STATE DEPARTMENT STILL UNDER CLINTON CONTROL?

The State Department has asked for a one-month extension on the deadline for releasing the last of Hillary Clinton’s emails.  In a request to the court overseeing the case, the State Department said that it had “discovered” some more emails that need to be included and that they had to be reviewed by associated agencies first.  They also cited the Washington snowstorm, saying that emails sent to those other agencies requesting such review had been delayed due to the snow.

COMMENTS:

Okay, we’re one week away from the Iowa caucuses and Hillary is in deep trouble over her emails and with a campaign falling in the polls against Sanders.  In fact, they have hastily arranged for another, previously unscheduled town hall before the caucuses to try and regain some ground.  The last thing Hillary needs right now is another ton of her emails as fodder for her opponents, so the logical thing is to invent some reason for delaying their release.  Besides, whoever heard of emails being stuck in the snow?  The court should, in my opinion, order State to turn over what they DO have and give them until February 28th to produce the rest.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. I now hear that some of the emails sent to Clinton were so classified that not even top members of Congress are able to read them. What if some of them got hacked?  (Ling ~ South San Francisco, CA)
A. Top analysts, including former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, conclude that Clinton’s private server was indeed hacked by Russian, Chinese, North Korean and/or Iranian intelligence hackers.  “Given the fact that the Pentagon acknowledges that they get attacked about 100,000 times a day, I think the odds are pretty high,” Gates said.

Q. A recent study shows you can only count on four of your Facebook fiends.  Are friendships really all that shallow?  (Hester ~ Lancaster, PA)
A. Four?  I only have two friends total on Facebook.  Everyone else “unfriended” me, whatever that means.

Q. What is Zika?  Someone told me it is more dangerous than Ebola and is already in the United States. (Telly ~ Eureka, CA)
A. The Zika virus has been spreading rapidly over the past several months, most prominently in Brazil. Its spread has been associated with a dramatic increase in a rare condition in which babies are born with abnormally small heads.  The CDC is urging pregnant women to avoid travel in about 25 or so countries.  There is no truth to the rumor that Obama’s mother was infected with the disease.

I.S.I.S. DECLARES WAR ON MUSLIMS

DABIQ, the radical I.S.I.S. publication, has devoted its latest issue on a call for I.S.I.S. and its members and affiliates to kill members of the minority Muslim sect that controls Iran and Iraq and has been at odds with Sunni Muslims for over a millennia.  Worldwide, Sunnis make up about 85 percent of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims.

COMMENTS:
For that matter, they intend to kill any Muslim who does not join their ranks.  Radical Muslims are like liberal Democrats; they will eat their own.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Who do you think is more conservative, Trump or Cruz?  (Mark ~ Medford, OR)
A. Cruz.  Then come Huckabee, Trump, Kasich and Rubio.  Bush, I think, is almost at the end of the list, after the 43 others.

Q. What’s all the fuss about conservatism versus populism?  (Ginger ~ Tahoe City, CA)
A. Conservatism means sticking with politicians with conservative principles.  Populism means sticking with politicians who have charisma and who are popular.  I agree; there should be no difference.  The soon-to-be losers are trying to separate the wheat from the chafe and they haven’t even watered the crop yet.

Q. CONSUMER REPORTS is reporting on why people can’t sleep and what the cure is.  What’s your answer?  (Todd ~ Fremont, CA)
A. People can’t sleep because they have a charlatan for a president.  The cure is to start paying attention to who we elect.  We’d be far better off with Bimbo the Clown than Bimbo the President.

LAW ENFORCEMENT: “PLEASE CARRY GUNS”

Law enforcement agencies across the country are urging citizens to buy guns, get training, obtain a CCW permit and carry their weapons.  The calls for more people to carry guns come as terrorist incidents and shooting attacks against cops are on the rise.  A sheriff in Florida even went so far as to add, “I can tell you the probability of needing a firearm is remote, but it’s more important to have a gun in your hand than a cop on the phone.”

COMMENTS:
Conclusive evidence shows that communities with a higher rate of gun owners have lower crime.  Most gun battles are over with in less than a minute, but the average time it takes for a cop to arrive on an active shooting scene is over five minutes.  It’s obvious to most people that our current president is more interested in taking our guns than in preventing terrorism in the United States.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I don’t get it.  John McCain selects Sarah Palin as his running mate.  John McCain despises Donald Trump.  Ted Cruz idolizes Sarah Palin.  Sarah Palin endorses Donald Trump?  What do you think McCain and Cruz have to say about that?  (Warner ~ Reno, NV)
A. Ah, it’s commonly referred to as “Heartbreak Hotel,” or, as they say in Wasilla… “Up yours, buddy.”

Q. Why has the Republican National Committee decided to drop NBC for the next debates?  (Savannah ~ Vancouver, WA)
A. Because CNBC totally screwed up in their earlier debate and NBC has not been proactive in cleaning up the act.  In other words, the peacock evidently wants to pee.

Q. Where do you think Clinton’s base will go if she gets indicted?  (Myrna ~ Springdale, AR)
A. I suspect that a large percentage of them would migrate to Donald Trump.  Who knows?  This could be a bigger migration than those heading from Syria to Europe.

I’VE GOT A SECRET

Reports are that an unclassified letter was recently sent from Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III to top members of Congress in which it is alleged that many of the emails found on Hillary Clinton's private server were highly classified SAP documents, (higher than Top Secret), and that it would have been evident to anybody handling them that they were classified.  According to the letter, this means that the nation’s highest secrets were subject to being compromised through hacking of Clinton’s unsecure server.

COMMENTS:
Hillary may be the first woman to be impeached before she became president.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you think the Supreme Court will rule against Obama’s immigration policy?  (Vera ~ Danville, CA)
A. If they follow the Constitution, there can be no other outcome.  Of course, you can expect Obama to come out with a harangue just before the decision is announced, warning the Supreme Court that it had damned well better do what he says.

Q. I can’t believe Ben Carson has suspended his campaign.  Is he finished?  (Barbara ~ Longview, WA)
A. The story coming out of the campaign is that several of Carson’s staffers were hurt in an automobile accident, one of them critically.  He reportedly flew to Omaha as soon as he got word.  If this is the true substance of the matter, I would expect Carson to resume his campaign within a few days at most.

Q. Why weren’t any blacks included in the selection of nominees for Oscars?  (George ~ Los Angeles, CA)
A. Either they didn’t meet the selection criteria or Black Actors’ Lives Don’t Matter.

FLINT’S TAINTED WATER: BLAME THE E.P.A.

The city of Flint, Michigan, is in deep trouble over its water system.  It was getting its water supply from Lake Eerie, but decided that taking water from the local river would save money.  Then, residents started becoming ill and it was discovered there was lead in the water.  It has just become public knowledge that the E.P.A. knew of the existence of lead in the water and did nothing to stop it.

COMMENTS:
The river water should have been tested for the presence of lead, arsenic and other dangerous contaminants before the switch was made.  The E.P.A. says it became aware of the problem and tried to work “behind the scenes” to correct it, deciding not to make it public.  Did they think the lead was going to disappear?  If the city was going to remove the lead, it would cost lots of money to install such filters and the citizens would have eventually had to be made aware of the whys.  Here they are, running around trying to regulate the world, and they don’t want to tell the public about the lead in Flint’s drinking system?  Heads should roll over this, the E.P.A. should be sued for medical expenses and any deaths involved, and the Mayor and City Council should serve time in jail and be made to drink river water until they die.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you thank our taxpayer money should be going to fund abortions?  (Abigail ~ Helena, MT)
A. Absolutely not.  This is not about abortion rights, but about whether or not the taxpayer should be involved in funding costs for people who don’t have to be in the predicament they are in.  In other words, one doesn’t have to get pregnant.  If we are going to fund abortions, we should be funding smoking cessation programs as well.  But taxes are paying for some 24% of abortions in this country, and that’s an outrage... something that Obama swore up and down would not happen on his watch.

Q. Has anyone decided what to do with all of the nuclear waste we are accumulating?  (Benny ~ Portland, OR)
A. Not yet.  Yucca Mountain in Nevada was approved for the project, but Harry Reid managed to get it defunded.  The area we are talking about is already contaminated from years of nuclear testing and would therefore be an ideal location.  Now, I think Harry is planning on burying the infamous Bundy family there.

Q. Do you think Martin Luther King Jr. would be pleased with the status quo of American Blacks?  (Twyla ~ Baltimore, MD)
A. I think he would be greatly dismayed to see that our country’s first Black president has done more to divide the country along racial lines than anyone since Jefferson Davis.  Oh… I forgot; Jefferson Davis never existed; all of his statues have been removed.
