Topping the news of the day yesterday, Casey Anthony says that she passed out at a party and was raped; that’s where Caylee came from.

THIS makes the top of the news?  Doesn’t anyone care about what is going on in Iran or North Korea or Venezuela?  Our media makes THIS the lead story for the day?  What in the Sam Hell is going on in this country?

Q. Will the latest round of sanctions against Iran have any impact? (Tyler ~ Hurricane, UT)

A. China and Russia are already ignoring the sanctions and several other nations may join suit, because they depend on Iranian oil.  The U.S. position is also weakening under President Obama, so the short answer is “No.”

Q. Michelle Obama says she is not an “angry black woman.”  She said that in response to stories that she has run roughshod over White House aides.  Who is right?  (Ursula ~ Salinas, CA)

A. Michelle demonstrated her “angry black woman” tendencies During Obama’s first campaign.  She has made it clear that she is prejudiced, pure and simple.   

Q. You just made a big too-doo about Sarah Palin endorsing Newt Gingrich.  Well, she didn’t; it was Todd Palin.  (Betsy ~ Kellogg, ID)

A. I stand in the corner with my dunce cap on, corrected.  My apologies.  That’s my first mistake in five years.  The last mistake is when I said that Obama would never get elected President.

AMERICAN'S WORST FEAR: OBAMA’S REELECTION

A recent poll conducted by US NEWS “WASHINGTON WHISPERS” indicates that Americans fear Obama’s reelection by a margin of 2 to 1.  This was the biggest fear expressed by Americans going into the New Year according to the poll. 

COMMENTS:

I agree.  I fear his reelection more than I fear Iran invading Iraq, North Korea invading South Korea or the United States going bankrupt.  And, I’m not being sarcastic or facetious when I say so.  Obama is America’s worst enemy.

Q. What’s with all of the turmoil in the White House now, with Daley leaving, etc?  (Irene ~ Casper, WY)

A. Some say he was forced out by his peers, but others suggest he was upset with what he was finding out internally about Solyndra and the White House role in that scandal that is being covered up.  Evidently, his perception of legalities and ethics did not agree with theirs, or the lack thereof. 

Q. NBC and GE have been deeply entrenched in the White House inner circle, but now GE’s Jack Welch says Romney would be a great President.  What gives?  (Kyle ~ Anderson, CA)

A. I have been saying that I believe the Obama Camp wants Romney to be the GOP nominee because they feel, for some reason, that he will be the easiest to beat.  This endorsement cinches that conclusion in my mind.  The Obama campaign is deliberately doing everything they can to make certain that Romney wins in much the same manner as Nixon set up Eagleston and McGovern. 

Q. Is the monetary crisis in Greece finally over?  (Ophelia ~ Roseburg, OR)

A. Far from it.  They are back on a collision course with international bankruptcy because recent efforts by France and Germany to salvage their economy have failed.  As predicted here a few weeks ago, that crisis has all of the potential of bringing down the entire world economy, including ours.

GINGRICH MAKES GIANT LEAPS

Although lambasted by his fellow Republicans and moved down in the polls by Romney’s relentless smear campaign, Newt Gingrich has scored a $5 million donation from billionaire Sheldon Adelson and an endorsement by Sarah Palin. 

COMMENTS:

The plain and simple truth of the matter is that Gingrich is the most viable of the candidates.  I endorsed him and stand by that endorsement because I truly believe that Romney cannot debate effectively against Obama and the Obama camp will run all over him.  His endorsement by John McCain underscores my disdain for him, and confirms my belief that he is a closet progressive liberal.  Ron Paul has a problem with race that has not been satisfactorily addressed, and we do not need a racist in the White House.  Yes, Newt has baggage, but he is by far the best candidate of those in the running and can effectively debate Obama.  That’s why the media has done everything they can to trash him.

Q.  I read Iran is moving its secret nuclear work underground to avoid having someone come in and bomb it.  What will the Obama Administration do now?  (Lonny ~ Hercules, CA)

A. Same as they are doing now… nothing.  My big fear with Iran is that they will actually take military action to close the Strait of Hormuz, thinking that the rest of the world will tolerate their belligerent bull.  They could very well read into their tea leaves that no one will dare to challenge them.   

Q. Pakistan is having internal problems and it is possible the Taliban may take over in a coup attempt.  The problem, as I see it, is that they have nukes.  With all of our blunders there, what can we possibly do about it?  (Mo ~ Atlantic City, NJ)

A. We will continue to stumble along in classic Obama diplomacy.  He won the Nobel Peace Prize, remember?  Don’t look for anything beyond a beer in the Rose Garden to talk things over.   

Q. What’s the latest on the Mexican border and illegal immigration?  (Mindy ~ Salt Lake City, UT)

A. You won’t like the answer.  Obama envisions open border crossings with TV surveillance on the honor system.  He plans to issue some form of amnesty to all 12 million illegals in the country.  And he plans to first reduce, and then remove National Guard troops along the border, followed by a reduction in Border Patrol funding.

WHITE HOUSE RATTLES EMPTY SABRE

Leon Panetta has been on the talk show circuit alleging that the U.S. will take military action if Iran tries to shut down the Strait of Hormuz or to complete its nuclear weapons program.  He was backed up by General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. 

COMMENTS:

Yeah, we are going to drastically cut our nuclear weapons, shrink our military, deal with North Korea, police the Middle East, deal with our own Mexican border and take on an Iranian conflict.  Sure we are; that all makes sense to you, doesn’t it?  One thing this Administration does not understand is that when you are dealing with the enemy, you need to deal from a position of strength, not weakness.  All of this latest talk is just hot air.

Q. I still can’t believe that our government is having talks with the Taliban.  What does the government of Afghanistan think about that?  (Clarice ~ Redding, CA)

A. They’re madder than hell.  Now they’ve initiated their own talks with the Taliban and it is entirely possible that the Taliban could end up back in control of that government.  That’s the second dumb move we have made in the Middle East in as many weeks. 

Q. Romney is too glib, as far as I am concerned, and a closet progressive liberal at that.  Why is it that the Republican hierarchy insists on maneuvering him into the Presidential nomination?  (Ivan ~ Bishop, CA)

A. It goes back to how the House Republicans have been dealing with the Democrats.  They stand strong on principle until the very last minute and then cave in; this has been the scenario for the last few years, time after time.  So, I’ve said the Republican Party might as well join the Democratic Party and quit the charade.  Now, the Democrats want Romney to be the candidate because they know they can beat him, and the Republican hierarchy is trying to help them make that happen.  You and I need to either take back control of the Party or go and form another one.   

Q. The drastic military cuts wanted by Obama will severely put us at risk.  Is he out of his tree?  (Steve ~ Paso Robles, CA)

A. Yes.  But, everything he has done since he became President has been calculated to weaken this country.  He has us all fighting each other, he has destroyed Congress, he’s made a shambles of the Constitution and he has pushed us to the virtual edge of financial ruin.  Anarchy may be closer than we think.

OBAMA’S GREAT DECEPTION ON $1.2 TRILLION DEBT CEILING INCREASE

Picking up where we last left off, at the request of Congressional leaders, President Obama last Friday agreed to delay his request for a $1.2 trillion increase in the national debt for 15 days to Congress can debate it.  The August debt bill debacle gives Obama the right to ask for it and stipulates that Congress can decline the request by passing a Congressional Bill that… Obama can veto.  In other words, our grand children's lives are screwed again. 

COMMENTS:

Look at the bright side: Obama Administration officials say the $1.2 trillion should last until the end of next year.  In the meanwhile, the deficit increased by $4.2 trillion last year.  Get the ugly picture?

A. That’s what her daughter, Alexandra claims.  She says her mom wants to retire, but that she feels an obligation to her many loyal supporters.  I say, “Hogwash.”  Nancy likes the power and she likes flaunting it.  She will never retire willingly. 

Q. Do you think Iran already has a nuclear bomb?  (Milo ~ Shingletown, CA)

A. No.  If they had one, Israel would already have been nuked.   

Q. The news last week was that the U.S. might release a top Taliban prisoner from Guantanamo in exchange for peace talks with the Taliban.  I thought it was a well-known truth that dealing with prisoner releases as a way of getting the other side to cave in never works.  (Cassie ~ Provo, UT)

A. And you, my dear, should work for the State Department.  As a matter of fact, you have proven by that remark that you would make a far better President than Barack Obama.
