, but I agree.  The country has allowed too many monopolistic practices in recent decades and we are the ones paying the penalty for it.  That’s why the oil companies are able to stick it to us.  Enough is enough. All we need in this country is another GE.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think there is danger of another Al Queda strike on 9/11 this year, being it’s the 10th anniversary?  (Esteban ~ Ukiah, CA)
A. Yes, absolutely.  Of course, if they want to do maximum damage to the U.S., they will ensure Obama’s reelection.  Seriously, the FBI and Homeland Security are entering high alert status.  Keep your eyes and ears open.

Q. What’s the flap over Obama’s speech?  I didn’t catch the whole story. (Eve ~ Bella Vista, CA)
A. For weeks, months maybe, the Republicans have planned a debate among Presidential candidates for Wednesday the 7th.  Along comes Obama who, before going on vacation announces that he has “a plan” to solve our problems, but that he won’t tell us what it is until he finishes his vacation, and now he settles on the exact same time and date for his speech.  Hence the big uproar which, in the final analysis, doesn’t make any sense because we all know that none of us are listening to a word he says anymore, anyway.  So, we’d all be tuned into the debates and he’d be speaking to himself.  Here the nation is in crisis and this jerk is still playing cheap political games.

Q. Does Venus Williams have aids? She just abruptly dropped out of the second round of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships.  (Shara ~ Sacramento, CA)
A. She has an autoimmune disease called Sjögren's syndrome, which affects energy level and causes fatigue and joint pain.  Let’s give her a prayer, but I don’t think it goes away.
