Iran ordered some equipment used in nuclear reactors from a
Czech firm in January; the Czech government stopped the deal.
COMMENTS:
And we’re having another cargo ship showdown. And, and, and. Thank God the Czechs cancelled Iran's check. Maybe after we negotiate this great "deal,"
Iran will become a “State Farm” good neighbor.
Does anyone want to make book on that?
TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I see the House voted overwhelmingly to stop the NSA’s
bulk collection of telephone data on Americans.
Do you think they’ll actually stop?
(Ronnie ~ Federal Way, WA)
A. Whoa! This move has
to get past the Senate first and Mitch O’Connell is dead set against it. Then it has to get past Obama, and I predict
he’ll veto it; I also predict the Senate will not be able to muster enough
votes to override a veto. But, just to
play the game, unless the NSA rehires Edward Snowden, we’ll never know if they
stop the practice or not.
Q. Wow! You hit the
nail on the head the other day when you were talking about the allegations by
Seymour Hersh that a major chunk of the Bin Laden raid story was a lie. Now, news outlets are coming out with facts
supporting Hersh’s story. Why in the
world would Obama tell such big, big lies hen he had to know he was going to
get caught? (Bridget ~ Lancaster, CA)
A. For one thing, he thought he was going to get a huge
bounce in the polls and that his popularity would surge. For another thing, he didn’t want to break
his countless precedents of not telling the truth; once a prevaricator, always a prevaricstor.
Q. I understand that a huge number of Americans living in
other countries are renouncing their U.S. citizenship. Why?
(Perry ~ Reno, NV)
A. It’s no big secret that Obama has been chasing big
corporations and their executives out of the country since the day he took
office. Bound and determined to collect
his tax dollars anyway, he had the IRS go after them under the Foreign Account
Tax Collection Act, which he rammed through Congress in 2010. Its rules are overly complicated and… the victims are revolting. That dumb move is going to cost us over $200
billion in tax revenue.
