The only religion they have is Obamanism.  He is their messiah, their highest of high potentates upon which their world revolves.  Our God be damned.  Remember that when you step into the voting booth.  Is that really who you want to lead this country?

A. They have 70,000 seats to fill and not nearly enough takers.  I do not know if others have been charged or not; they are requiring “credentials” and I assume that some type of a donation has been expected.  It will be the night of Obama’s speech and the DNC has been desperate to not show a half-empty stadium. 

Q. When asked by a reporter how he would grade himself on the economy, Obama said, “incomplete.”  Why on earth did he say that?  (Charles ~ Chicago, IL)

A. Because he couldn’t say, “present.”  And, by saying, “incomplete,” that goes with his position that he needs another four years to finish the job.  Any other President has spent the first four years doing the job he promised to do so that the voters would reward him with a second term.

I can’t believe the audacity of this President, now having speakers at the convention say how much he stands behind our veterans and military when he started off his Presidency by trying to bill veteran’s insurance companies for wartime injuries.  What a two-faced lying s.o.b.  (The Major ~ Tacoma, WA)

A. In his case, what you see is what you get.  Americans would be wise to tune him out and start paying attention to what he does, not what he says he does.

IRAN ON VERY VERGE OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

The Associated Press, (AP), is reporting that Iran has 1,000 centrifuges operating in an impenetrable fortress three feet under solid rock, enriching uranium far beyond what is needed for a peaceful nuclear reactor.  Iranian military commanders have discussed plans for a nuclear-powered sub, which would need uranium at near weapons grade.  There seems to be a recent increase in activity and secrecy that could indicate the Iranians are about to emerge as a nuclear weapons power. 

COMMENTS:

This situation is obviously not on Obama’s radar screen; he’s in full campaign mode.

A. If we come out of the November elections with a Republican President and Republican controlled Congress, they will repeal it.  Here’s another piece of bad news:  In Britain, where they have socialized medicine, over 8,000 medical doctors have left the country since 2008 to practice elsewhere.

A. Of course we’re better off!  We have Debbie Wasserman Schultz don’t we? 

Q. I just heard that Obama is getting sued.  What’s that about?  (Ivan ~ Las Vegas, NV)

A. The lawsuit, filed by an independent American oil and gas company charges that the Obama administration is blocking legitimate efforts to find and produce oil from offshore wells. By March 2010, ATP Oil & Gas Corporation received oil leases and necessary permits to drill in the Gulf of Mexico, and installed state-of-the-art drilling and processing equipment to safely access already-penetrated oil reservoirs.  The project was privately financed with $1.5 billion from J.P. Morgan.  When the Deepwater Horizon well blew, this project was shut down and they have never been able to get government approval to proceed, although hundreds of jobs would be created and our dependence on foreign oil would be reduced.

U.S. SCALES DOWN OCTOBER MANEUVERS

The U.S. has been actively building up its forces in the Strait of Hormuz to prepare for October’s joint military “training exercises” with Israel.  This has led to speculation, mine for certain, that Obama was ready to strike Iran in October if he felt he was losing in the polls going into the November elections.  The U.S. announced yesterday that it is dramatically scaling down its participation in these “exercises.” 

COMMENTS:

John Bolton thinks that this is a devastating action designed to put more pressure on Israel not to use a military strike against Iran to protect itself from potential nuclear attack.  It also is another outright slap in the face of Netanyahu, as well as signaling Iran that we have no intention of preventing their acquisition of nuclear weapons.  But, there is a skeptic in me.  If you are going to attack an enemy, why keep telling them you are coming?  They’ll just harden their defenses.  Instead, lead them to believe you are not going to attack, and that will make your attack objective easier to carry out.  If we’re still hanging around in the neighborhood in a few weeks, even though we are “scaling down,” that’ll answer the question, won’t it?

Q. I understand the Pentagon and the White House may file charges against Navy Seal Matt Bissonnette for authoring a book about the Bin Laden raid, on the basis that Bissonnette disclosed national classified secrets in the process.  (Tom ~ Davis, CA)

A. That is correct.  Considering what secrets have been leaked by the White House and the fact that Obama invited Hollywood writers over to the CIA to get some info for his forthcoming movie, that’s like the Black calling the kettle a pot. 

Q. Sarah Palin told Mitt Romney to get with it?  (Melanie ~ Atascadero, CA)

A. As the Republican National Convention wound down Thursday evening, Sarah Palin said it was time for Mitt Romney to "quit preaching" to the conservative Republican base and get on with targeting the Reagan Democrats and independents he'll need to win the White House.  She hit the nail on the head.  Kenyans and Chicagoans fight dirty in politics and Mitt is going to have to trust his base to stand behind him and go after Obama and his cronies with full force and vigor.  The time may even come when he has to get off the high road and get down into the gutter to deal with this scoundrel.  If he’s not prepared to do these things, we’re toast.  (Hold the marmalade until after the election, please). 

Q. The NFL and the umpire’s union, the NFL Referees Association, are at odds and the season is about to begin.  What does this portend?  (Carlos ~ San Jose, CA)

A. They’ll hire temporary replacements and let the games begin.  Now, here’s how I see the situation.  The country is at an all-time high of unemployment, underemployment and people who have given up.  Anyone, I mean anyone, should be happy to have a job.  If the referees aren’t happy working, then screw the season and let them sit on the sidelines.  Enough idiocy is enough.

SWINE FLU ON THE RISE

Attendees at state fairs are being warned not to pet the pigs; a new strain of the swine flu virus can now transmit directly to humans.  Fairgoers are advised to wash their hands and avoid taking food and drinks into livestock barns.

Gosh, I guess that means the Democrats can’t hug each other during their convention, ether?

Q. I see the Federal Appeals Court turned down Texas’ voter I.D. law.  Are they saying that they don’t care who votes in this country anymore?  (Charlotte ~ Raton, NM)

A. Governor Perry is making much ado about nothing.  The court ruling said that voter I.D. laws are okay as long as those affected can readily and easily comply with the law so that it is not adversely impacting the poor and minorities.  In the case of Texas, it said that some residents would have to travel too many miles and that the law as written could discriminate.  So Texas has two choices: rewrite the law so that it more closely resembles similar laws in other states that the Supreme Court has held to be Constitutional, or appeal the latest ruling, in which case I think the Supremes might side with the appeals court.   

Q. Hollywood and the liberal left are sure dumping on Clint Eastwood.  Can’t a man speak out about his convictions in this country without being ostracized?  (Red ~ Redding, CA)

A. Not if he’s a conservative.  Now, if Clint had spoken at the Democratic Convention, they’d all be gushing with praises.  The Democratic Party is old and stale and needs a name change to more closely resemble its image:  How about, “The Hypocritical Party of America?” 

Q. Is Iran really actively supporting Assad in Syria?  (Benny ~ Pocatello, ID)

A. Iran just sent a warship loaded with arms up the Suez Canal to Syria.  What’s more, the U.S. asked Egypt to deny passage to the warship and Egypt refused.  Obama sure has a lot of clout in the world, doesn’t he?

CHARGES AGAINST ARPAIO GET DROPPED

Ever since Sheriff Joe Arpaio started tackling the problem of illegals in Arizona, the Obama Administration has been out to get him.  Authorities have been investigating Arpaio’s part in failed public corruption cases against officials who were odds with him. Arpaio brought cases against a judge and two county officials in 2009.  The Feds, at the direction of Obama’s Administration, started investigating allegations of “abuse of power.”  That investigation has now been dropped. 

COMMENTS:

Even Eric Holder couldn’t trump up enough evidence to nail Arpaio?  My God… What is this country coming to?

Q. I remember that, when ObamaCare was still being pushed down our throats by Obama, Pelosi and Reid, AARP suddenly came out in staunch support of the plan.  There was a big uproar and accusations that AARP was selling out its membership.  What ever came of that?  (Karen ~ Gilroy, CA)

A. Seniors hated Obama’s bill, because they rightly feared its steep cuts to Medicare with no meaningful cost containment mechanism other than denial-of-care, and we already know now that those fears were justified.  The Democrats’ health care law will result in a windfall for AARP that exceeds over $1 billion.  In this single step, AARP morphed from being an association for seniors into a profit-making cut-throat insurance company.  There is now at least one other association for seniors that offers benefits and medi-gap insurance that is against ObamaCare and well over a million people have switched. 

Q. I’m sick and tired of hearing about Iran thumbing its nose and the U.S. saying “Let’s apply some sanctions,” and the IAEA reporting the sanctions are not working.  It’s been the same old story ever since Obama took office.  Do we have to wait for them to nuke Israel before we wake up?  (Sig ~ Marina del Rey, CA)

A. There is a school of thought that should Iran nuke Israel, there would be world-wide cheering among radical Muslims and Islamists everywhere, including the White House.  Setting that aside, if Obama is in any danger at all of losing the Presidency on October 1^st, 30 days from now, look for the U.S. to strike Iran by the middle of the month, 45 days from now.  Obama would do that just to get a resulting boost going into the November elections. 

Q. Is it true that Obama honored the passing of Neil Armstrong by creating a photo of himself?  (Sherry ~ Las Cruces, NM)

A. Yes.  He created a picture of himself looking up at the moon.  It’s just another self-centered, narcissistic way of telling America that he is better than you… or Neil Armstrong.  The proper, courteous tribute would have been a picture of Neil stepping on to the surface of the moon.  Now we have to say, "One small step for man, and one giant step for Obama."
