NYPD SHOT THE NINE BYSTANDERS

New York City Police are now confirming that the nine bystanders who were shot in Friday’s Empire State Building shooting spree were shot by police responding to the scene.  One officer shot seven times and one shot nine times.  Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said, "It appears that all nine of the victims were struck either by fragments or by bullets fired by police."  The gunman took ten of the rounds. 

COMMENTS:

Okay, let’s start with the math: seven shots and nine shots totals 16 shots fired by the two officers.  The gunman took 10 rounds, presumably leaving six shots to hit the nine bystanders.  Okay, we can guess that three shots hit both a bystander and the gunman.  NYPD admits the officers had never fired weapons in a patrol practice session before.  One of the first things you learn in obtaining a concealed weapons permit is that you never fire unless you have a clear shot and no bystanders are in the line of fire.  It’s a tough call; here you have a gunman who has just killed somebody and he’s waving his gun around in a crowd, ready to shoot again.  Still, training tells you to wait for the clear shot; otherwise, you don’t know that you are going to hit him with the first shot and you may kill someone else.  This is very bad training.  Granted, they got their man, but these officers should never have been on patrol while carrying a loaded firearm.  That’s my Sunday morning quarterback assessment of what happened; NYPD is culpable.

A. Because Fox, unlike other networks, wants to present the viewer with opposing views on subjects of editorial content.  I don’t know about you, but it’s refreshing to me to have a source that provides me with information from several viewpoints that I can use to decide my position.  My major complaint is that they don’t give us a few minutes of updated news during every non-news hour.

A. As far as I know, they’re still down.  The media obviously refuses to cover the story. 

Q. Joe Biden made a remark a week or so ago about putting blacks back in chains.  Was he serious?  (Rupert ~ Richmond, CA)

A. It’s not a question of whether or not he was serious; it’s a demonstration of their total disregard of Americans and digressive  cultures.  It’s the epitome of elitism.  Don’t feel singled out, though; they’ve done the same thing to religious people, to business owners, to gun owners… They just want to make it clear to you that they are better than you.  Is that acceptable to you?

JAILED FOR POSTING ON FACEBOOK!

Marine Sgt. Brandon Raub was taken into custody at his Richmond, Va., home Thursday, Aug. 16, by FBI and Secret Service agents and Chesterfield County Police. He has yet to be charged with a crime; he was handcuffed and placed in the back of a police vehicle and transported to the police department. From there, he was admitted to the John Randolph Medical Facility in Hopewell for a psychiatric evaluation.  The arrest and detention was apparently the result of Raub’s anti-government posting on a private chat on Facebook and no charges have been filed.  “The law requires that within four hours of detaining someone, you have to have a magistrate write a petition for a temporary restraining order,” said John Whitehead, an attorney with the Rutherford Institute, the Virginia-based civil rights firm that is defending the ex-Marine. “They didn’t do that. I don’t understand how that could happen; it’s illegal to carry guns in New York City!  Evidently, Bloomberg’s anti-gun stance had no bearing on someone bound and determined to wreak havoc.  If everyone at the scene was carrying a concealed weapon and if the shooter knew that, I don’t think the shooting would have taken place. 

Q. A U.S. Appeals Court has ruled that the state can cut off funding to Planned Parenthood Clinics that offer free abortions.  Why?  Women have the right to decide.  (Vanessa ~ Richmond, CA)

A. Not with my taxpayer’s money they don’t.  If they want to use abortion as a means for birth control, they can use your money, Vanessa; not mine. 

Q. Why have the three major broadcast networks, ABC, NBC and CBS, decided not to carry Ann Romney’s address to the Republican National Convention on Monday?  (Terry ~ Redding, CA)

A. The Obama team has been busy trashing her, to no avail.  In fact, she is gaining popularity among the nation’s women voters.  Obviously, these networks are in Obama’s pocket. Late yesterday, however, the Republicans outflanked the networks and moved Ann to Tuesday.  Let's see how they deal with that.

U.S. FACING “GREATEST DEPRESSION OF ALL TIME”

Wayne Allyn Root of Fox News says we are on the very brink. He cites these facts: In 1929 America was not $16 trillion in debt, plus facing over $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities. (That’s over $360,000 in debt per citizen.)  In 1929, most of our states were not bankrupt, insolvent and dependent on federal government handouts to survive. (One county (Cook County which includes Chicago, Illinois) now owes over $108 billion in debt (the biggest part of it in unfunded government employee pensions). In 1929, we did not have 21 million government employees with bloated salaries, obscene pensions, and free health care for life. A. Making last-minute travel arrangements for that many people would be impossible.  They may have an abbreviated convention, but Romney will get the nomination and Ryan will be his VP nominee regardless.  Besides, all of the blowhards will be heading to Charlotte. 

Q. I see that he Democrat National Congressional Committee has apologized to Sheldon Adelson.  What’s that all about? (Earlene ~ Willows, CA)

A. They had accused Adelson of personally approving of prostitution at his Macau casinos.  The DNCC and the Obama campaign have been doing everything possible to marginalize Adelson because he has pledged $100 million to Republican candidates and to defeat Obama.  The DNCC's retraction called their allegations "unsubstantiated." Using remarkably subdued and apologetic language, it added: "This was wrong. The statements were untrue and unfair and we retract them.”  Awww, shucks.  Do you suppose Obama will call off the IRS agents he has looking into 2001 transactions at Adelson’s Sands Casino in Las Vegas?

OBAMA DISOWNS BROTHER

He has been quick to tell America that we have to “spread the wealth around,” insisting that all of us have “obligations” to come to the aid of those less fortunate.  Yet, and although he is now worth millions of dollars, Barack Hussein Obama’s brother George lives in absolute poverty in Kenya.  George’s son was recently in a hospital and George badly needed $1,000.  He knew better than to call his brother according to a recent report in Fox News.  George has also been denied a visa to visit the United States and his mother, evidently at the request of the White House.  He lives in a shanty in the Huruma slum in Nairobi and gets by on a few dollars a month.  Obama also has an aunt named Hawa Auma, his father’s sister, who ekes out a living selling coal on the streets of a small village in Kenya.  She says she would like to have her teeth fixed, but she cannot afford it.  Obama hasn’t offered to help her either.  http://nation.foxnews.com/barack-obama/2012/08/16/conservative-steps-pay-hospital-bill-obamas-sick-brother#ixzz24IGvYuPQ

A. In the first place, I believe Obama is a Muslim before he is a Christian.  As for the gist of this story, it just goes to prove that atheists are prejudiced bigots who probably like goats more than they like women.  Thank God we won’t have to put up with those heathens in heaven. 

Q. Is Biden really planning to crash the GOP Convention next week?  (Derek ~ Kenwood, WA)

A. Some things really boggle your mind, don’t they?  The answer is yes, but not in the literal sense.  The convention is in Tampa and Biden plans on campaigning in Tampa during the convention in an effort to upstage the Republicans.  I say, let him.  They’re just proving more and more each day what tasteless butt heads they really are.

N.O.W. ATTACKS DEMOCRATS

According to the Washington Times, the National Organization for Women is going after the Democrats, claiming that 2012 convention rules prohibit mothers with children from participating.  Convention leaders, including Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, have refused to provide childcare facilities at the convention and are not allowing children on the convention floor.  "Moms with young children 6 years of age and under who cannot be left at home, some of whom are breastfeeding, are relegated to second-class status within the Democratic Convention, unable to participate as a delegate due to antiquated policies and inadequate accommodations that were apparently in place before Women’s suffrage," says Susie Shannon, a delegate to the 2012 DNC Convention.

COMMENTS:

This is just another in a long list of classes of citizens that the elitist and snobbish Democrats are trying to put down, and I’m sure this decision was engineered by Valerie Jarrett at the White House who simply doesn’t want any disruptions in the convention hall while Obama is being coronated.

A. I listened to what he said and it was not that offensive to me, but I’m not a woman.  I do think it was a poor choice of words and that he should have backed off those remarks and apologized, especially when charges came that he was a woman hater and rape enthusiast started coming forth.  But he didn’t, which means he is standing by what he said.  Now then, he’s said he’s staying in the race and the Republicans have stepped into the well-known bucket by cutting his funding off and alienating him from the party.  This increases the likelihood that he will lose in November and his Senate seat will go to a Democrat, something the Republicans cannot afford to have happen.  Finally on this subject, literally hundreds of political candidates say something stupid every election cycle.  Take Joe Biden, for instance…

Q. What do you think about Britain’s threat to invade the Ecuadorian Embassy and forcibly retrieve Julian Assange?  (Kenny ~ Empire, NV)

A. That would be about the dumbest move Britain has made since they tried to raise the taxes in the American Colonies.  It’s totally against International Law and agreements.  They should have egg on their faces… and on their crumpets. 

Q. Romney has joined Ryan in calling for an audit of the Federal Reserve.  The Obama Administration and the Democrats in general are adamantly against it.  Why?  (Park ~ Henderson, NV)

A. Obviously, there is something that needs to be hidden, just like Holder refusing to turn over Fast and Furious documents.  I also think the Department of the Treasury should be audited; I’d like to examine the accounting on the stimulus and the bailouts.  I’d like to know where the money trail leads.
