THE LUDICROUS “ASSAULT” CHARGE

Trump is claiming Fields touched him before Lewandowski supposedly touched her.  The Secret Service says “She crossed in between agents and our protectee after being told not to.”  The prosecutor who filed the charges against Lewandowski is a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton.

COMMENTS:

If you look at the tapes, nowhere do you see any movement by anybody that even remotely resembles what we could classify as an “assault.”  There were no swinging fists, nobody falling to the floor as Fields initially claimed… not even a startled look.  My personal hunch is that the RNC or Cruz put her up to it, trying to scare people away from Trump rallies and to make his organization look “brutal.’  This is so obviously a “put on,” why are we putting up with it?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. Where did the video originate that purportedly shows Corey Lewandowski assaulting Michelle Fields?  (Imogene ~ La Canada, CA)
A. According to Trump, he provided that video.

Q. Do you think Bernie Sanders stands a chance?  (Orville ~ Ogden, UT)
A. There are 498 super-delegates, of which 469 are allegedly committed to Clinton.  If they were to switch to Sanders, he would be solidly in the lead.

Q. Now that it’s all over with, do you think anything positive happened as a result of Obama’s visit to Cuba?  (Charlton ~ Loma Rica, CA)
A. The Castro brothers have been dumping on Obama ever since he left town.  Obviously, at least one other country agrees that Obama is for the birds.

BORDER FENCE BREACHED

There has been a major breach in the fence along the Mexican border and Border Patrol agents are very concerned that the breach could have been caused by and allowed radical Islamists to gain entry into the country.  Arizona Public Media reported that the president of the National Border Patrol Council testified in a congressional hearing last week that cameras caught the images of two trucks crossing the area. Border patrol officials were not at the spot to catch them at the time of the illegal crossing and have no idea what was in the trucks.

COMMENTS:

Score another victory for Obama and his open border policy.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. What’s your opinion of Wisconsin’s Scott Walker endorsing Ted Cruz?  (Mandie ~ Goleta, CA)
A. Yawn.  At this point, what difference does it make?

Q. What is your read on the charges filed against Corey Lewandowski, [Trump’s campaign manager], for simple battery on Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields? (Gus ~ Chico, CA)
A. Just because you have been charged doesn’t mean you are guilty.  I haven’t seen the actual camera angle or what occurred immediately before or after the alleged assault.  I do know that several people have tried in the past to get on the stage with Trump and to punch him out.  I suspect, but do not know, that Lewandowski was trying to prevent what he perceived as a similar attack on Trump by Fields… in other words, that his contact with her was reactive rather than proactive.  Nevertheless, one has to presume that if there was any real validity to the charge, Trump or Lewandowski would have attempted to resolve the matter before it evolved into charges, so I’m inclined to think the charge is phony and being pushed by the Cruz campaign.

Q. I always thought Tukey was a U.S. ally, but I understand we have ordered the evacuation of all non-essential military personnel and their families?  (Brando ~ Nogales, AZ)
A. There is a deteriorating military security situation there.  The move underscores the U.S. belief that Turkey, for many reasons, is not able to protect Americans in that country.  On the other hand, according to Obama we have no reason to be concerned about Islamic terrorism.

STATES HAVE HAD ENOUGH

Republican-dominated state legislatures are fighting Obama’s expansive use of executive orders and regulatory rule-making.  At least 16 states are suing the federal government regarding federal overreach for a variety of complaints, including the resettlement of Syrian refugees, EPA regulations and amnesty for illegals.

COMMENTS:
The Executive Branch of this government needs to be reined in and put on a diet of bread and water.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Why is this Clinton thing dragging on and on?  She’s guilty and we all know it and she needs to be knocked out of the Democrat race so that party can get on with the business of selecting a legitimate candidate.  (Cynthia ~ Scottsdale, AZ)
A. You naively presume that everything in Washington is on the up and up and that good will always prevail.  The F.B.I. knows that Clinton and Obama will do everything to escape accountability for her behavior, so they have no choice but to nail down every potential piece of evidence or testimony before they proceed… or the whole thing will be labeled as political and she will never be brought to justice.  Every trick of the trade will be employed by both Obama and Clinton to protect her, including running out of the clock.  Both of them are, to be blunt, the political scum of the earth.

Q. If the National Enquirer story about the Cruz sex escapades is a phony smear, why isn’t Cruz suing the magazine?   (Leonardo ~ Santa Clara, CA)
A. Maybe you should ask Heidi Cruz?

Q. Do you think GOP convention goers should be allowed to carry concealed weapons?  (Pearl ~ Portland, OR)
A. I’m a strong advocate for concealed carry, but I would come down strongly against allowing carry in the presence of the president or someone who might become president.  Why invite the possibility of trouble?  On the same wavelength, that’s why I object to allowing Syrian refugees into the United States.

TERRORIST ATTACKS AGAINST CHRISTIANS CONTINUE

An explosion ripped through a crowded Pakistan park where Christians were celebrating Easter yesterday, killing at least 65 people and injuring about 300.  A Taliban faction, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, claimed responsibility for the attack and said Christians were the target of the blast. The mostly-Muslim country has a small Christian community, accounting for less than two percent of Pakistan's total population.

COMMENTS:
I cannot fathom the voices which continue to say we must get used to it… accept it and get used to it.  I’ll be damned if I’ll shut up, lie down and die for anybody.  “It’s the new norm?”  Those words are poisonous in and of themselves.  We must arm ourselves and prepare to fight to the death to protect our freedoms and ensure peace for our children.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Is it true that a cop was killed because police department rules prevented him from shooting back?  (Belden ~ Logan, UT)
A. Yes and no.  According to the Greenville, South Carolina Police Department, an officer is prohibited from using lethal force against those “believed to be unarmed or are not presenting an imminent threat to human life or serious bodily harm unless immediately apprehended — whether or not they are fleeing from police.  Policeman Alan Jacobs was shot and killed while chasing a known gang member and suspect on foot; he never drew his own weapon.
Q. Are you still picking Donald Trump as your choice for president?  (Royal ~ Compton, CA)
A. I’m certainly not going to vote for Clinton or Sanders; the country is screwed up enough as it is. Cruz has proven himself to be a dirty and unscrupulous politician and we as a nation are trying to distance ourselves from such trash.  Kasich is an opportunist who thinks he can wiggle his way onto the ticket by continuing his impossible run.  That leaves Trump, who thus far has proven himself to be anything but the run-of-the-mill politician we all despise; he therefore gets my vote.   Anybody willing to give up controlling an empire such as Trump’s in order to seek the presidency has a lot of respect in my book.

Q. I was always taught that “these colors never run” when talking about our flag and military.  Now, I hear our troops are being taught to run and hide and then to fight as a last resort?”  (Rowena ~ Sacramento, CA)
A. When you’re talking about a terror attack and an active shooter situation, the Department of Defense is telling military personnel in the area to run, hide and then fight if necessary.  “If a host nation or U.S. security is responding, be very cooperative with the law enforcement and careful you do not make yourself a suspect." Shuck and duck are the new military words of the day.

NO REAL CHRISTIAN WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP?

“No Christian, no real Christian… I don’t mean a judgmental Christian, I mean somebody who is living their faith… no real Christian says, ‘I want that guy, that guy is for me,’” Glenn Beck said during a recent broadcast of his radio show.  “Nobody, nobody.”

COMMENTS:

I suppose Christians will vote for a rampant prevaricator and manipulator like Hillary, a profound socialist like Bernie, or an unethical and unscrupulous campaigner like Ted instead?  I used to like Glenn Beck, but he… like Megyn Kelly… has ventured I into the psychotic world of believing they are holier than thou.  They’d both be ideal, condescending Obamacrats.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:

Q. Now that Ted Cruz had been exposed in the National Enquirer for having five mistresses, do you think he’s regretting going after Trump’s wife?  (Roxy ~ Jackpot, NV)
A. I’ll bet his wife, Heidi, wishes he’d kept his flappin’ mouth shut.  Between the revelation of her past depression and this news, I’ll bet it’s going to be a very long time before he sees another hot meal on the kitchen table.

Q. Do you believe the Shroud of Turin is the genuine article?  (Christopher ~ Brooklyn, MN)
A. There has been recent evidence uncovered that suggests the shroud does actually date back to the first century.  Given its known history, I believe the shroud was actually used for a person alive during the time of Jesus and that the likelihood of an ordinary, insignificant shroud being kept and protected for this long is minimal.

Q. I hear that there is still more bad news for Hillary about her private email server?  (Gwendolyn ~ Palo Alto, CA)
A. Clinton has steadfastly maintained she did not use the server prior to March of 2009.  They have recently discovered emails on the server in February of that year and continue to attempt recovery of possible earlier emails.  One email is from Cheryl Mills about trying to get the State Department to provide Clinton with an acceptable and secure Blackberry phone.  That email in and of itself should be considered classified inasmuch as it discusses her methods of communication; if it got into the wrong hands, that could give enemies a heads up and enable them to hack into her communications.
