REFUSAL TO CALL A TERRORIST A TERRORIST

Back in early November, if you can recall, Faisal Mohammad stabbed four at the Merced campus of the University of California.  He was described by his roommate as being “an extreme Muslim,” and he carried a manifesto and ISIS flag.  The White House and investigators in California are steadfastly refusing to call it an act of terrorism.

COMMENTS:
I suppose the stabbings were caused by global warming?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think Obama has a real plan to close Gitmo?  (Chase ~ Big Pine, CA)
A. As you know, we didn’t even ask for hostage releases when negotiating the Iran nuclear deal and the administration offered no real reason for that.  Suppose you were to wake up tomorrow morning to discover that all “Western” hostages in Iran had been released in exchange for the release of all Gitmo prisoners and that Obama had therefore closed Gitmo?  Just sayin’… Nawww; Obama wouldn't do anything like that, would he?

Q. What is this talk of a “brokered GOP convention,” and what does it mean?  (Sally ~ Dallas, TX)
A. Suppose Trump has 60% of the delegates going into the convention and they change the rules to require two-thirds of the delegates to be declared the nominee?  That stymies Trump and releases the delegates from their pledges to cast their ballots for Trump, thereby setting up the ability to pick someone else as the party candidate.  I would venture to guess that if they were to attempt that, not only would everyone involved end up on the outside looking in come November, but all Trump supporters and a good many more party members would leave the Republican Party looking like the political jackasses they are come election time.

Q. What do you think about all of those presidential candidates saying that if Trump wins the primaries, it’ll be a slam dunk for Hillary to beat him?  (Phil ~ Reno, NV)
A. As Rush Limbaugh says… “Then why can’t [they]” beat him?

GOP VOTERS BACK TRUMP’S MUSLIM HALT

NEWSMAX.COM is reporting that two-thirds of likely GOP primary voters favor Donald Trump’s plan to temporarily halt the influx of Muslims to the country until we can get a handle on the situation; the remaining third says they are more likely to vote for him because of his proposal.

COMMENTS:
That’s an interesting story, considering how the media is reporting that the Republican establishment wants all candidates to start dumping on Trump.  Now, why would the “establishment” take a differing view than the party membership?  Sometimes, I think that party has outlived its usefulness.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Americans are fed up with Barack.  Do you think the fact that Carson is Black has anything to do with his sinking in the polls?  (Eartha ~ Compton, CA)
A. No.  The country is in dire need of strong national security, improved foreign relations and a better economy.  By his demeanor, true or not, Carson projects weakness in those areas.

Q. There are many people who say Obama suffers from psychosis to the extent that he should be removed from office under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment.  Could that be true?  (Buster ~ Glendale, CA)
A. He certainly exhibits many of the signs of being psychotic.  On the other hand, if he were to be removed from office, then Biden would become president…

Q. Why do some people, like Chicago’s Rahm Emanuel, have to have people rioting in the streets before they get the message?  (Bruno ~ Daly City, CA)
A. Because they are narcissistic elitists who think they are Gods and that we, the common folks, have no brains or feelings.

ANOTHER BENGHAZI LIE

“I just tried you on the phone but you were all in with S [apparent reference to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton],” reads an email from Panetta’s chief of staff Jeremy Bash. “After consulting with General Dempsey, General Ham and the Joint Staff, we have identified the forces that could move to Benghazi. They are spinning up as we speak.”

COMMENT:
That’s right, a recently obtained email proves that the story put forth in the aftermath of the Benghazi Massacre that military assets were “too far away” and unable to go to the aid of the Benghazi Consulate was, as we suspected, a lie.  Lie after lie after lie… and this president doesn’t understand why we don’t believe a word he says anymore?  ISIS is contained?  Radical Islamic Terrorists don’t exist?  Paris was a slight setback?  Getting rid of global warming will stop terrorism?  There is no more terrorist threat on American soil?  Syrian refugees will be thoroughly vetted?  There are no cuckoo birds living in the White House?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. You have taken some decidedly pro-Trump stances recently.  Does this mean you are endorsing him for president?  (Gates ~ La Conner, WA)
A. I am not endorsing anybody and will not until sometime next year.  But, if the election were to be held today, I’d vote for Trump.

Q. Should Muslims be stripped of the right to own guns?  (Marsha ~ Hermosa Beach, CA)
A. I do not believe that anyone who is not a citizen of this country should be allowed to own guns in this country.  Muslims who are citizens cannot, and should not, be denied Second Amendment rights unless they commit a felony.

Q. Do you think there is any truth to the rumor that Sarah Palin got fired from FOX NEWS because she ticked off Megyn Kelly?  (Feliz ~ Jordan, UT)
A. Yes.  After seeing the way Kelly and company treated Trump in the first debate, I’m convinced of it.

GUN-CONTROL, GROUPS TURN DOWN NRA SPONSORED MEASURE

Texas Senator John Cornyn introduced proposed legislation that would have dramatically improved the gun-purchase background checks in respect to mental problems.  The bill would attempt to preempt gun violence by people with psychological difficulties.  Gun control groups allege that the legislation actually loosens existing guidelines and that veterans declared incompetent by the V.A. would be entitled to a court hearing before they could be denied gun ownership.

COMMENTS:
To me, this was a responsible approach by Cornyn and the NRA to give state and local governments more flexibility to improve training for law enforcement officers and improve background screening.  The response by gun-control groups is short-sighted and contrary to common sense.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How do you feel about the president’s speech Sunday?  (Sabastian ~ Wisconsin Rapids, WI)
A. Since he has changed nothing, I am much more fearful and sad… sad that this country chose such a person to be president, twice.  We’re in trouble, and this guy is not going to lead us out of it.  In fact, he caused it.

Q. Do you think we should start shutting down Mosques?  (Vern ~ Roy, UT)
A. I believe we should quit protecting them, essentially giving aid and comfort to the enemy by being politically correct to the nth degree.  Here’s the way I see it: By far, not all Muslims are radical terrorists.  But, only a few Muslims have spoken out against Islamic terrorism.  We know that the radicals frequently use Mosques as centers for conducting business and planning terrorist acts, but I’ve yet to hear of any Mosque that stepped forth and identified potential threats to law enforcement.  Muslims in general and Mosques in particular need to make a hard choice: If you’re going to be an American, you have to get used to putting your country first.  Should we close down Mosques?  Not without investigations, charges and trials.

Q. Should Americans really be afraid to travel abroad?  (Hy ~ Beverly Hills, CA)
A. I would certainly think two or three times about it before I purchased any tickets.  Given all of the holes that are popping up in our national security system, and given the impotency of our White House in coming to grips with the terrorist threat, I cannot offer any feelings of safety for Americans.  The growing chorus of people advocating for Americans to buy guns, get training and carry their guns with them wherever they go is totally “on target,” so to speak.

WHY WE ARE NOT SAFE

According to Obama and his White House loons, there is no possibility of terrorists coming to the United States through the Syrian refugee resettlement program; they will be thoroughly vetted.  Furthermore, increased gun control and the attack on global warming will protect us.

COMMENTS:
“Thoroughly vetted?”  What about Farook and Malik?  The FBI, DOJ, DHS, CIA and State Department didn’t even know this pair existed.  California has the toughest laws of any state when it comes to gun control, but Malik and Farook got theirs with no problem.  Lies, lies and more lies keep spewing from the Obama camp, which has the unmitigated gall to claim that global warming causes terrorism.  How can we be safe when this is how our government handles the imminent threat of terrorism on our soil?  How?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What city has the highest crime rate in the country?  (Amanda ~ Grand Rapids, MI)
A. Here are the top ten, in order: St. Louis, Detroit, New Orleans, Baltimore, Newark, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Memphis, Atlanta and Cincinnati.  I’m sure you thought Chicago would top that list, but their murder rate has started to soar as their gun laws get tougher.  In fact, there are more murders in Chicago per year now than there were during Al Capone’s reign.  I knew you’d get a bang out of that, so to speak.

Q. Why aren’t we hearing any more about Hillary’s emails?  (Vi ~ Davis, CA)
A. It’s obvious that Hillary will be the Democratic nominee, so the press and media are not reporting on anything that might embarrass her.

Q. There’s a lot of talk about reinstating the NSA collection of data.  What is your opinion?  (Jeremy ~ San Francisco, CA)
A. The NSA did quit collecting communications data, but the phone companies are now warehousing such data which can be accessed quickly via court order, so I see no need to go back to the old system which does expose citizens to government misbehavior.
