THEY’RE LUCKY TO BE ALIVE

Americans United for Separation of Church and State demanded that the Knoxville, Iowa city council take down a veteran’s monument in Young’s Park within the city.  The monument featured a soldier bowing before a white cross, but the Americans United found this an offensive violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment and threatened to sue.  The council, fearing the lawsuit, decided to remove the monument.  The local citizens then got together and voted the entire city council out of office. 

COMMENTS:

The anti-religious zealots in this country need to be hung by their gonads.  The politically correct zombies in this country need to be hung by their tampon strings.

It’s easy; they just cut the checks... to the tune of $142 million.  Even the guys who made a $1 billion management mistake on building a V.A. center in Colorado got bonuses.   Our government… elected officials, appointed bureaucrats and employees… is irresponsible and we’re not doing anything about it.  As far as I’m concerned, they all deserve horse’s heads on their pillows tonight.

AND NOW MR. OBAMA… UP YOURS?

Congress did something yesterday it has rarely done; it passed a law squarely in defiance of President Obama’s dictates… and it was bi-partisan.  By a vote of 91-3, the Senate put the icing on the cake in agreeing to a $607 billion defense budget while at the same time preventing Obama from transferring any Gitmo detainees to any prison in the U.S. and also denying any funds to modify any such a prison to accommodate such transfers. 

COMMENTS:

Well, they passed prior legislation preventing Obama from releasing any Gitmo detainees without their permission, but he did it anyway in the Bergdahl instance.  Now, with the mood of the country the way it is, I suspect… I hope that if he uses an Executive Order to defy Congress on this matter, he will be impeached.  For anything less to happen would be totally un-American.  If he vetoes the legislation, the veto will obviously be overridden.

A. The collapse of the Health Republic ObamaCare co-op in New York is leaving hundreds of cancer patients who are being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan without coverage.  It’s one of those many, many facts not being disclosed by the liberal media.

DHS SQUANDERS $1 BILLION

This from FOX:  “A Department of Homeland Security agency spent more than $1 billion in taxpayer money to digitize immigration paperwork -- and after a decade of work, only has managed to put one document online. The Washington Post reported Monday that officials at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services still are only able to offer a single form -- out of nearly 100 -- for online applications, and make a single fee payable electronically.  All other forms can still only be filed with paper.”

Q. I’m not sure of the facts.  Did I hear that the San Francisco Sheriff who just got voted out of office because of his support for sanctuary cities is going to be the new guy in charge of the Border Patrol?  (Yolanda ~ San Mateo, CA)

A. Close, but no banana.  The Obama administration is considering Heather Fong, former Police Chief and an ardent supporter of sanctuary cities for the Border Patrol job.  The administration is denying that they have even begun the search for the position.  That probably means they will name the person tomorrow. 

Q. Kind of like that deal with Cliven Bundy in Nevada, I hear Idaho cops shot and killed an innocent rancher?  (Buck ~ Lovelock, NV)

A. Another slightly mixed up story!  Some driver ran into a cow near Council, Idaho.  The deputies figured the Black Angus cow, which had an injured leg and was charging them, should be put down; they contacted the owner who was in the process of putting a slug into the cow’s head when one deputy grabbed the owner’s shoulder and the gun accidentally went off.  The rest of the law enforcement officials reportedly turned around and fired on the rancher, killing him.  Somewhere in this story, I think there’s a bunch of bull.

A. The entire military organization, top to bottom, has no love or respect for their so-called “Commander-in-Chief.”  Obama figures it’s their fault.

CHINA THREATENS TROUBLE

The People’s Republic of China has come out with a direct warning to the U.S.  They claim that the South China Sea now belongs to them, that their “island states” there are their sovereign territory and that if the U.S. makes any future attempt to enter Chinese waters, all hell will break loose.  Although the U.S. refuses to recognize the man-made islets as deserving of sovereign territory status, China says it will take "all necessary" measures in response to any future U.S. Navy incursions into its waters. 

COMMENTS:

U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama has responded by insisting that global warming is our nation’s biggest threat.

A. Naw.  I think he died due to global warming.

A. Once again, he did not carry on an intelligent discussion or investigation; he behaved like a screaming liberal.  O’Reilly suffers from paranoia and delusions of grandeur, undoubtedly brought on by too much exposure to global warming.

T.S. AMERICA; OBAMA WILL CLOSE GITMO

Barack Hussein Obama is contemplating using an Executive Order to close Gitmo and to either release the remaining prisoners or to move them to a U.S. prison.  “I’m certainly not going to take anything off the table,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Thursday regarding the President’s taking unilateral action on the prison.  Sources say that the move is “imminent.” 

COMMENTS:

Congress has already enacted specific legislation denying Obama the ability to use any federal funds to close the facility.  Obama, knowing that Congress lacks the fortitude to stop him from doing whatever he wants, seems to be moving ahead anyway.   Up yours, America; you don’t have the guts to stop him, either.

A. That is probably correct.  Byron Price, the construction worker who intervened to save a student under attack, says he now views concealed carry “differently” and wants to get a permit to carry a gun.  Sleep well tonight, Governor. 

Q. I just learned that all of the 20 worst small cities in America in which to live are located in California.  Why is that?  (Chi Chi ~ Yuma, AZ)

A. They were rated according to 1) Affordability, 2) Economic Health, 3) Education & Health and 4) Quality of Life.  California is constantly on the verge of bankruptcy.  It has the highest overall tax rates in the nation and it costs an arm and a toe to live there.  Burney, thank God, did not make the list.
