HOLDER COUGHS UP FAST AND FURIOUS DOCUMENTS

The Justice Department handed over 64,280 pages of documents pertaining to Fast & Furious to Congress late on Monday; these are documents that Holder previously refused to turn over and received a June 2012 Congressional Citation of Contempt for.

COMMENTS:
It is obvious that Holder, (having tendered his resignation), and Obama, (facing certain bashing at the polls on Tuesday), decided they’d be much better off complying with a judicial order handed down in August to turn the documents over than to continue risking impeachment proceedings.  It’s interesting to me that the press and media have not reported on this major breakthrough.  Maybe we’ll now get some closure on the issue, but don’t hold your breath; these guys have more tricks than a circus clown.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What do you think about the big change in Congress?  (Mary ~ Grand Prairie, TX)
A. Well, I’m not sure there’s going to be that big of a change.  Historically of late, whenever the Republicans have controlled both Houses of Congress, they haven’t stood their ground and they haven’t accomplished that much.  Certainly, there is a great divide within the Republican Party, one that could keep both Houses of Congress in turmoil until the 2016 elections... and beyond.  And, they don’t have a super-majority in the Senate, so if Obama decides to veto whatever they legislate, they cannot manage to override the veto.  On the positive side, Reid has lost a tremendous amount of power and we may actually see a budget.  In short, the ball is in the Republican court; what they do with it will have a huge impact on the 2016 elections and the future of the country.

Q. Do you think Obama will still try to use executive action on immigration reform and the borders?  (Ursula ~ Elko, NV)
A. If he does, that signals war between the Congress and the President for the next two years.  Keep your eye on the retail market to see if the price of spit-wads goes up.

Q. I noticed a huge change in the tone of questioning on the part of the press and media at Obama’s White House Press Conference yesterday.  To me, it signals that he’s going to be facing tough questions for the rest of his term.  What do you think?  (Phil ~ Reno, NV)
A. Perhaps they feel more emboldened by the results of the election, but my gut tells me they may be going after Obama more aggressively so they can justify to themselves going after the non-Democratic 2016 Presidential candidates.
