DON’T HIRE THE LONG TERM UNEMPLOYED?

I reported here once before that those who have been out of work for a lengthy period of time face hiring bias.  Selena Forte of Cleveland had been out of work for two years, but finally found a job she was suited for.  A recruiter for an employment agency told her she would not be considered for the job because she had been out of work too long.

COMMENTS:
As for the employment agency, it should go out of business.  As for the employer, I would sincerely like to know upon what basis they would determine that someone who has been out of work for two years is less qualified than someone who has been out of work for one day.  I would like to hear your argument and will publish it if you have the guts to argue this position.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I know you have said it and Darrell Issa from California is now claiming that the energy loans like Solyndra’s were motivated by campaign contributions.  Can he prove it, and if he does, what then? (Marlena ~ Cupertino, CA)
A. He can prove it if he gets honest answers in his investigation.  If he proves it, the liberal press will not report it.  Without a public outrage, Obama and company will probably get away with it.

Q. California is nearly bankrupt, but I understand that Governor Jerry Brfown has just sign legislation that will allow illegal immigrants to get private scholarships and government education loans.  How can that happen?  (Terrie ~ Yuma, AZ)
A. Just because you’re about to file for bankruptcy doesn’t mean that your shouldn’t give an illegal alien more breaks, especially if you’re a liberal Democrat.  I mean, let’s drag everybody down, right?

Q. California Governor Jerry Brown just signed legislation banning tanning beds for under 18 year-old people.   This was based on evidence that tanning salons can cause cancer.  In Texas, they made a similar law for age 16.  I don’t get it.  If it is true that they cause cancer, what does age have to do with it?  (Paula ~ Fresno, CA)
A. Duhhhhh, don’t ask me.  I’m not a politician.

THE UNEMPLOYMENT LIE

Donald Trump and author Robert Kiyosaki tell NEWSMAX.TV that the nation’s real unemployment rate is actually at depression era levels nearing 21% instead of what is being reported by the monthly government reports.

COMMENTS:
The method of reporting unemployment is based on the number of people receiving unemployment benefits.  If you are unemployed, but have fallen off the rolls, you are not counted.  If you were in business for yourself and lost your business, you are not counted.  The Administration won’t even discuss this possible figure.  I agree that 9.1% is the great lie of modern days.  It was 25% during the height of the Depression.  The human misery and suffering of this great nation is being obliterated by political convenience.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How does the economy of the U.S. really stack up against the rest of the world?  (Lenny ~ Mesa, AZ)
A. While I do not think we are as bad off at the present, generally speaking, we are in a precarious position.  We can fall into deep trouble at just about any second.  Now comes news from the Bank of England’s governor, Sir Mervyn King, that the world is possibly facing its worst financial crisis in all of history.  “This is the most serious financial crisis we’ve seen, at least since the 1930s, if not ever.”  He goes on to say that the world is changing and that strategies which worked in the past are no longer working.  Okay, Obama, I guess that means you can go for Stimulus III?

Q. Is the housing sector showing any signs of recovery yet?  (Kyle ~ Anderson, CA)
A. No.  In fact, figures just released by the Census Bureau show that housing ownership had dropped to its lowest level since the great depression.  Some are predicting that traditional home ownership in the United States will vanish, that the government will own all of the houses and you will pay rent.  If you’re delinquent, the IRS will come and seize your family jewels.

Q. Rush Limbaugh is claiming that Obama is behind the Wall Street riots.  What does he base that on?  (Saundra ~ Alturas, CA)
A. Those involved, the union thugs and left-wingers, are Obama’s political base.  In essence, they are his foot soldiers and they are employing violence in an attempt to get their way.  We have a very ugly and nasty political season about to unfold, and anybody who doesn’t have guns in his house and a concealed weapons permit is at risk.  A perfectly innocent person can be walking down the sidewalk and one of these things occurs and they could end up getting seriously injured, or worse.  These thugs do not care any more about the propriety of being an American than the Jihadists do.

REINSTATING THE GRAFT

An Energy Department official whose wife represented Solyndra actively pushed for the $535 million federal loan that now has the White House in hot water.  Steve Spinner was also a former fundraiser for Obama.  There were unconfirmed reports yesterday that Spinner has resigned, but the news is also coming out that Obama’ Administration was about to give the now bankrupt firm another $5.4 million as late as August of this year when the OMB intervened.

COMMENTS:
There also is an unconfirmed report that top Solyndra officials recently gave the Obama reelection campaign a ton of money. Is it graft or corruption, or both?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. It comes out that military drones are infected with a virus that tracks every key that is pressed by ground controllers.  What does that prove?  (Myrna ~ Redding, CA)
A. Once the enemy determines how the drones are operated, what is to prevent them from getting on the control frequency and redirecting the drones into the Golden Gate Bridge?

Q. George Soros was convicted in a French court for insider trading and he appealed the case.  He just lost.  Will he go to jail?  (John ~ San Francisco, CA)
A. I think he’ll move in with the Obamas.

Q. Some polls have Herman Cain leading Mitt Romney.  What do you think?  (Shauna ~ Dallas, TX)
A. In recent days, I’ve observed something like a lightning strike going through conservative America.  Herman Cain was languishing in the polls when he won the Florida straw poll.  Suddenly, everyone is clamoring for information about who the guy is and they are coming away enthralled.  Frankly, I like the guy, too.  What I like most about him is that he is not a career politician, like everyone else in the race is.

UNIONS TAKE CHARGE OF WALL STREET PROTESTS

The SEIU, AFL-CIO and other unions have integrated into the Wall Street protests and are now taking charge.  Wednesday night, violence erupted on the streets and police were forced to make arrests and to come out in force.

COMMENTS:
These are the organizations that tried to intimidate the American Tea Party, who caused havoc at a rally in Searchlight, Nevada, that raised hell during the Wisconsin budget crisis and who are asking for a regulation that says that members can no longer vote by secret ballots.  This is the epitome of mobster activity which Obama champions.  The 2012 elections are going to be real ugly and may be dangerous, presuming that Obama is able to finish his term.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Obama’s press conference left me wondering if he knows where he is wandering.  To me, it was somewhat incoherent.  What’s your opinion?  (Vicki ~ Gardnerville, NV)
A. If you go back and listen to what he has said publicly for the last ten years, you will recognize that he has always been incoherent.   From a practical standpoint, he is passé’, finished, irrelevant.  I think he now knows that.

Q. I see that the Democrats are going after Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for ethics violations.  Where could this lead?  (Gary ~ Anderson, CA)
A. They cannot censure him because he doesn’t belong to Congress.  The only thing they can do is to impeach him and the Republicans are quietly lining up to impeach Barack Obama.  Quid pro quo, I guess.  This is all a thinly disguised attempt to take the heat off of Obama.

Q. Do I hear that prostate cancer screening is bad for your health?  (Barry ~ Portland, OR)
A. The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force says that the current PSA blood test does not work and should be scrapped until a better test is devised.  From what I understand, a large number of males have benefited through early detection of the cells that indicate cancer.  Maybe they figure if more of us die of cancer there won’t be as many of us to raise hell over their phony baloney.

OBAMA DOES NOT REGRET FUNDING SOLYNDRA

President Obama has come out on the Solyndra scandal and claims he does not regret funding the now bankrupt solar panel firm with $535 million of taxpayer money. "Now there's going to be some failures," he said. "Hindsight is always 20-20.”

COMMENTS:
Hell, with all of the mistakes he has made, why not make another?  It’s no big deal, right?  You can’t help but wonder if his nonchalant attitude has anything to do with their political contributions in the 2008 and 2012 election years.  “Some failures?”  We had our own failure on November 4, 2008.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. So, Sarah Palin is not going to run.  What do you think will happen to the field of candidates now?  (Charles ~ Las Vegas, NV)
A. After they have a few rounds of drinks, they will continue as they have been.  The ones at the bottom of the heap should start dropping out soon.

Q. With evidence now confirming that Eric Holder knew about the Mexican drug cartel / American gun sales scandal far earlier than he indicated to Congress, what will be the outcome?  Will he be fired?  (Tenicia ~ Palo Alto, CA)
A. With two bad scandals shaking the Obama Administration to its foundation, Solyndra and Fast and Furious, blood simply has to be spilled.  Holder will be the likely sacrifice in order to save Obama from the Solyndra fire.  But, I still say Obama should be impeached for Solyndra and other past actions.  Plus, and who knows, he may also have known about Fast and Furious because he had pledged to his far-left liberal base that he would get rid of private gun ownership in the country, and Fast and Furious was originally designed to set up the scenario for doing so.

Q. Given all of the political news of the last few days, who do you think will and up as Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates on the Republican ticket? (Jerry ~ La Habra, CA)
A. Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich.
