Anthony Weiner has taken the ultimate and fashionable “road to salvation” taken by movie stars and other famous people for the last decade or two; he’s going to a treatment center.

My God, it works!  Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have done it several times and Charlie Sheen will soon be doing it again.  It works GREAT!  The media leaves you alone, you get to keep your job and you are repatriated all at the same time!  It’s the crowning excuse and repentance.  If John Dillinger or Jack the Ripper had thought of it, history surely would have been changed.  That dummy John Gotti never thought of it.  How about, “Hey, your honor, I know I was going 95 in a 35, but I was addicted and now I’m taking treatments at the Hillcrest Home for Addictive Speeders.”  If there was any doubt that Nancy Pelosi could save Weiner's job and prevent embarrassment to her far-left wing, this gets rid of it; he’ll never get tossed out of Congress now, and he will forever have the reputation of being that nice, addicted Congressman who had the guts to go get treatment.  Besides, good old Charlie Rangel stood up for him.

A.  Let’s see… He originally said that prior to inauguration in 2009.  He’s been saying that on a regular basis since for at least 2-½ years.  My guess is it'll be at least 2-½ years more, so he’ll probably still be saying it when he leaves office in 2013.  That’s his problem.  He’s like a bird; all mouth and no ass. 

Q. Enough is enough; all jokes must be put aside.  The TSA pat-down of a special needs man with an IQ of a 3-1/2 year old child who was enroute to a Disney World vacation is beyond belief.  Doesn’t anyone have any common sense anymore?  (Jasper ~ Redding, CA)

A. Common sense is not so common anymore unless you are a Democrat; in that case, it's "nonsense." The three guys with knives in their turbans had absolutely no trouble getting through the line. 

Q.  Will Rob Blagojevich get off this time?  (Carolyn ~ Cassel, CA)

A.  No.  Obama needs him out of the way where he cannot damage his reelection prospects.  The Judge is a Democrat, the jury is from Illinois which is Democratic, and the price of sprouts has just gone up.

DRUG VIOLENCE ERUPTS ON MEXICAN BORDER

Suspected drug runners opened fire on U.S. law officials across the border at El Paso Thursday, starting a shootout where three U.S. agents were injured and one reportedly killed.  The shootout began after U.S. agents patrolling in boats tried to seize a drug load on the Rio Grande. 

COMMENTS:

As I and many others have predicted, the violence will continue to escalate until we do something about it.  Maybe when a Federal Judge or two near Washington get bumped off, Obama will think about having a committee look into it.

A.  I have not heard of any Internet banking problems where the bank is an Internet bank, but that doesn’t mean it has not happened.  All of the issues I have heard about are where it is a normal bank with Internet access and a databank gets hacked.  In that case, the hacking would have happened independent of your Internet banking activities.  For the normal, mid-experienced computer user, I advise that you do not keep any financial or other sensitive information on your computer.  More experienced users who are very savvy about computer security should have much less risk.  Anybody can have problems on the Internet; just ask Anthony Weiner. 

Q.  What do you think of the new Droid phones.  (Sally ~ Folsom, CA)

A.  I love mine.  The only problem I have with it is, it is a vampire droid and loves to suck the SIMM Cards out of I-Phones.   

Q.  Do you think we should get rid of Medicare, as has been suggested?  (Mel ~ Weed, CA)

A.  No way.  We need to get rid of the scams and frauds and make some changes to the system, but getting rid of it is out of the question.

MORE AND MORE STATES FOLLOW ARIZONA TOUGH STANCE ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

Pardon the delay again.  I spent the better part of yesterday with my son at the gun range and today doing household chores.  Not to mention the new 60” LED TV hanging on the wall.  So, I’ve been pre-occupied, but we’ll be back on a regular schedule after the 12^th.    

Alabama is the latest of several states to pass a new and tough immigration law, sending one more signal to Barack Obama that they are sick and tired, not only of the way his Administration is handling the crisis, but also of dealing with the growing monetary and social costs of handling illegal immigrants.  "It is clearly unconstitutional. It's mean-spirited, racist, and we think a court will enjoin it," said Mary Bauer, legal director for the Southern Poverty Law Center.

COMMENTS:

I do not know how these radical left wingers get away with this kind of bull.  Anytime I get pulled over, I’m going to be asked for my driver’s license.  I get asked for that and my social security number just about every time I buy a head of lettuce.  At least once a year, I have to show proof of citizenship for something.  And, if I think someone is here illegally, I want them identified and tossed out on their ears.  If the left-wingers don’t like it, they should pack their bags and move to a country where they can be a supreme ruler, like Obama.

A.  I hope not.  I liked the guy until he showed his true colors.  I think he is a genuine American who loves his country, but he’s dead wrong on Health Care and he’s dead wrong on Paul Ryan’s plan to reduce the deficit.  All of the back peddling and explaining won’t change what he said.  If he gets the nomination, however, I will support him.  Hell, I’d support Charlie Sheen for President if he could beat Barack Obama!

Q.  The huge forest fires in Arizona appear to be worse because of environmental laws against logging and thinning forests in a controlled manner.  Isn’t this a case of going too far with the EPA mentality?  (Chico ~ Phoenix, AZ)

A.  Yes.  Don’t get me wrong.  We need to be more environmentally conscious than we were 30 years ago.  I think we have made significant progress in our landfills, our air quality in major cities, and in protecting our clean water supplies.  But, everything we do needs to have a balance to it and the EPA has tilted the scale too far in many cases.  I think when they start telling you how many toilet tissue sheets to use at one sitting, they are way out of line. 

Q.  I hear the Fairness Doctrine is on its way out?  I thought it was getting tougher.  (Clarice ~ Anderson, IN)

A.  The FCC is in the process of phasing it out.  There are several proposals floating around for accomplishing the same intent, and one of them could get approved.  The original concept was good, I think, but the methodology was flawed and allowed political parties to use the doctrine against each other.  Additionally, I don’t see how it is fair to require a broadcasting company to balance its content minute for minute.  Besides, if it was enforced according to its strict interpretation, think of all the face time on TV that Obama grabs…unbalanced.

IRAN ESCALATES NUCLEAR PROGRAM

My apologies to readers of the blog; I am on vacation and have company.  Blog posts may be later than usual through the 12^th. 

With much of the world’s attention focused on more important issues, such as decaying governments throughout the Middle East and the Weiner wiener escapades, Iran has seen fit to take advantage by stepping up its nuclear program in defiance of United Nations sanctions; it is installing more centrifuges at its enrichment facility.  Iran plans to triple its output of the higher enriched uranium in 2011 and move its entire program to a new, secretly-built facility.   

COMMENTS:

It’s kind of like the old “Nero fiddled while Rome burned” story.  Obama appears to be content to let Iran do what it wants, further endangering the safety and security of the free world every day.  Frankly, I don’t know why we just don’t go ahead and sell them some of our nuclear weapons and get it over with, thereby reducing the national debt so Congress can spend more.  See what tight little packages of joy I can create?

A.  Yes.  Al Queda and other organizations have been working on ways to poison the free world’s food supplies and make us afraid to buy food.  The food chain is vulnerable.  So it is possible that these incidents are connected.  Enjoy your Big Mac.

WEINER ADMITS HE WIENERED

Congressman Anthony Weiner, the darling of the far-left Democratic Party, has come clean and admitted that he did, in fact, send lewd photos of himself on Twitter; this after over a week of denials and accusations of Internet hacking.  Not one Democrat offered support.  Notably, none chose to comment on his defiant vow: "I am not resigning."

COMMENTS:

This is the man who denigrated Republicans over the Health Care Bill and budget cuts.  This is the man whose poison tongue ticked off every conservative in the country.  This is the epitome of what far-left Democrats, the kind who think they have the right to impose their views of the world on you and me, stand for.  I’m sure that he believes that he had the right to do these things because he is, after all, a Congressman in the United States House of Representatives and the rest of us a mere pissants in the way of his agenda.  Well, Tony, up your shorts.
