PROFESSOR RESIGNS OVER CAMPUS CONCEALED-CARRY DECISION

Kansas became a constitutional carry state in 2015, which means citizens can carry guns openly or concealed without a government-issued permit. A 2013 law allowing state universities and colleges to prohibit concealed handguns on campus will expire on June 30. The University of Kansas has updated its weapons policy in accordance with the law in order to allow for the carrying of concealed handguns beginning July 1.  But Professor Jacob Dorman has resigned, saying the school can be either a great university or a concealed carry university, but not both.

COMMENTS:
Just the other day, a crazed gunman charged into a Texas restaurant, killed the bartender and started to shoot at patrons when a concealed carry holder pulled his own gun and shot the guy.  Had the permit-holder not been there, had he not been carrying concealed, the deaths of countless patrons would be on the hands of thinkers like Jacob Dorman, but he doesn’t seem to mind.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. You said once that you couldn’t understand how any decent, hardworking FBI agent could have the guts to stay on the job with Comey in charge.  How long do you think it will take for them to regain their reputation as being the most prestigious law enforcement agency in the world?  (Rory ~ Newport News, VA)
A. They’re going to be stuck with this stigma and American suspicion for many years, if not decades, to come.  They need a clean-cut, holier-than-thou, even-handed, apolitical, proven law enforcement leader to take the job.  And, it will be historical; never before has a person with those credentials dared to venture across the Potomac.

Q. Why would Clinton’s former team be upset that Comey was fired?  (Trudi ~ Bellingham, WA)
A. Because they felt that as long as Comey was at the FBI, they didn’t need to worry about any investigation into them or Clinton.

Q. What is this world coming to?  Now, protestors are throwing human feces at Venezuelan cops?  (Merry ~ Palo Cedro, CA)
A. Kind of reminds you of Democrats in Congress, doesn’t it?
