GINGRICH SURGES, CAIN HANGS ON

With the steady decline of Rick Perry and others, both Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich have been surging in the polls.  More recently, the seemingly unfair and relentless attacks against Cain by innuendo have taken their toll and he has slipped.  What has gone largely unreported is that Cain has offered to take a lie detector test if the blonde bombshell will also take one and she has thus far refused.  As of the moment, Romney, Cain and Gingrich are virtually tied. 

COMMENTS:

Anyone who has been watching the polls over the last year knows that Romney hasn’t moved all that much; as a matter of fact, he’s down a tad and certainly no clear leader.  Based on this, I would say Republicans feel he has a good chance of beating Obama but they really don’t like him.  I second that emotion.  As things stand today, however, I would be ecstatic over a Cain-Gingrich ticket; that really turns me on.  Oooo, baby, does that turn me on!

A. Since the President and most Members of Congress have never served in the military, they don’t have a clue.  Yes, it’s redundant and ridiculous.  But, then again, so is Obama. 

Q. What about Jefferson County in Alabama declaring bankruptcy?  (Jennifer ~ Buena Park, CA)

A. Don’t worry about that.  The recession is over and things are fine according to Obama and the media.  The fact is that the federal government is trying to push expenses back on the states and local governments, rather than cutting spending.  The counties and states can’t print their own money so they are, as the proverb says, “screwed.”  This won’t be the last county to file bankruptcy.   

Q. What is your opinion about Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae?  (Tillie ~ Lake Oswego, OR)

A. They should both be dismantled; Barney Frankfarter and Christopher Doddleberry should both be in jail.

WHITE HOUSE SCROOGE WANTED CHRISTMAS TREE TAX

The Department of Agriculture decided to tax the sale of every Christmas tree in the United States 15 cents.  The White House was on the very verge of approving the tax.  The public uproar over the proposal forced Obama to sideline the proposal. 

COMMENTS:

The Constitution of the United States reserves the right to impose taxes to the Congress.  How did this thing get the green light in the first place?

Q. If John McCain had been elected in 2008, how do you think the country would stand today?  (Gladys ~ Auburn, CA)

A. I think the country would be much better off from an economic standpoint; he would have brought in some smart economic guys for some ideas and, unlike Obama, he would have listened to them.  You surely would not have seen this major push for socialism.  Outside of that, I don’t know that there would have been much difference. 

Q. With Obama refusing the House subpoena for information on the Solyndra case, what’s next?  (Garth ~ Houston, TX)

A. The Supreme Court, which means that this information will not come out until after the November 2012 elections.   

Q. How can we deal with a media and press in this country that distorts the news and hides the facts?  (Charles ~ Las Vegas, NV)

A. Quit buying their newspapers and magazines and quit watching their “news.” Their declining advertising revenues will take care of the rest of the problem.

CAIN ALLEGATIONS SMELL LIKE A DEAD FISH

Attorney Joe Bennett yesterday called a special news conference to announce new details in the Cain sex harassment charges.  He then proceeded to announce that he would be contacting the female accusers from the National Restaurant Association to ask them to join him and Karen Kraushaar in a press conference and that he would have another press conference to announce when that press conference would be.  Kraushaar, it turns out, also filed sexual harassment charges with a subsequent employer who had denied her request to work from home.  Sharon Bialek, the only other woman who has identified herself, suffers from chronic unemployment and two bankruptcies and has no explanation as to how she supposedly ended up in a hotel room alone with Herman Cain, a compromising position that most respectable women would avoid at all costs.   

COMMENTS:

This whole scenario proves more and more by the minute that it is a manufactured attempt to smear a good man.  It amounts to trial by innuendo.  There is not one shred of evidence put forth so far that would be admitted in a court of law.  It’s all “she said, he said” and when you examine the credentials of the parties involved, you have no choice but to side with Cain.  It reminds me of some of the things Nixon did to his opponents and it’s immoral and unethical as hell.  Furthermore, those who pursue these ridiculous charges are tainting themselves by lending some sort of supposed credence to them.  Put up or shut up.

A. What relations with Israel?  Obama destroyed our relations with Israel months ago.  If there is a Jew left in the country who will vote for his reelection, I’ll have lox and bagels for breakfast.   

Q. What do you think about the Penn State sex scandal?  (Carl ~ Reno, NV)

A. It seems to me that more of us should be clinging on to our guns and, in particular, our religion.  Now, here is a case of sexual misconduct that has witnesses and credible evidence; yet, the press and media continue to dwell on Cain.  Why?  And yes, in this case someone needs to go to jail.   

Q. The news is out that the IAEA has confirmed that Iran is working on nuclear weapons.  Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is basically telling the world to butt out.  What are we going to do about that?  (Shelly ~ Alturas, CA)

A. I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama invited the pompous little midget over for a beer in the Rose Garden.  Outside of that, I don’t think we’re going to be doing anything.  The Super Committee is not going to reach any agreement which means they have to cut defense spending by 50% unless Congress reverses itself.  And, with DOD spending $30,000 for commodes and $1,200 for hammers, where are we going to get the money to do anything about it?  Maybe Solyndra might kick in a few million?  If anything is going to be done about it, it will be up to Israel to do it.

YET ANOTHER LOAN SCANDAL: WHEN WILL IT END?

The Department of Energy gave a “conditional commitment” to Severstal Dearborn LLC in June for a $730 million loan to help boost development of Advanced High Strength Steel, which the Obama administration believes will be a key to developing lighter and more fuel-efficient vehicles.  The firm is a wholly-owned subsidiary of foreign firm (OAO Severstal is a Russian firm), with products already available on the market from other manufacturers, and which Severstal already produces. 

COMMENTS:

Once again we have to ask: How much money did they donate to Obama’s reelection campaign?  This whole loan debacle is chuck-full of Chicago-style graft and corruption and we have to put a stop to it.  The only way we can stop it is to vote the Obama and his thugs out, out, out.

A. If they succeed, it will be the miracle of the ages.  I think they’ll either come back with 50% of what their mandate is or they will fail altogether.  I hope to be surprised, but the crux of the problem is that there is not one politician on the panel, Democrat or Republican, who has a real fire in his belly to cut the deficit.    

Q. Doesn’t the fact that Gloria Allred brought the woman with the latest sexual harassment charges against Cain to the media lend some credence to the charges?  (Kathy ~ San Francisco, CA)

A. Gloria may be a good attorney, but she is a left-wing liberal and I do not believe she would hesitate to torpedo a Republican candidate.  I’m not yet prepared to go out on the proverbial limb and accuse her of that, but this whole thing just does not yet add up.  For one thing, the woman says she didn’t say anything about it at the time because she was “embarrassed.”  Why was she alone with Cain in the first place?  Now, years later, Cain is running for the Presidency and she’s no longer “embarrassed?”

Q. If the recession is over, how come there was a huge 3^rd quarter increase in credit delinquencies?  (Foster ~ Anderson, CA)

A. Because people aren’t paying their bills on time, which usually signals a lack of sufficient income.  But, according to Obamanomics, just because the economy is crappy does not mean we are in a recession.

CAIN TAKING STRONG LEAD!

A poll being conducted by Newsmax had Cain at 35% of the vote, Gingrich at 31% and Romney at 15%, with about 128,000 votes counted.  This is after the sex misconduct allegations against Cain have been boiling for a week.  Most of the Newsmax audience is conservative and this poll indicates they are not too hot on Romney, either. 

COMMENTS:

And the Republican hierarchy, afraid of Cain’s popularity, continues to join the Democrats in bashing him.  This amounts to murder by innuendo.

Q. Now we have a 4^th woman who claims Cain tried inappropriate sexual contact with her during his time with the NRA.  What is your answer to that?  (Andrea ~ Redding, CA)

A. As of press time, I am not moved.  Did she file harassment charges against him at the time?  Why haven’t the other three come forward?  What is her political affiliation?  Why did this alleged "event" take place after she was terminated?  The more this goes on, the more it appears to me to be a smear campaign and the more I am convinced that Rick Perry’s organization is behind it.  Stop and think about it; why have there been no charges filed by people who did not work for the Restaurant Association?  Why were the charges that were filed by employees of the association settled for very small amounts?  Why didn’t these charges emerge before Cain’s former campaign employees went to work for Rick Perry? 

Q. 49 million Americans are living in poverty?  Why aren’t Obama and the government doing something about it?  (Charice ~ Toledo, OH)

A.  Because the recession is over and everything is rosy?  Obama would have us believe that, but I think the real answer is because Obama wants it that way.  Those people depend on him and the government for subsistence and it is believed that those people will not dare to vote against him. 

Q. The “Occupy” protests are becoming more violent.  The Tea Parties never engage in this type of activity.  Why isn’t our government putting a stop to this?  (John ~ Yuma, AZ)

A. I don’t want to scare anyone, but I predicted shortly after Obama’s election a series of events that would occur including national unrest building to a crescendo going into the 2012 elections.  I based these predictions on the possibility that the stage would then be set for Obama to declare a state of national emergency, to “postpone” the elections and to take over the government.  Now, I am not saying that is what is definitely going to happen, but all of my predictions in this respect have come true so far and we certainly need to be concerned and to pay attention.

IS GREEK CRISIS OVER?

With the agreement going ahead to bail Greece out of its financial woes coupled with strict economic sanctions, the world is drawing a deep breath.  Many economists doubt, however, that this “fix” is anything but temporary.  Predictions are that, within months, Greece will be back in the frying pan.  In the meanwhile, Italy is facing a worsening crisis and is next on the agenda as Germany and other European nations struggle to make gains against the impending hour of decision. 

COMMENTS:

Here at home, Barack Obama and his cohorts are saying that our recession is over and that the Greek “fix” is going to stabilize our economy and provide the basis for some real growth.  That rosy prediction is more wishful thinking than reality.  The Christmas short-term hiring season is approaching, but retailers have already announced they are only going to hire half as many “temps” as last year.  Oil and gas prices continue high and the housing market continues in a free fall.  While we all long for some solid financial footing, that appears to be elusive as long as the government continues with regulation after regulation and unchecked spending.  The Obama attempt to convert the country into socialism will continue to stagnate the economy and leave us still dangling on the brink of financial disaster.

A. As astute as they are, they’ll probably start grounding planes.  This is one of those problems created when we rush headlong into new programs without researching the potential ramifications.  It looks like The Department of Energy blew this one, (pardon the play on words). It’s costing billions of dollars to remedy. 

Q. What do you think of Michelle Obama’s diet?  (Terri Lee ~ Raleigh, NC)

A. I think going on a diet is an admirable project for anyone.  The only drawback is that your opinions often end up carrying less weight in the world.  (I know, it was a stretch but you smiled anyway, didn’t you?)  

Q. Why did Gloria Cain back out of an interview with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren?  (Patasha ~ San Jose, CA)

A. I can’t say, but my guess is that it was to be her first public outing and she was nervous and also somewhat intimidated by the sexual misconduct allegations being aimed at her husband.  How would you like to go on national television for the first time under those circumstances?  Don’t count her out, though; she’ll step up to the plate in time, I’m sure.  Not every potential First Lady has been at ease in the public eye.
