Representative Tim Ryan has announced he will challenge
Nancy Pelosi for the Minority Leader’s spot in the House. “I’m pulling the fire alarm, because the
house is burning down, and we better get our act together or we’re going to
cease being a national party.”
COMMENTS:
He’s one of the few who so far have discerned that the party
has made a drastic mistake in its lunge to the far left. Hopefully, this signals a return to some of
the fundamental American principles of Democratic politics that made so much
sense under Harry Truman, for example.
And might it also portend the end of gutter politics?
