CINCO DE MAYO FESTIVAL CANCELED

Organizers of an annual Cinco de Mayo festival in Philadelphia have canceled this year’s event because they are afraid of a massive illegal immigration arrest.

COMMENTS:

I’d jump up and down with joy and scream “Good!” but, why are they punishing the legal Hispanic immigrants by canceling the event?  Then again… I don’t think like a liberal.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. Do you think Trump’s new proposed travel ban from six Middle Eastern countries will get by the appeals courts?  (Kip ~ Lompoc, CA)
A. Yes; they will both overrule the idiotic lower court judges who ignored the law and the Constitution in reaching unimaginable decisions.

Q. Do you think Tennessee 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas went willingly with teacher Ted Cummins?  (Maureen ~ Quincy, CA)
A. They have video of Cummins putting gas in his car after the alleged kidnapping and she is therefore evidently in the car, not seeking to escape.  They were also seen kissing at school a few days before they left.  So, I think she did leave willingly and that they are a couple in love.  I also believe in the birds and the bees.

Q. How do you feel about the report that California’s Darrell Issa is moving his politics further to the left in order to save his Congressional seat?  (R.J. ~ Ashland, OR)
A. I don’t trust a man who refuses to live by his principles.   I mean, why doesn't he just announce he's selling his soul for the right price?

MCCAIN JUST CANNOT RESIST MAKING AN ASS OF HIMSELF

Former Republican Presidential Candidate and current U.S. Senator John McCain from Arizona has accused fellow Senator Rand Paul of working for Vladimir Putin.  According to BIZ PAC REVIEW, in calling up consideration of a treaty that would allow the nation of Montenegro into NATO, McCain preemptively labeled anyone who might wonder what a tiny former Yugoslav country on the Adriatic Sea has to do with U.S. national interests: “If there’s objection,” McCain warned, “you are achieving the objectives of Vladimir Putin. If they object, they are now carrying out the desires and ambitions of Vladimir Putin, and I do not say that lightly.” "I object!" Paul thundered as he walked out of the room.

COMMENTS:
There’s a rule in the Senate that you are not to use the Senate floor to make disparaging remarks about your fellow Senators.  I wonder if anyone will have the guts to call McCain down for it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Who is investigating CNN?  Is Trump going after them?  (Hortencia ~ Yuma, AZ)
A. The Russians are investigating the network to determine whether or not it has been interfering in Russian politics.  Maybe Donna Brazile could answer that question.

Q. I understand that a whole gamut of devices is now tracking everything we do… but personal vibrators, too?  (Elwood ~ Deer Lodge, MT)
A. Come again?  Standard Innovation, a Canadian company, has agreed to pay a $3.75 million settlement over allegations that its We-Vibe vibrators collect such information and transfer it immediately via smart phones to company headquarters.

Q. I understand there is a big flap about the Nevada State Senate wanting to rename McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas after Harry Reid?  (Leonardo ~ Bishop, CA)
A. Reid is pushing for the name change, calling out former Senator Pat McCarran for being anti-Semitic and racist.   You know how those elite Democrats are: anytime they want something done that no one else wants, they have to use that “racist” word.

5,000 NEW BORDER PATROL AGENTS

President Trump wants 5,000 more Border Patrol agents as soon as possible.  The agency says they will not lower their standards in order to accomplish the hiring process.

COMMENTS:
They should take their time to get the right people, do the right training and get the logistics straightened out… 5,000 new uniforms, vehicles and related equipment.  Maybe they can locate and use some of those billions of rounds of ammunition that the Obama administration glommed onto.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I guess Trump looks pretty stupid about his Obama wiretapping claims now that the Senate Intelligence Committee says it didn’t happen.  (Lars ~ Henderson, NV)
A. It ain’t over until the fat Democrat sings.  The White House says the Committee is not in possession of all of the pertinent facts.

Q. I understand the Chinese have used a newly discovered technique to alter genes so that new babies can be born with fewer genetic defects?  (Barbara ~ Camarillo, CA)
A. So far, they’ve been able to clean out about 10% of genetic problems in embryos.  It’s only a matter of time before we can all be perfect human beings, just like Chuck Schumer.

Q. Any opinion on the Hawaiian Judge who issued a ban on Trump’s new immigration orders?  (Manny ~ Sand Point, ID)
A. As you travel up the Pacific Ocean, observe that Hawaii is further to the left than San Francisco.  And guess what: in the appeals process, it’ll end up in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in… San Francisco.

IT’S BACK: THAT RUSSIAN SPY SHIP

The Viktor Leonov, the Russian spy ship that’s been meandering in and out of the East Coast, has been spotted monitoring activity just 20 miles south of the U.S. nuclear submarine base at King’s Bay, Georgia.  The ship is armed with surface-to-air missiles and Russia's most current intelligence gathering technology.

COMMENTS:

The next thing we know, CNN is going to be claiming President secretly owns the ship.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. How do you feel about the news regarding Trump’s 2005 tax return?  (Maria ~ Olympia, WA)
A. What I can’t figure out is how Rachel Maddow’s participation in a felony gets more coverage in the news than Kim Jong-un’s threats to attack U.S. forces in South Korea.  What is wrong with this picture?

Q. Do you have any confidence in James Comey?  (Giles ~ Empire, NV)
A. Unfortunately, I don’t have any confidence in anybody in the F.B.I. right now.  To me, they have a long way to go in cleaning up their act before they should be in charge of cleaning up anyone else’s act.

Q. Just a day or two ago, the Ryan Republicans were ecstatic that their new health care plan was going to save taxpayers $337 billion over ten years.  Now, they’re throwing in a whole slew of other taxes that are going to be reduced under their new plan, totaling $883 billion.  I feel like I’m stuck on a used car lot with an aggressive salesman.  What do you think?  (Tom ~ Temecula, CA)
A. I’ll have you know this health care plan was owned by a little old lady from Pasadena who never had to go to the doctor.  Yes, I'm sure we’re being hustled.

GRAND JURY INVESTIATING FOX NEWS

The Southern District of New York is investigating payments made by FOX NEWS to various women who alleged sexual harassment and/or discrimination in the Fox workplace to determine if laws were broken or crimes committed.  They supposedly are “looking at a number of potential crimes, including whether Fox News executives broke laws by allegedly obtaining journalists’ phone records or committed mail and wire fraud by hiding financial settlements paid to women who accused Roger Ailes of sexual harassment.”

COMMENTS:
You’ve gotta watch out for those hens in the Foxhouse.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. The Democrats are running around like Chicken Little claiming that the new health care plan will force some 24 million citizens off of insurance.  Is that true?  (Levi ~ Smyrna, GA)
A. First of all, I think this new plan is a shamefully disguised ObamaCare with a new dress; I’m totally against it.  But, I need to say that there is nothing in the plan that would force people to go uninsured.  ObamaCare required people to have insurance; there was no choice.  The new plan gives people a choice, and the CBO is guessing that 24 million will opt out of their own free will and accord.  So, the Democrats are liars, liars, liars with pants on fire.

Q. Radio talk host Laura Ingram says that the RyanCare plan is a deliberate trap for Trump and that the plan will make Medicaid implode just as the 2020 elections get under way.  Do you agree?  (Sylvester ~ Indio, CA)
A. I don’t know that this will happen; I think anyone making such a prediction at this point should wait until the analysts are through picking away at it.  But I do know this: we elected Trump and Congressional Republicans because we want ObamaCare totally repealed and replaced.   As it exists, the new plan falls millions of miles short of that target; in other words, I think it’s a sham, man.

Q. Monday passed without the Trump Administration coming forth with any proof that Obama hacked into Trump.  What now?  (Jenny ~ Truckee, CA)
A. Well, there’s a new wrinkle.  FOX NEWS Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano is claiming reliable information from three sources that Obama asked British Intelligence to do the dirty work.  According to BREITBART.COM, “[T]hree intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command. He didn’t use the NSA. He didn’t use the CIA. He didn’t use the FBI, and he didn’t use Department of Justice. He used GCHQ. What the heck is GCHQ? That’s the initials for the British spying agency. They have 24/7 access to the NSA database. So by simply having two people go to them saying, ‘President Obama needs transcripts of conversations involving candidate Trump, conversations involving president-elect Trump,’ he’s able to get it, and there’s no American fingerprints on this.”  The plot thickens.
