SHEPARD SMITH UNJUSTIFIABLY IN HOT WATER

Shepard Smith said on FOX NEWS over the weekend that former Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal was out of line for saying, “All lives matter.”  Smith insisted that such language is divisive.

COMMENTS:
I do not agree with or respect Smith for saying what he did, but I sure as hell respect and support his right to say it.  People want him fired.  They’re idiots; they are the ones who are divisive.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I’m upset at Ohio Governor Kasich for refusing to stop people from openly carrying guns at the Republican National Convention.  He says he has no authority to even temporarily suspend Second Amendment Rights.  You’re a gun owner; what do you think?  (Luttrell ~ Indianapolis, IN)
A. We both know that there are going to be protests at the convention and we are both prepared to say there are likely to be violent confrontations.  The cops have enough to deal with; they don’t need to be worrying about every macho, gun toting jackass in the country showing up in the middle of all of this.  I believe strongly in the Second Amendment, but given the circumstances we are faced with in 2016, given Dallas and Baton Rouge, Kasich is stubbornly wrong and probably secretly hopes that there will be gunfire on Trump’s parade.

Q. Some radical Blacks say they should have their own nation within the U.S.  What are your thoughts?  (Gerry ~ Deming, NM)
A. Maybe we could do to them what we did to the Native Americans in this country?  We could find some barren land out in the middle of nowhere with no natural resources and leave them to fend for themselves?  I’m all for it.

Q. I cannot understand, with all of the ugly truth about Hillary Clinton, how she even continues to register at all in the polls, let alone beating Trump.  Do you think they might be rigged?  (Kim ~ Campbell, CA)
A. You’re not accusing the left-wing media of distorting the facts, are you?

CONCEALED PERMIT HOLDER TAKES DOWN AK-47 SHOOTER

A shooter wielding an AK-47 stormed into a Waffle House restaurant in De Soto, Texas and robbed the business and its patrons.  One of the customers, afraid that his wife, (who was on her way to meet him at the restaurant might get shot), followed the gunman into the parking lot and when the gunman turned his AK-47 on him, the patron opened fire with his concealed-carry-permitted gun.  The gunman ended up on life support in the local hospital.

COMMENTS:
For some reason, the liberal left-wing media is not carrying the story.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How do you think Hillary would respond to I.S.I.S. and terrorism?  (Blake ~ Burbank, CA)
A. Judging by her Benghazi past, she’ll not be able to take those 3:00 AM phone calls and she’ll blame some obscure, amateur video-maker for whatever does happen.  Or, maybe she’ll go drag Bill out of the White House intern’s bedroom and ask him what to do.

Q. Why can’t a group of citizens file a lawsuit against Clinton to force her to disclose to the public the full story on Benghazi and on her Email scandal?  (Lyndsey ~ Albany, NY)
A. It’s in the works.  Judicial Watch has asked to depose her in a pair of Freedom of Information Act lawsuits which raise questions about whether her private email system was created in part to avoid making messages accessible under FOIA.  U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan has set a hearing for Monday, [today] on the request for Clinton’s testimony.  Don’t, however, hold your breath.

Q. Why is Congress taking such a long recess this year?  (Cap ~ Davis, CA)
A. They’re all afraid of their jobs when the November elections come, so they want a longer opportunity to get out in the cornfields and bullshit the voters.

NEW HOMES: RED TAPE RAPE

The cost of new homes is up by over $85,000 each due to government regulations, according to July’s NEWSMAX MAGAZINE and the National Association of Homebuilders.  The rising costs are due to: building permit fees, impact fees, utility hook-up costs and building code standards.  These costs have soared over $19,000 since 2011.

COMMENTS:

Income tax rates, sales tax rates and other taxes may seem to be stagnant, but the government will get into our pocketbooks one way or another.  It was recently said to me that only the air is free, but that is no longer true; in some form, we all pay for clean air regulations.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. I understand that I.S.I.S. has a “hit list” that targets innocent Americans.  From where did they come up with that list?  (Channelle ~ Portsmouth, NH)
A. They probably hacked into the I.R.S. target list and got names of Christians and Jews.

Q. Since Hillary Clinton made tens of millions of dollars as Secretary of State, do you think John Kerry is doing the same?  (Elliot ~ Port Townsend, WA)
A. John and his wife Teresa Heinz are said to have squirreled away a billion or more dollars into well-hidden offshore accounts.  Evidently, that’s what they made legally.  As to what they’ve made otherwise, who knows?  Let’s see, Hillary uses The Clinton Foundation….. Check out the Heinz Endowment Fund.

Q. Did I hear that terrorists are planting IEDs in America now?  (Raul ~ Sacramento, CA)
A. Well, you had that incident in New York’s Central Park a week or so ago.  Then, they discovered a highly explosive IED under a bridge between Austin and Waco in Texas, which you probably didn’t hear about.  So, I guess the answer is “yes,” unless you work in the Obama administration, where IEDs are probably referred to as “enhanced pyrotechnics.”

CHINA BUILDS UP NAVAL FORCES IN SOUTH CHINA SEA

Reacting to a ruling by a special U.N. Tribunal at The Hague, China is sending warships into the South China Sea.  “We will never accept it (the tribunal’s ruling). … It is not legally binding,” Taiwanese presidential office spokesman Alex Huang said Tuesday. “We will definitely defend our territorial sovereignty and not allow our … interests be harmed.”

COMMENTS:
Is this the global warming Obama has been talking about?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why do you suppose it is that Hillary is getting away with so much?  Surely, there must be someone in Washington who is honest enough and willing to talk?  (Troy ~ Saginaw, MI)
A. If she were ever convicted, she’d probably sing like a canary and that’s just too much of a risk for the Democrats and other power brokers in Washington to take.  So, they have no choice but to protect her.

Q. Can you make any predictions as to where the VP favorites, Gingrich, Flynn, Christie and Pence will end up?  (Porter ~ Susanville, CA)
A. Gingrich as Veep, Flynn at Defense, Christie as Attorney General and Pence as Chief of Staff.  Don’t forget Kasich; someone has to be in charge of cleaning the restrooms.

Q. What’s this about a NASA cover-up of UFO’s?  (Gordo ~ Salinas, CA)
A. There have been several occasions during live programs from the International Space Station when objects have appeared moving cross-screen in the background, followed by immediate shutdown of the live feeds to its public outlets.  NASA denies deliberately shutting down the feeds, citing “technical difficulties.”

LYNCH FLIPS THE BIG ONE TO CONGRESS

Loretta Lynch managed to successfully duck Congressional questions yesterday, consistently saying either that it would be inappropriate for her as Attorney General to comment or that Congress should ask FBI Director Comey.  When asked if, given her close association with the Clintons over the years, she did not recuse herself from the investigation and prosecution, she insisted that it was handled just like any other matter.

COMMENTS:
What did we expect?  Like I’ve said many times, it’s all just one big con game.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Jeb Bush said he won’t support Trump and we will be sorry.  How do you feel about that?  (Fraser ~ Seattle WA)
A. When he stood on that stage in front of America and pledged that he could support whoever eventually won the nomination, he didn’t add “except Donald Trump.”  So, Bush is just like the rest of the unscrupulous politicians in the “establishment” who will do and say anything in order to get elected and then shove their promises into the garbage can when they take their oaths of office.  A new broom sweeps clean, and Donald will hopefully sweep some of that thinking out of government; Bush has made it obvious that such a move would not be on his agenda.

Q. Do you think Bill Kristol will try to disrupt the Republican Convention?  (Holly ~ Logan, UT)
A. Yes.  He, Romney, Rubio, Kasich, Bush and company all feel that Americans are nitwits and have no right to choose their own candidate.  With the exception of those living and working in Washington D.C., they’re dead wrong.

Q. Koskinen gets off the hook, Hillary gets off the hook, Holder gets off the hook.  Why do we have laws, anyway?  (Ermajean ~ Little Rock, AR)
A. If we didn’t have laws, millions of lawyers, judges, bailiffs, wardens, cops and the leeches who feed off of them would be out of work; the economy would collapse and the fat cats on Wall Street would lose their shirts.
