GOVERNMENT’S ULTIMATE INTRUSION INTO PRIVATE AFFAIRS

The Connecticut Supreme Court upheld a prior ruling Thursday that a 17-year-old cancer patient cannot refuse chemotherapy treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma; the Court said she’s not mature enough to make that decision.  Cassandra ran away after two treatments in November and, with the support of her mother, refused any more when she returned. After the hospital reported Cassandra’s mother, the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) took temporary custody of the teen and her mother was ordered to cooperate with medical care administered under the agency’s supervision.

COMMENTS:
I guess what they’re saying is that the young lady doesn’t have a brain and the mother has no choice in the matter.  The fact is that one’s medical care is a personal choice and the damned government has no right sticking its nose into it.  This is not a totalitarian state yet and Americans should be up in arms over this blatant disregard for Constitutional rights.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. Where do you think terrorists will strike next?  (Glenda ~ Shasta Lake City, CA)
A. The top predicted targets for terrorists are: Americans traveling abroad, American troops wherever they are, hotels home and abroad, New York City, shopping areas, airplanes, churches and synagogues, schools, and London.  Not listed is the Chicago residence of Barack Obama.

Q. I got a bill from my telephone company with a late charge assessed on my last payment.  It was due on the 16th and my payment was processed through the bank on the 15th.  When I called them to complain, they told me that their system takes up to 10 days to process payments.  If it is their system at fault, why should I have to pay a late charge? (Beth ~ Galveston, TX)
A. Because they are emulating the way our government and the I.R.S. operate under Obama.  I agree with you and you need to file a complaint with your state Consumer Affairs and your state Public Utility commissions.

Q. The new Surgeon General says that guns are a healthcare issue and now the V.A. is issuing gun locks to patients.  How do they get away with peddling this nonsense?  (Erma ~ Fargo, ND)
A. They operate under the proven theory that if you repeat something often enough, even an outright lie, the people will soon begin to believe it.
