PRAIRIE DOGS INVADE CEMETERY

The Rita Blanca Grassland runs adjacent to a local cemetery near Felt, Oklahoma. In recent months, prairie dogs have invaded from the grassland into the cemetery, creating sink holes and damaging property.  Human bones from grave sites dating back to the 1920’s are visible on the surface, and burrows into the earth are evident where relatives of the deceased thought their loved ones would rest peacefully, according to FOX NEWS.

Local cemetery officials claim that the U.S. Forest Service has neglected the job of controlling the destructive prairie dogs, and protections over another species are preventing action being taken. “It all comes down to [The Forest Service] wanting to introduce an animal called the black footed ferret. The ferret has never lived here and we’ve never seen any in all of our years maintaining the premises,” said Daryl McDaniel, Chairman of the Board of Bertrand Cemetery.  “Introducing and protecting an animal that has never lived here is giving us a lot of headaches. We can’t spread poison to kill the prairie dogs, and that’s our most effective way of doing so.”

COMMENTS:
Evidently, the people in Felt have a bone to pick with the Forest Service.  The feds just can’t resist screwing things up, can they?  And now, they’re taking over regulation of the Internet due to “Net Neutrality.”

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Did I hear that CNN is in trouble?  (Lilly ~ Redding, CA)
A. Yes, you did.  To start off with, while Americans are thirsty for regularly updated news programming that sticks to the news, its HEADLINE NEWS NETWORK has been having to cut programming costs and running reruns of Forensic Files in order to stay afloat.  Now, CNN has plummeted from second place ratings behind FOX NEWS, to third place behind MSNBC, (the worst of the worst).   Viewers are not happy with CNN’s attacks on cops or their consistent liberal slant on the news.  We want the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Q. Do you think race relations have gotten better or worse under Obama?  (Ruth ~ Medford, OR)
A. Obama, Holder and Sharpton have combined to use their bully pulpits to lash out confrontationally against whites and to stoke violence.  Martin Luther King would have used the presidency to try and create constructive and proactive dialogue.  Obama has proven beyond all doubt that it is he who is the real racist in this country, and I don’t mean a car racist either.

Q. What’s going on in Yemen since the Iranian fleet left the scene?  (Jennifer ~ Galveston, TX)
A. Yemen just sent a letter to the U.N. pleading for ground forces to help them.  It all adds up to yet another failure of Mideast Policy on the part of the illustrious Obama administration.

F.B.I. SCREWS UP

The FBI had reportedly spent nearly a decade investigating one of the men who attempted to attack an event featuring cartoons of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, it was revealed as investigators attempted to determine whether the attack was actually directed by any overseas terror groups.

COMMENTS:
The F.B.I. blew it; they should have known that the Texas attack was coming.  Remember, this is the same F.B.I. that was all over Jimmy Hoffa like glue when he disappeared into thin air, right in front of them.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Now that we have more entries into the GOP presidential nomination race, how do you feel the election is shaping up?  (Ronnie ~ Sepulveda, CA)
A. I sure do like the GOP field, particularly Huckabee, Carson, Rubio and Cruz; it’s way too bad that the Republican hierarchy is dead set on Bush and Christi.  That almost guarantees a Clinton win, no matter how bad she is, because one helluva lot of Republicans will be staying at home and being very angry about the process on Election Day.  That includes me; I’d rather be watching reruns of the “ABBOTT AND COSTELLO SHOW” than to be at the polls voting for Bush or Christi.

Q. Do you believe Hillary Clinton will really tell the “whole truth and nothing but the truth” in her testimony before Congress?  (Sebastian ~ Jackson, WY)
A. That depends on what her definition of “is” is.

Q. California Governor Jerry Brown is considering mandating that homeowners and businesses switch from lawns to artificial grass.  Is he out of his gourd?  (Paula ~ Palm Springs, CA)
A. Why do you think he got the nickname “Moonbeam?”  I don’t think there’s enough artificial water around to keep an artificial lawn green.

HILLARY TO SING

Hillary Clinton has agreed to testify to a House Committee on Benghazi and her private email server.

COMMENTS:
I wonder if they’ll treat her with kid gloves like they did the last time she testified.  Is this going to be another dog and pony show?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Madison, Wisconsin has passed an ordinance making it illegal to discriminate against atheists.  What’s your take on that?  (Armando ~ Corpus Christi, TX)
A. I suppose that means that a Christian church or Jewish Temple cannot refuse to allow an atheist through their doors?  Why didn’t they also pass an ordinance making it illegal to discriminate against Christians or Jews?  They’re a bunch of bigots.

Q. I think the organizers of the event to draw cartoons depicting Mohammed were asking for it.  What do you think?  (Lyle ~ Fernley, NV)
A. I agree and disagree.  Granted, it was in poor taste; on the other hand, the minute you start making an issue out of such things, you are impinging on the right of free speech.  Pretty soon, we’ll have a nation of people afraid to speak out about anything for fear of being ridiculed or jailed.  That’s not my idea of freedom.  On the other hand again, there are times when I’d like very much to shut Obama up.

Q. Glen Beck predicts that at least half of American church-goes will quit attending if gay marriage is legalized throughout the country.  What say you?  (Samantha ~ Susanville, CA)
A. Churches have already seen a large decline in membership and attendance over the recent years and decades.  But, I don’t think the issue of gay marriage has anything to do with it.  Our religious institutions are failing us due to their silence on the moral issues of the day.  It seems to me that they are in a huge hurry to pass the collection plate, but not willing to stand up for what their religious beliefs are.  Hypocrites are alive and well and at the altar.

IRAN PERILOUSLY CLOSE TO ITS FIRST NUKE

The British government is warning the United Nations that the regime in Tehran, which is ostensibly putting the finishing touches on a nuclear deal with the West, and which insists its nuclear program is entirely peaceful, is engaged in active, surreptitious nuclear procurement.  Iran, which is has been under sanctions for years, has a long history of illicit nuclear procurement using front companies and other methods of skirting sanctions.  Here it is, straight from the Vice President’s mouth: Iran would have enough enriched uranium within three months to be able to make up to eight nuclear weapons if negotiations with the international community blow up, Vice President Joe Biden said.  “The path has already been paved” for that outcome.  … Let’s get something straight so we don’t kid each other.  They already have paved a path to a bomb’s worth of material. Iran could get there now if they walked away in two to three months without a deal.”  (Thanks to TOWNHALL.COM: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2015/05/01/uk-by-the-way-iran-is-still-actively-engaged-in-illegal-nuclear-procurement-n1992720)

COMMENTS:
And what makes you think, Joe, that a “deal” will change anything?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I’ve read that NORAD is reopening its underground bunkers near Cheyenne, Wyoming so they can build a defense command facility that will not be vulnerable to an electronic-magnetic pulse, possibly generated by an enemy attack.  But, what are they doing to protect the civilian power grid?  (Rae ~ Lafayette, AR)
A. Nothing.  The Obama administration has failed to act on urgent recommendations to protect the country's civilian electronic infrastructure from a similar catastrophe.  This could lead to months, even years, of devastating loss of power, ability to communicate, inability to transport food and other commodities and similar calamities.  The bigger worry is that we are losing our defense posture and ability to thwart such an attack in the first place.  Even in prison, O.J. may be the only one left in the country with any “juice.”

Q. What’s your reaction to the abortion debate?  (Verla ~ Lynnwood, WA)
A. I don’t understand how America can claim that killing an unborn fetus during the commission of a crime is murder, but aborting the same fetus is not.

Q. Do you ever watch the AL JAZEERA Network?  (Raul ~ Fremont, CA)
A. Never.  And they are in deep trouble, as they should be.  They’re not getting the viewership they need, they’ve laid off a tidy portion of their staff, and they have a $15 million sex discrimination lawsuit to contend with, along with their anti-Jewish stances.

CAPITOL POLICE IN DEEP DUNG

Capitol Police officers left their service weapons in bathrooms and other spots across the Capitol complex three times this year.  In one instance, a child visiting the Capitol reportedly found a loaded Glock. Glocks are the weapons used by Capitol Police and have no safeties on them, so the child could have shot himself.

COMMENTS:
This scenario reminds me of a hotel security guard at the Aladdin Hotel in 1976.  He was in the men’s room in a stall and dropped his pants; as his pants hit the floor, his gun went off, sending a round of .45 caliber ammo through the stall wall; the guy sitting in that stall ended up standing in the casino with his pants still down, holding a newspaper and shaking like a leaf.  But, this is no laughing matter.  Guns are dangerous weapons and those of us who have them respect them for the damage they can do.  Those three officers should be suspended without pay until they complete a new gun safety course.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Jeb Bush is agreeing with Obama that illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay in this country.  What’s your reaction?  (Wanda ~ San Bernardino, CA)
A. The flawed argument is that it would be somehow “unfair” or inhumane to send them back.  In other words, our immigration policies go out the window if you can manage to sneak across the border.  If you’re going to cave in to this argument, you have to be willing to lift the immigration procedures for everyone who’s been standing in line for several years trying to get into the country the legal way.  The strength of our country has always been in fairness and in being law-abiding; this maneuver is patently unfair and unlawful.

Q. Tens of thousands of students are “opting out” of Common Core tests and I hear that the Education Secretary is going to force them to take the tests whether they want to or not.  What happened to “opt out” and what can he do?  (Brenda ~ Roseburg, OR)
A. Secretary Arne Duncan is threatening federal intervention; evidently, the Department of Education has its own SWAT team now.  I do hear that they’ve been buying shotguns. Look for him to withhold federal education money for local schools and to refuse to recognize graduation diplomas.  The “opt out” rule does not apply when the Obama feds want their way, even if war supposedly a free country.

Q. That Black Panthers have declared war on America.  What do you think they will do next?  (Darla ~ Van Nuys, CA)
A. Now, that is an ominous threat, isn’t it?  It requires an immediate, proactive response from our illustrious president, but that is not going to happen.  I look for some really bad-time gang activity this summer. This country is in dire straits from a national security standpoint, and Obama is solely to blame.

KERRY IDOLIZES IRAN’S KHAMENEI

Ayatollah Alam al-Hoda claimed during Friday prayer services in Iran that in negotiations over Tehran’s contested nuclear program, Kerry told the country’s foreign minister that he “wished the U.S. had a leader like Iran’s supreme leader,” according to a Persian-language report on the remarks published by the Asriran news site.  The remarks have been attributed to Kerry by several sources, (http://weaselzippers.us/222122-report-kerry-told-iran-he-wishes-u-s-had-a-leader-like-irans-supreme-leader/.

COMMENTS:
Unfortunately, there are a whole bunch of high-ranking people in the U.S. Government right now who should be run out of the country.  He’s just as dangerous to this country as Barack Hussein Obama.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Do you favor sending in ground troops to crush I.S.I.S.?  (Uke ~ Honolulu, HI)
A. Yes and no.  The Middle Eastern armies there now are not fully trained or up to capacity and I believe they cannot succeed in the mission without help from us.  On the other hand, war is so ugly and I am against sending in our troops unless… BIG unless… we are prepared to forget the “political correctness:” and commit to win with everything we’ve got.  If our troops are to be shackled in any way, we deserve to be taken over by I.S.I.S.  And in my opinion, that means you should start attending your nearest Mosque today.

Q. What’s your reaction to Bernie Sanders jumping into the Democrat’s presidential nominee race?  (Imogene ~ Roy, UT)
A. I don’t know enough about him yet to give an opinion.  My initial thoughts are that anybody would be a better candidate than Hillary Clinton.  Oh, wait a moment…. I need to exclude John Kerry, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

Q. Do you think Freddie Gray inflicted his own injuries?  (Kyle ~ Concord, CA)
A. To me, it doesn’t make any difference; he was in police custody.  If he was doing things to injure himself, he needed to be restrained.  If the police didn’t know he was trying to injure himself, they should have had a camera in the back of the van.  I mean, they stopped four times enroute to the police station; shouldn’t they have notice that he was trying to injure himself?  Granted, as of this post all of the facts have not been made public, but on the surface at least, this stinks like a dead skunk.
