KOSKINEN TO CONGRESS: UP YOURS

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen was scheduled to appear today before a Congressional Committee investigating his misconduct in managing the IRS targeting of conservative groups.  Although Congress is upset enough with him to be considering an impeachment resolution, Koskinen has told them that he has a “scheduling conflict.”

COMMENTS:
How can you have a "scheduling conflict" when Congress is knocking at your door?  And knowing our illustrious Congress as we all do, I have to presume they’ll get around to doing something about that “finger” sometime in December.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s your stand on Obama’s kissing up to Vietnam and allowing them to start buying weapons?  (Park ~ Reno, NV)
A. Why ask me?  Ask a vet who came home suffering with the effects of Agent Orange.  Ask a dad, brother, daughter or son of an American G.I. who lost his life there, fighting a war that our government would not allow them to win.

Q. Do you think we should be involved in the Middle East right now, from a military standpoint?  I hate war.  (Jean ~  Menlo Park, CA)
A. You’re correct; war is ugly.  War is the last resort and must be avoided to every reasonable end.  Nevertheless and therefore, when one finds himself involved in a war, he must fight it without rules, with every tool and weapon at his disposal, relentlessly and without compunction… until the enemy is either totally emaciated and destroyed or until it surrenders unconditionally.  There can be no middle ground in war, because “middle grounds” lead to endless military engagement, expenses and loss of life.  The military has had its hands tied in the Middle East for 14 years now, and we’re still there and no better off for it.  We need to get totally out or unleash every weapon we have on them; the time for decision is now.

Q. Why is Al Gore now picking on Trump?  (Vi ~ Billings, MT)
A. Trump causes global warming.

“I do not believe that the men who served in uniform in Vietnam have been given the credit they deserve.  It was a difficult ware against an unorthodox enemy.” ~ Gen. William Westmoreland
