F.A.A. OUT OF MONEY!!!

Our illustrious Congress left town after sticking it to Americans again on Wednesday, and they left an expired tax on air travel unresolved in the process.  As a result, the F.A.A. is out of money and sending employees home without pay.  Congress is not due to return until September.  In addition, F.A.A. construction projects across the country have been halted and the F.A.A. is claiming that the partial shutdown is costing taxpayers more and more money daily. 

COMMENTS:

Who cares?  Hell, if we run out of money, we’ll just raise the debt limit and print some more. Besides, with the F.A.A. shutdown, the airways are probably safer anyway.

A. Where?  Did we cut spending? Did we reduce the deficit?  Did we fix the system? No.  Did we raise the debt ceiling? Yes.  Further, even if there IS some redeeming value of this lousy legislation, even if we can claim that we have finally taken a step in the right direction… When your son or daughter is laying in the hospital in intensive care, do want the doctor to work on a symptom today and another next week, or do you want the whole problem fixed now?  This President and his cronies on The Hill, Republican and Democrat alike, all need to be run out of the country.  

Q. Cyber attacks are increasing in the United States.  How can they be stopped?  (Federico ~ Colfax, CA)

A. Disconnect the Internet.  What they do need to do is to establish a second and secret Internet for especially sensitive firms and agencies such as governments, banks, stock firms, etc.  Or, they could just shut down electricity altogether, which would help the EPA reduce emissions.   

Q. I heard that the Senate is so ticked off at Americans clamoring for a responsible solution to the debt and deficit that they have decided to pay them back by adding a Federal sales tax on all Internet sales.  Is that true?  (Janice ~ Hayfork, CA)

A. Yes.  So much for their pledge of “no new taxes,” and the ink isn’t even dry yet on Obama’s signature to this disastrous debt-deficit bill just passed.

OBAMA, BIDEN, REID DESPISE TEA PARTIES

President Barack Hussein Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have made it clear that they hate the Tea Parties and the ground their members walk on.  In the last few days, all three have consistently mentioned the Tea Parties in disparaging and condescending terms.  Biden compared them to “terrorists.” 

COMMENTS:

There is a large number of Americans who don’t participate in Tea Party activities who support their objectives.  None of the three likes the fact that they can’t be so cavalier about their duties with the Tea Parties looking over their shoulders.  These guys have probably ordered the IRS to audit all Tea Party members.  I look for another rout in November of 2012, much bigger than the last one.

A. They see it the same way I do.  Nothing got settled, but the debt limit got raised.  The future remains uncertain and perilous.  They may all be smiling, but all parties to this debacle know what an injustice they have perpetrated on the country.  This is akin to getting caught with your fingers in a bucket of dung and then trying to pretend it’s chocolate.

A. Nothing. Oh, there may be a lot of huff, puff and fluff but, it will all amount to nothing.  If they were at all serious about facing these problems, they would have resolved them rather than passing sham legislation.

A. I have hopes that the grassroots people will not let that happen.  If it were up to the Republicans in Congress, I wouldn’t be surprised if they put McCain up again, after what I’ve seen of them these last few days.

BIDEN CALLS TEA PARTY MEMBERS “TERRORISTS”

Vice President Joe Biden called the Tea Party members “terrorists” during a private meeting he had with House Democrats. 

COMMENTS:

The son-of-a-bitch should be run out of office.  The Tea Party members are the only true American patriots in the country.  Not only was the remark in bad taste, it underscored the mind set of left-wing liberals and how they view the world.

A. The Senate will pass it without question.  I would like to say, as Mary Landrum said yesterday, that it is better than nothing; however, Mary Landrum also said that Obama Care was the cat’s meow.  As they say, the devil is in the details and the details so far do not impress me.  I think, as of this moment, that there will not be one Democrat left in office after the 2012 elections, except the Senators who are not up for re-election.     

Q. I see that Joe Biden charges the U.S. Government rent on a cottage on his property used by the Secret Service.  Who in hell does he think he is?  (Phil ~ Sacramento, CA)

A. I agree with the practice.  If he did not provide them quarters, the government would have to build and maintain suitable quarters and pay utilities.  I agree with Joe on this one.   

Q. Even though the country is behind Arizona in its immigration battles, I see the Department of Justice is now suing Alabama over similar laws.  Why are we having this big legal battle between the Federal Government and the states?  I thought that the Constitution guaranteed state rights.  (Leo ~ Palo Cedro, CA)

A. What does the Constitution have to do with it?  Obama doesn’t follow it.  Congress doesn’t follow it.  Therefore, I submit to you that the Constitution does not exist.

ANOTHER "SELLOUT" PHONY DEAL

Last night, Obama proudly stood before the nation and announced that a debt-deficit deal has been reached.  The gist of the "deal" is a $1 trillion deficit reduction over 10 years, a "balanced budget," a debt limit increase, and the formation of a bi-partisan committee to deal with further deficit reductions by November, with certain "triggers" involved. 
 

COMMENTS:

Shades of the ObamaCare Bill; we'll have to read it before we know what's in it.  Well, $1 trillion over ten years?  Starting when?  A "balanced budget," that is not a balanced budget amendment by any stretch of the imagination.  A bi-partisan committee?  Obama ignored the results of the last bi-partisan committee that was formed.  Kick the can down the road another four months with no guarantee that Obama will sign any legislation that comes forth in November, deal or not?  I've had enough of this double-dealing, smoke and mirrors crap.  Why didn't they raise the debt limit by $50 billion or so and keep on working on this now?  If this passes both Houses this morning, it will be a total blitzkrieg in November of 2012.

A. Because they think we’ll go into hysteria and call Congress to let them have their way.  I’d give my eye teeth to see them do it; that would be the end of the Imperial Presidency in less than 24 hours. 

Q. I just read a really sad story about the thousands and thousands of dogs and cats that are abandoned by people when they move out.  How can they be so cruel?  (Maria ~ Sacramento, CA)

A. When the shelters are full, you’ve been evicted and the apartment house where you are headed to won’t allow pets and your relatives won’t take them, what do you do?   That’s another untold tragedy of our economy. 

Q. Do you think the economy and jobs situation will get better after they resolve this budget issue?  (Morgan ~ Reno, NV)

A. No.  They have not addressed the underlying issues.  People and business still don’t know what to expect in future taxes, health care costs and government regulation.  It’s already been proven that you can’t stimulate the economy by spending a ton of money or throwing money at the problem.  You certainly can’t stimulate anything by cutting spending.  The only proven method to stimulate an economy is to reduce taxes, and that is not in the ball game.
