SEBELIUS IS BOOTED

The word yesterday is that Kathleen Sebelius has resigned.

COMMENTS:

I suppose that Obama now expects America to accept the sacrifice and to forget the horrible ObamaCare debacle at election time.  That’s the way he works… let someone else take the fall.  And he expects that all of his Democrat cronies will be reelected in November, after which he can go ahead and implement the rest of ObamaCare that is destined to bring this country to its knees.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. I just had a run-in with a hot-headed fully-fledged left-wing liberal. She cut me to ribbons and I am so intimidated, but I know she is dead, dead wrong.  How do you respond to this?  (Tillie ~ Helena, MT)
A. You don’t.  These people do not deal from a position of knowledge of facts, because they’ve never investigated for themselves what is real and what is not.  They don’t want to admit their lack of knowledge and take the only approach they can: they shout, jump up and down and bully their opinionated views on anyone within striking instance. You know the old ploy: if you don’t have a good defense, take the offense.  They are not worthy of your time or effort until they are willing to open their feeble minds to reason and logic.

Q. Now that we’re down the road a decade or two, what is your opinion of Bill Clinton as President?  (Ivy ~ Seattle, WA)
A. He is responsible for the beginning of the mess this country is in.  He proved that morality, ethics and patriotism truly have no place in the White House.  Now, I will give him this: he was a wonderful manager of the economy, 180 degrees opposite of Obama.  But, he certainly is undeserving of most of the adulation he currently receives.

Q. Why is it taking forever for the House to get to the bottom of Benghazi and the I.R.S targeting scandals?  (Yancey ~ Tulsa, OK)
A. Because they are complicit.  They refuse to issue Lerner immunity and get to the facts.  They are not extending immunity to anyone involved in the Benghazi story.  They are dragging their feet and show little, if any, real interest in bringing these matters to a close.  They huff and they puff, but they are letting Obama and the Democrat machine blow the House off.

VA KICKS OUT FLORIDA STATE INVESTIGATORS

When news spread about an increase of deaths at Veteran hospital across the U.S., Florida Governor Rick Scott send a delegation of state health inspectors to review records and conditions at a Riviera Beach, Florida VA hospital; they were unceremoniously tossed out on their ears.  The Department of Veterans Affairs shot down a Freedom of Information Act request earlier this year by The Tampa Tribune, claiming it could not reveal the locations of all the hospitals where the Florida deaths occurred because the documentation was still “preliminary.” The Tribune did report, however, that the Sunshine Healthcare Network recorded the second-highest number of patient deaths or injuries nationwide over a two-year span between 2009 and 2011.

COMMENTS:
Evidently, the VA doesn’t want Florida State Agency for Health Care Administration officials sticking their noses into VA affairs, regardless of how many veterans die.  Here’s another incidence of crappy treatment of our Veterans by an uncaring Obama Government that, under the circumstances, should be welcoming all of the help it can get.  We’d probably discover that the hospital quit using sanitary procedures in order to save money for ObamaCare.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think of the news that they have located the missing Malaysian 777?  (LeRoy ~ Reno, NV)
A. Although it’s not totally confirmed yet, it looks as if this might be the real thing.  That will bring closure to the families and a big sigh of relief from those of us who have been concerned about a potential air strike against New York City.  It may be a long time before we find out the cause.

Q. I see Holder blew up at his Congressional hearing the other day and Kerry went after McCain.  Are the big bad losers of the Democratic Party now in the snarling dog attack mode?  (Jamie ~ Sun City, ID)
A. Whenever they start getting heat for their manipulative lies and anti-American ways, all Obamacrats turn into pit bulls.  I seldom agree with McCain, but he nailed Kerry dead-to-rights over our foreign policy and Kerry had a royal hissy fit.  Holder got his back up when he was nailed about his consistent lack of cooperation over so many things.  Perhaps a good dose of Ex-Lax would solve their problems.

Q. Can you imagine Al Sharpton as being an informant for the FBI?  (Wendy ~ Lakeport, CA)
A. When it comes to far-left-wing-radical-Democrats, nothing amazes me anymore.  These are the guys who inspect New York tanning salons more often than abortion clinics.  These are the guys who want to ban cigarette smoking and to legalize marijuana smoking.  If they had any brains, they’d truly be dangerous.  If WE had any brains, we’d run their condemnable buns out of the country.

OBAMACARE POSTICHE

The PATRIOT UPDATE in asking how you get from 5 million to 7.1 million in ObamaCare signups in two weeks, reports that DHHS was mailing out letters notifying some Americans that DHHS had started the ObamaCare signup process for them.  In other words, there are probably 2 million or so signups that were initiated not by the citizens, but by the Obama administration and may not yet be complete and are undoubtedly not paid for.

COMMENTS:
These bastards just keep on lying, and lying, and lying.  When is SOMEONE in this country going to stand up and put their feet to the fire? (Irate rant....)

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Holder is talking about making the owners of guns wear a bracelet that communicates with the gun, so that the gun will not fire unless it is in the possession of its owner.  Will that work?  (John ~ Durango, CO)
A. It would have had no effect on either shooting at Fort Hood, the shootings in Newtown or Boston Naval Yard, or the shootings in Lakewood, Colorado.  Further, if the non-owner steals the gun, is he not also going to snatch the bracelet?  And the fingerprint technology is fine, but how is the owner then going to be able to sell or trade-in his gun?  We need to start dealing with the underlying psychological and sociological issues and skip the bogus fixes.

Q. I don’t understand how this country has gone from being so adamantly against marijuana use to starting legalization of it in such a short time.  (Tessie ~ Flagstaff, AZ)
A. George Soros has directly invested some $80 million into legalization efforts over the last 20 years and Progressive Insurance invested another $40 million.  In addition, both contributed heavily to organizations which have pushed the pro-marijuana agenda.  Soros says his solution to the marijuana problem is better education on the effects of drugs, but he’s evidently willing to support the sale to those who don’t get that education.  Yes, you guessed it: He’s a left-wing Democrat to the nth degree.

Q. I keep hearing stories about how the government is going to seize pensions in order to pay its debt.  Is that possible?  (Hank ~ Van Nuys, CA)
A. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.  Jesse Jackson is saying the government should go ahead and do that because we need the money for “benefits.”  There are other signs the government might make such a move.  Don’t you just love Obama and his two-bit thugs?

HAVE THEY FOUND THAT BOEING 777?

Three different sources are now saying that they have heard the “ping” that could be from the black box on the missing Malaysian jetliner.  However, not one of the sources recorded the pings so they could be analyzed.  Australian authorities confirmed on Sunday that a Chinese patrol vessel had picked up a fleeting "ping" signal twice on Friday and Saturday in waters west of Perth, near where investigators believe Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 went down on March 8. As a consequence, more planes and ships were being sent to assist in that area.  Meanwhile, on Sunday an Australian ship carrying sophisticated deep-sea sound equipment picked up a third signal in a different part of the massive search area, some 300 nautical miles away.

COMMENTS:
Big whoopee!  I have to admit that I would love to have confirmation that the plane is in the Indian Ocean; that would certainly negate the possibility that the plane is in terrorist hands in the Middle East someplace, wouldn’t it?  I’m, sorry, but I’ve had recurring dreams over several years about a “ghost” plane coming out of the darkness of night and dropping a nuke on New York City.  Oh, and by the way, no terrorist group has the $35 million to $55 million it takes to buy a used 777 these days and such a purchase would raise some eyebrows anyway; so, why not just steal one?  Underwater currents have different layers of temperature that can affect the traveling of signals such as the ones we are looking for.  It is possible that the “pings” heard 300 miles apart could be coming from the same source, just as it is possible that the pings are not from a downed jetliner.  Based on the information available Sunday at 7:15 PM EDT, I say the odds are still 70% that the plane is on solid ground in the Middle East.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How do you feel about all of those security cameras at intersections?  Wasn’t there some talk about tying them into the NSA network? (Chloe ~ Ridgecrest, CA)
A. Yes, there was such talk; I haven’t heard of any recent follow-up to that.  The cameras originally caused an outrage from citizens who were concerned that they would be used to issue tickets and how could the authorities know who was driving the car?  Perish the thought, we were told; they were be used only in the event of traffic accidents at the intersections and for adjusting traffic control lights… period.  All over the country, they are currently being used to issue speeding tickets and other violations; so much for that promise.  It seems to me that every time officials use “period” in promises, we certainly must know they are lying through their teeth.   It's obvious they are being abused, so the cameras should be removed.

Q. Hillary Clinton has been “banned” in San Diego?  (Pete ~ Palm Desert, CA)
A. Clinton announced she has cancelled her upcoming visit due to her heavy schedule.  Protestors promised to give her a hard time over her handling of the Benghazi issue if she showed up, but she’s going to appear by satellite link anyway.  I guess she doesn’t want to personally face the music.

Q. Are you satisfied now that they’ve signed up 7.1 million for ObamaCare?  Will that shut you up?  (Georgia ~ Compton, CA)
A. I do not believe for a millisecond that 7.1 people have signed up and paid.  But, let’s assume Obama is correct.  6.2 million people got kicked off their own plans.  That’s a net gain of 900,000 people with insurance… according to Obama’s own math.  To spend hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars and to so totally turn the healthcare industry upside down in the process, all for 900,000 out of 330 + million Americans is reprehensible and outrageous.  Every single lawmaker who voted for it should be run out the country on a rail, and that includes Barack Hussein Obama and his gorgeous sidekick, Kathleen Sibelius.

CONGRESS IS UNDERPAID?

Congressional Representative Jim Moran has started the ball rolling for an increase in Congressional pay, claiming that $174,000 plus perks a year is totally inadequate.  “I think that the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid,” Moran told ROLL CALL. “And you know, I understand that it’s widely felt that they underperform; but the fact is that this is the board of directors for the largest economic entity in the world, and a lot of members can’t even afford to live decently when they’re at their job in Washington.”

COMMENTS:
And I thought Obama had family jewels.  The answer, Mr. Moran, is short, sweet and simple: If you don’t like the pay, get another job.  If you underperform, why should you expect me to pay you more even if you are on the board of directors of the biggest failing economy in the world?   According to your way of thinking, job performance has nothing to do with pay.  Are you a member of the S.E.I.U. or are you bucking for a job in the White House?   Get lost. Do not pass go, do not collect $200; just get lost.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Obama is upset that the major T.V. networks individually refused to grant him a prime time slot to celebrate his supposed 7.1 million ObamaCare signups in.  Don’t they have to grant him the time slot by law?  (Corey ~ Anderson, CA)
A. No, they do not.  It is interesting to note that for the first time in my memory they have not bent over backwards to accommodate the wishes of his royal highness, King Obama the 1st.  And this includes liberal networks as well as FOX.

Q. Mozilla has forced out its Chief Executive Officer because he contributed to an anti-gay marriage group in California a few years ago.  How do you feel about that?  (Oroville ~ Franktown, NV)
A. Mozilla can force out underperforming executives at its will.  It does not, however, have the right to dictate to its employees what their political or religious beliefs may be.  I support the Mozilla boycott.  I’m looking for another browser source, excluding Explorer.

Q. Harry Reid says the latest Ft. Hood shooting should be a renewed call for gun control in this country.  How do you answer that?  (Morgan ~ Fredonia, KS)
A. I agree.  Since there are too many police shootings in Albuquerque, all police officers and sheriff deputies there should be relieved of their right to carry a weapon, on or off duty; same with all Army personnel, since we have two major shootings involving the Army.  My major question is this: How did two Army personnel at Ft. Hood who were both observed to have mental issues get their hands on guns?  As for Mr. Reid, I agree with his position as well and suggest that he set an example by ordering his Secret Service detail to disarm, post haste.

OBAMA WANTS TO INCREASE U.N. FUNDING 33% TO 43%

When U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power testifies before a House Appropriations subcommittee next Wednesday, the panel will consider a budget request for international organizations that is 33% bigger than last year’s, including a 43% hike in U.S. contributions to peacekeeping missions.

COMMENTS:
Over my dead body.  The United Nations is beyond useless.  I know Obama believes the U.N. should morph into being the New World Government with him as Premier; he’s got another thing coming.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. Did Obama give rosary beads gifted to him by the Pope to Nancy Pelosi?  (Al ~ Garden Grove, CA)
A. Yes.  I guess Obama didn’t appreciate the gift all that much.

Q. A friend told me that CMS and Medicare are considering changes to the Prescription Part D that could force insurance policies up or force policy holders to change their benefit plans.  Evidently, this is due to ObamaCare cutting Medicare funding?  (Bitsy ~ Boise, ID)
A. This new regulation is just another example of big government undermining free-market enterprise and competition. The government should not be interfering in your prescription drug benefit.  This could take place at any time now, and it is important that you contact your Congressional delegation to voice your opinion; this is just one more rape of the American public.

Q. What is your opinion of the proposed Ryan budget cuts that would save us $5.1 trillion over the next ten years?  (Edgar ~ Scottsdale, AZ)
A. I think it sounds good, but it does contain a provision that cuts back Medicare drastically.  The premise, I guess, is that Medicare and Social Security qualify as “entitlements” in the sense that they are government giveaways.  We have been paying into both of those programs, many of us all of our lives, with the expectation that certain benefits would be available upon retirement.  It is grossly unfair and classically Un-American to cut those benefits when we all know that those two funds have been raided by the government fat-cats for past spending binges.  Taking away the benefits now amounts not only to double-taxation, but taxation without representation.  Now, if they leave the current plans alone and restore what they stole before, I can go along with modifying the program for future generations, because you’ll be modifying their expectations at the same time.

OBAMA’S DUMB FRICKIN’ MOVE: THE DUMBEST YET

NASA has broken off all relations with the Russian Space Agency. The letter to the Russian government states: “This suspension includes NASA travel to Russia and visits by Russian Government representatives to NASA facilities, bilateral meetings, email, and teleconferences or videoconferences.”

COMMENTS:
Does this mean that our astronauts are no longer allowed to speak with Russian astronauts on the International Space Station?  Tit for tat… What if Putin decides to throw U.S. astronauts off the I.S.S.?  Why in the dumb Sam Hell do you make this move when we have two astronauts sharing space with Russia?  Forget the fact that it politicizes the I.S.S.; supposing they refuse to return our astronauts to Earth?  Are we going to have a tea in the Rose Garden?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why didn’t Obama come out and make another call for a gun ban after the second Ft. Hood shooting yesterday?  (Cornell ~ Rock Springs, WY)
A. Because the shooting will be seized upon by the press for the next week or so, taking away from Benghazi probes and ObamaCare shortcomings.  He needs the focus to change and calling for a gun ban would just exacerbate every single thing that his Administration has screwed up, which is an endless list.

Q. What do you think of Mike Morell’s testimony about Benghazi on the Hill? (Archie ~ Ogden, UT)
A. Morell has obviously agreed to fall on the sword in order to save the Obama Administration.  He said that it was his decision to take the word of those back home in the United States over the word of his top CIA chief in Libya at the time and to call the massacre the result of that infamous nasty anti-Muslim video.  No one in his right mind would take the world of politicians back home over experienced field personnel on the scene.  In other words, he lied; he lied under oath.  Let’s see what the House does now.

Q. Now there’s another change in the information about the Malaysian 777 regarding who said what last.  That is coupled with statements to the effect that we may never know what happened to this plane.  What’s your reaction?  (Clark ~ Kent, WA)
A. Yesterday, I changed my opinion to 50-50 that the plane was in Pakistan.  I’ll now change it to 70% the plane is in the control of some terrorist agents planning some nefarious act.  It may be in Pakistan, Iran… even Yemen.  I am 70% of the opinion it is not at the bottom of the Indian Ocean, based on everything I’ve heard and read.

68,000 CONVICTED ILLEGAL-ALIEN CRIMINALS RELEASED

TOWNHALL.COM is reporting: “The Obama administration has allowed tens-of-thousands of violent illegal aliens to go free inside the United States and without deportation. An analysis of Immigration and Customs Enforcement data shows 68,000 convicted criminals were released in 2013. According to Department of Homeland Security policy, an individual is only determined to be a criminal alien if they have a criminal conviction, which does not include traffic offenses.”

COMMENTS:
As corrupt as this Administration is proving to be, I’d be willing to bet that those 68,000 are all now registered as Democrats to vote and that they have signed up for ObamaCare.  Not only is this disgusting, but it is gangsterism at its worst and very dangerous for millions of innocent, unsuspecting Americans.  By the way, it is also an impeachable offense.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. ObamaCare was supposed to make sure that every uninsured American in the country got covered.  Has ObamaCare accomplished that?  (Teddy ~ Lake Elsinore, CA)
A. At least half of the uninsured have refused to sign up.  The White House is not releasing any stats on the breakdown of signups, such as how many have actually paid, how many are illegal aliens, how many enrolled twice in error, how many were forced off their own plans they liked and onto ObamaCare, how many of the 6.2 million who lost their insurance actually switched to ObamaCare or whether or not the prison population is included.

Q. Just what is the Holy Chalice?  (Perry ~ Lakewood, CO)
A. The silver chalice is allegedly the chalice used by Jesus at the Last Supper.  Spain is now claiming to be in possession of the chalice, ensconced in the Basilica of San Isidoro.  The goblet, known as the Infanta Dona Urraca, belonged to Queen Urraca, who died in A.D. 1126. We shall see.

Q. What is the problem with the GM cars that has Congress all upset?  (Libby ~ Goleta, CA)
A. The ignition switches in some cars have failed, allowing the engine to shut down while driving; when you lose engine power, you also lose power brakes and power steering and 13 deaths have resulted.  Most manufacturers and locksmiths advise that you keep your car keys separate from other keys that you carry.  When you have everything on one large key ring, the extra weight of the extra keys can cause additional wear on the ignition switch and premature failure.

OBAMA’S LATEST FUTILE FAILURE

Obama’s recent trip to Europe and the Middle East was billed as an opportunity to build a consensus on how to handle the Ukraine, Iran and Syria.  The results are now in, and the predominant opinion is that his mission was a failure and his trip did little, if anything, to improve things.

COMMENTS:
Perhaps they are able to see through Obama, whereas the left-wing liberal Democrats in this country cannot.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Is it possible that MSNBC could go off the air? (Tad ~ Happy Camp, CA)
A. Their ratings are plummeting as well as earnings.  They must either change their editorial policies or face the inevitable.

Q. I didn’t tread the article, but I did see an interesting headline that the stock market is rigged.  Do you agree?  (Helene ~ Sitka, AK)
A. I have long felt that some of that TARP money was funneled into a special fund to keep the stock market up and make Obama look good.  It’s really the only thing that makes sense to me, being as the market is up while the economy sucks.  What they are referring to, however, is that some high money investors seem to be getting advance and inside information from computer programs that allow them to trade in advance of actual market fluctuations.

Q. Do you think we will ever find out what happened to Malaysian Airlines Flight 370?
A. I have not wavered from my opinion that the aircraft is on the ground in Pakistan or thereabouts.  I did concede that the evidence from satellites certainly showed the probability of airliner wreckage in the Indian Ocean; but, I did not give up the ship, simply saying that the odds of my being correct had dropped to 30%.  Given the fact that they have moved their search area and that pieces of debris they have managed to retrieve are not associated with the airliner, I’m going to revise my position upwards to 50-50.
