I.R.S. GAVE $46 MILLION IN TAX REFUNDS TO ILLEGALS

THE BLAZE is reporting the IRS sent more than $46 million in tax refunds to 23,994 “unauthorized” alien workers who all listed the same address in Atlanta, Ga., in 2011, according to an audit report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).  Thousands of illegals using other addresses received millions more in inappropriate tax refunds.  The IRS assigned 6,411 Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers to unauthorized aliens presumably using a single address in Morganton, North Carolina. According to the 2010 Census, there were only 16,681 people in Morganton. So, for the IRS to have been correct in issuing 6,411 ITINS to unauthorized aliens at a single address Morganton it would have meant that 38 percent of the town’s total population were unauthorized alien workers using a single address. 

COMMENTS:

It’s just one piece of good news after another with these donkeys, isn’t it?  Can you imagine the hassle you are going to have trying to get a healthcare payment that they didn’t make straightened out?  If they attach your bank account to pay for a healthcare premium you already paid, how long are you going to have to suffer and how much are you going to spend in legal fees before you get reimbursed?  The IRS has proven itself to be the Gestapo of America, ruthless and without compassion.

I never thought Obama could win.  There is a lot of time for people to forget about the Rose Law Firm and the Benghazi Massacre.  Right now, I don’t think there is a Republican on the horizon that can beat her and the Republicans are too disorganized to do anything about that fact.  Maybe Ben Carson will switch to the Libertarian Party and run with Allen West.  That might be interesting.   

Q. You may have hit the nail on the head when you asked whether or not reporter Michael Hastings was murdered by the FBI.  I was reading in THE BLAZE that about 15 hours before his tragic death he sent an Email saying that he was in the middle of pursuing leads on a big story involving the FBI and the NSA.  Would they really do something like that?  (Claudia ~ Dubois, ID)

A. As much as I dislike saying this, I believe we have allowed our government to get to the point where they are capable mentally, morally and technologically of bumping someone off the radar if it suits their agenda. 

Q. President Obama has said that he is going to force the country off of fossil fuels one way or another.  He just announced that he intended to withdraw thousands of acres of federal lands from oil exploration.  Informed sources say he decided to scuttle the Keystone Pipeline and is just waiting for the right time to announce it.  These moves are destined to force the prices of energy enormously high and to really shut down our economy.  How can he get away with these things?  (Reynaldo ~ Shelby, MT) 

A. We have an entire country madder than hell at Obama and his administration.  I, and others like me, warned the country this is what would happen if they reelected Obama.  Instead of whining about it, you should be inundating your Congressional delegation with emails, wires, faxes and phone calls and let them hear of your displeasure.

BORDER SECURITY: FORGET IT

The Democrats are doing everything possible to prevent significant closing of the Mexican border. Many Republicans are chiming in.  Congressman Steve King says, “The only way you can trust these people is only if they support this: secure the border, no legalization until that border is secure, then, let’s start the talks on something else. That’s really the only way we get this done.  They’re not serious. They want to undermine the rule of law — and anything that legalizes is a path to citizenship, which is, of course, amnesty.”

COMMENTS:

There’s a big pushy rush on to get this bill passed before summer recess.  It’s somewhat akin to what they did with ObamaCare, and we’re going to pay this penalty as well.  With an open border and amnesty and instant entitlements, we’re going to drain Mexico of all of its citizens and become a poor, third world country ourselves.

A. No, but they’re surely making an issue out of her pro-abortion stance.  The harsh words came after Pelosi blasted a reporter for asking the “moral difference” between a late-term abortion and the murder of a viable baby after birth. Pelosi responded, not by answering the question, but by accusing the reporter of having an “agenda” and not being sincerely interested in an answer.  Obviously, she is comfortable with killing a live baby on the delivery table.  The only remaining question, now that we know she is capable of murder, is how old a person has to be before she thinks murder is a crime.  She should be excommunicated from the planet. 

Q. How do you think the Supreme Court will rule on the California gay marriage issue?  Californians have voted for restrictions against gay marriage several times.  (Lionel ~Chico, CA)

A. If they follow the Constitution, it should be a unanimous decision in favor of the anti-gay movement.  You need to remember that there are four staunch liberals on the Court who do not believe the Constitution as written is the supreme law of the land.  The Feds have no business sticking their busybody noses into states’ rights.  You have four conservatives who generally follow the Constitution, and then you have Kennedy.  Actually, you have both Kennedy and John Roberts; who knows what Roberts is going to do?  I look for a 5-4 split decision favoring the California voters. 

Q. What’s your opinion of the U.S. charges against Edward Snowden?  (Blanca ~ Wendover, NV)

A. They had to file charges.  The courts will decide his fate.  Just remember that, if it were not for him, we wouldn’t have the slightest idea what our security agencies were doing to us.  For him to have the guts to do what he did is, I feel, an outstanding act of patriotism.

4.5 MILLION PEOPLE COULD HAVE LEAKED DOCUMENTS

Testimony yesterday brought to light the fact that 3.5 civilian contractors and 1 million federal employees have security clearances and could have leaked documents.  As this week wore on, it has become evident not only that those being interviewed are not being truthful and complete in their answers, but those asking the questions have been content not to follow up.  In one example, it was asked whether or not the use of the phone record/email monitoring technique had contributed to the discovery of the plot to blow up the New York Stock Exchange; the answer was put forth that they should ask them members of the jury that question.  But, there was no follow up and the fact is that there was no jury because the perpetrators entered into plea agreements. 

COMMENTS:

I’m sorry, but all of these investigations by our so-called “tough and grilling” Congressmen are nothing but window dressing and a phony dog and pony show.  I am now convinced that there are no honest and patriotic Americans in our government.  None, not one.  It’s sickening to see what has happened to our country.  Those “investigators” don’t want to know the truth!

A. I think Ayers is upset that Obama didn’t name him to a Cabinet Post.  This is like the pot calling the kettle black, as far as I’m concerned.  Ayers used bombs as his preferred method of pushing his liberal agenda on the country, and he doesn’t apologize for it. 

Q. Mitch McConnell is suggesting that Obama used the powers of his office in intimidation and a “rampant effort” to silence critics.  Do you think there is truth in that allegation?  (Jacki ~ San Juan Capistrano, CA)

A. Yes, absolutely and beyond all doubt.  Obama is known to throw temper tantrums.  Behind the scenes, he is a mean-spirited President who “gets even” with those who cross him.  He makes Nixon look like an angel.

Q. The security people keep saying that there is no way domestic spying activities can hurt us because anything they do requires a court order.  Is that true?  (Soulee ~ Inglewood, CA)

A. THE GUARDIAN has just released two more secret documents from NSA files. One of them reveals that the NSA’s discretion in picking surveillance targets is capricious and in-house—determinations are made by NSA analysts, without court oversight.  Just because you lack the authority to do something doesn’t mean you can’t do it.

SYRIA: U.S. GUN-RUNNING ARMS TO BOTH SIDES!

First, we have Barack Obama who has ordered small arms to be delivered to the Syrian rebels.  Then, we have a Pentagon contract with a Russian company, Rosoboronexport, to supply the company with military helicopters that will funnel through Afghanistan and end up carrying arms, ammo and supplies to the Assad regime.  Yes, we are indirectly helping the slaughtering of tens of thousands of Syrians. 

COMMENTS:

And we have an arms embargo against Assad?  Somehow, I think this is an overt act of treason.  We’re getting involved and we’re selling weapons to both sides?  Every day I think I’ve heard about the most outrageous activity ever undertaken by our government, and then comes the next day.

A. You are right on target.  I think he’s deliberately trying to make us vulnerable. In the world of diplomacy, you never give up a bargaining chip without something in return. 

Q. The A.P. has been awfully quiet about the D.O.J. seizure of their phone records and journalist’s phone records.  Have they been threatened to shut up?  (Twiggie ~ Reno, NV)

A. Maybe.  But their President, Gary Pruitt, went on the record yesterday to say that the Justice Department even violated its own rules when it secretly seized records for thousands of phone calls at the AP.  He questioned whether it could serve to enable authoritarian governments to crack down in their own countries and suggested that the tactics used by D.O.J. could be used successfully by a dictatorship in this country.  I think things will now warm up. 

Q. Do you think we will end up with a useful, meaningful immigration policy and way to deal with the illegals?  (Michelle ~ Studio City, UT)

A. Not with Obama in office.

NAPOLITANO, D.H.S. WANT SAME SPYING POWERS AS N.S.A. HAS

The drive for an expanded DHS role in domestic spying has been picking up steam. CISPA was reintroduced in the House of Representatives in February and passed in April. Although the bill stalled in the Senate, one of its most troubling portions remains intact: a provision granting private companies immunity from “any provision of the law” if they break privacy agreements between themselves and their customers to share private information with the federal government.

COMMENTS:

If you think for one minute that the greatly expanded role of spying on the American people, plus the construction of that massive new data center in Utah is innocuous, you’ve got another thing coming.  The government doesn’t collect information it doesn’t intend to use.

A. Unchanged.  The more they insist everything is hunky dory, the more convinced I am that they are lying through their teeth.  It’s interesting to note that, while they insist their program prevented all of these terrorist attacks, we’re five years down the road from a successful attack in New York City and the FBI and NYPD are offering a $65,000 reward for any info.  Two cases where all kinds of signals were out there that a terrorist action was about to take place, the Fort Hood shooting spree and the Boston Marathon Bombing were not prevented.  I don’t think the ends justify the means. 

Q. Now that Obama is getting us involved in Syria, how do you think he intends to get us back out?  (Jean ~ Chico, CA)

A. He hasn’t even considered that question.  But, don’t worry; trust him.  If you weren’t in the situation room, you don’t have a right to know any of that stuff.  He’s such a good looking President, isn’t he? 

Q. CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson has had both her office and personal computers hacked.  Known for her investigative reporting on the Benghazi Massacre and Fast & Furious, she says that there were moments when her computers exhibited “bizarre behavior.”  Do you think it’s the feds?  (Trudy ~ Shawnee Mission, KS)

A. Well, she says she knows but is not going to say until a computer forensics analysis is completed.  The fact that DOJ went after James Rosen and the Associated Press is certainly indicative to me of more government foul play.  If that turns out to be the case, the House needs to start Impeachment proceedings.  That would be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

TWO UPDATES TO PRIOR STORIES:

The bloody Chicago violence last weekend reported in Monday’s post at 33 shot and seven dead eventually settled at 46 shot. 

The question in Tuesday’s blog misled me and I fell for it.  It was about the decision of the Supreme Court against Arizona’s requirement for proof of citizenship before being issued a voter registration form.  The question indicated the Court making the decision was the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals.  My apologies. 

NATIONAL I.D. SYSTEM READY TO ROLL OUT

A national identification system is lurking inside the new Immigration Reform Bill, according to informed sources and NEWSMAX.  In order to verify an immigrant’s legal status, employers would be allowed to access the databases of drivers' licenses in individual states through an expanded network created by the Homeland Security Department.  This opens the door to the creation of file numbers for every American and a single, national, searchable database of vital biographic information and photographs of nearly every American. 

COMMENTS:

The fact that this is buried in an immigration reform bill, the fact of NSA, DOJ, and IRS spying and the construction of a national data center capable of collecting every tidbit of information about every citizen of the country should be enough to send shudders up the spine of every American citizen.  It’s downright scary, it’s unconstitutional and our leaders obviously don’t give a damn whether you like it or not.  And, why in hell does D.H.S. have all of our driver license information?   WAKE UP AND SEE IT FOR WHAT IT IS!

A. There are several groups lining up to go after them right now.  For example, Freedom Watch wants $20 billion from the data-grab scandal.  Rand Paul is going after the NSA.  The only problem here is that, should they win, it’ll be you and me forking over the judgment money. 

Q. ObamaCare keeps sounding worse and worse.  I see the rates for the cheapest plans are going to be 200% higher than for comparable non-ObamaCare plans.  Rates in Ohio are going up by 88% and in California, where major insurers are refusing to join the exchanges, remaining insurers are cutting corners by denying access to providers.  Isn’t there some way Congress can stop this horrible law?  (Barney ~ Lakeport, CA)

A. The Democrats are the only ones scared, but Obama has threatened them should they quit backing his ObamaCare Plan.  They’ll probably get an IRS audit.  The Republicans are licking their chops, knowing that the plan is a disaster and will probably assure them gains in 2014.  Obama is simply daring anyone to try and kill it.  It is said that the mere mention of killing ObamaCare will get you an audit, a wiretap and a broken leg for which no doctor or hospital will treat you. 

Q. Why are the courts joining Napolitano and Obama on preventing Arizona from dealing with the illegal immigration issue?  The Federal Appeals Court yesterday is appalling.  (Phyllis ~ Sun City, AZ)

A. Federal Law trumps state law on similar issues.  That is a fact and the Federal Law says that a particular form required to register must be issued and used by the state.  The state sought to require proof of citizenship before issuing the form.  Now then, the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals, the most liberal appeals court in the nation’s history, wasted no time in ruling against Arizona.  While Arizona officials say their law is needed to stop non-Americans from voting in elections, opponents see it as an attack on minorities, immigrants and the elderly.  This will probably add some fuel to the fire of efforts to create a national identification system.

BLOODY CHICAGO VIOLENCE

At least seven people were killed and 30 more injured by early Sunday morning in a weekend of gun violence in Chicago, where gun control laws are the strictest in the nation. 

COMMENTS:

It is obvious in reading the reports that the gun owners were in illegal possession and, had the victims also been carrying weapons, the story might well have been different.  Although it is ironic, it is a proven fact that the cities with the toughest gun control laws have the highest incidences of crime.  The cities with the loosest gun control laws have the lowest rates of crime.

A. “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. He who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither.” ~ Ben Franklin said that many decades ago and he was right on.  And with this Administration in particular, we need to be suspicious.  I don’t trust one word coming out of Obama’s mealy-mouth, let alone members of his government goon squad.

A. I’m getting damned sick and tired of illegals coming into our country and proceeding to demand from us how we will run it.  I’m getting more and more inclined to ship every damned one of them back to Spain, where they originated.  Let them walk across THAT body of water to get here.  Have we all gone out of our minds to tolerate this? 

Q. Already, Boy Scout leaders are showing their true agendas by marching in a gay pride parade in Salt Lake City, in Scout uniforms.  Isn’t only a matter of time before the wholesome organization for boys turns into an ugly gay factory?  (Frank ~ Arvada, CO)
