A. The Supreme Court views such acts as being freedom of
expression. I do believe such acts
should constitute renouncement of citizenship, but the offender should have the
right to go to court at his/her expense and prove otherwise.
Q. I was so sure that Obama was going to make a big U.S.
State deal out of Fidel Castro’s funeral.
Why do you suppose he didn’t?

A. Don’t breathe a sigh of relief yet; the White House
announced that it was sending White House Deputy National Security Advisor Ben
Rhodes and U.S. Ambassador to Cuba Jeffery DeLaurentis to the event as an “unofficial”
delegation. And don’t be surprised if,
within the next 50 or so days, Obama announces that as a “gesture of good will”
he is closing the Guantanamo Naval Base and giving it back to Cuba.
Q. If Hillary won by 2 million popular votes, why shouldn’t
they get rid of the Electoral College? (Prentice

A. Here’s the short form answer: If you elect the president and vice-president
solely on the basis of who wins the popular vote, the major population centers
of the country will control the results and the people in the rest of the
country will be disenfranchised from having any representation. When each state gets one vote for each
Senator and one for each representative through the Electoral College, then
everyone in every state has a voice in the outcome.
