HOUSING MARKET WORSENS

Reuters is reporting that, contrary to some of the more optimistic housing news this week, contracts to purchase previously owned U.S. homes unexpectedly fell in April to a four-month low.  "The drop in pending home sales is clearly disappointing," said Pierre Ellis, an economist at Decision Economics in New York. "It remains to be seen whether this is the beginning of a real downturn."

COMMENTS:
I’ll bet you don’t see this story in the liberal media or press.  The fact is, all economic indicators are pointing south.  Quit spending and save your money for when you will really need it.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. What’s all of the heat over the latest Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree?  (Moon ~ Mt. Shasta City, CA)
A. Obama awarded the medal on Tuesday to Dolores Huerta, an 82-year-old labor activist and co-founder of the United Farm Workers union. Huerta is also an honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Q. Will the recent massacre of civilian females and children get the U.S. into the Syrian situation?  (Yarbrough ~ Truckee, CA)
A. Despite UN Syrian peace envoy Kofi Annan calling last week’s massacre in the Syrian town of Houla – where 108 were killed, including 34 women and 49 children – “a tipping point,” there is little prospect of meaningful UN or Western action in response to this atrocity because of a lack of Western resolve to act outside of a UN framework and continuing Russian and Chinese support for the Assad regime. Thanks to LIGNET.

Q. When will medical insurance premiums start going down as promised under ObamaCare?  (Ogden ~ Lake Tahoe, NV)
A. Never.  That promise is a pie in the sky.  In fact, here’s an example.  “Due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA – commonly known as health care reform), the cost of student health insurance has doubled,” read the letter from a Christian college’s human resources department. In addition, most insurance carriers are hesitant to provide contracts for this insurance due to the unpredictability of the cost of the claims.

MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD HITS FLORIDA

According to state records, Florida election officials have determined that massive voter fraud is taking place and that as many as 180,000 non-residents are registered to vote in the sunshine state.  It only came to the attention of state election officials early last year when the state’s DMV turned over a large data-set containing the population’s residency information.  Upon sampling the data and running some preliminary checks, officials narrowed their estimate of illegally registered voters to 180,000.

COMMENTS:
I keep telling you; Obama is stacking this election in his favor.  He not only has these things in place around the country, but the Justice Department is fighting every attempt in every state to stop it.  WAKE UP AMERICA!

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I heard yesterday that radioactive tuna are in our western waters.  How dangerous is this?  (Archie ~ Norman, OK)
A. One bad particle of radioactivity hitting the right body cell can cause cancer.  Radioactive is radioactive, and in this case higher than normal background radiation in tuna.  Would I knowingly eat it?  No.  Could there be other species of fish in the Pacific Ocean that are affected?  Yes.  Where did it come from?  Japan.  Is that the only danger lurking in the ocean?  No, there’s that pesky residual oil from the Gulf Oil spill.  Where did it go and what is it going to do to fish and plant life down there?

Q. I heard the VFW is in a snit about some newscaster.  What’s the story?  (Preston ~ Fernley, NV)
A. You’d have to guess it involves MSNBC.  Chris Hayes says he’s “uncomfortable” calling America’s veterans “heroes.”  It seems that Hayes feels that by honoring those men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country he may be legitimizing the US effort against terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq.  As long as people keep listening to this disgraceful bull, I guess he’ll stay employed, but I don’t watch MSNBC under any circumstances.

Q. There is a growing call for U.S. intervention in Syria, starting with the creation of a “no-fly” zone.  Obama is resisting.  What’s your opinion and what do you think will happen?  (Giles ~ Phoenix, AZ)
A. As bad as the situation is, we have no legal foundation for doing anything in Syria unless the U.N. steps up to the plate and requests intervention.  We must also remember Syria’s close ties with Iran and Russia.  Finally, we must remember Obama’s Muslim faith and the fact that he has stated in his books that if push comes to shove, he will always side with the Muslims.  He doesn’t want to get involved.  But, he will turn his back on his inner beliefs and do so if he thinks it will get him reelected.

IRAN DOUBLES ENRICHED URANIUM STOCKPILE

Iran almost doubled its stockpile of 20 percent medium- enriched uranium, to 145 kilograms (320 pounds), from 73.7 kilograms in February, the IAEA reported Thursday.  Iran has tripled its production of the material in the three months ending Feb. 24.  Inspectors also discovered evidence that 27 percent uranium had been in the facility they inspected.  While they could not verify weapons-grade uranium during the inspection, they emphasized that they simply do not have access to all of Iran’s facilities and there is suspicion that higher-grade uranium exists.

COMMENTS:
We’ve been looking at this problem since the Bush years, but George and our troops were tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan and the issue was not as imminent.  Obama certainly could and should have put his foot down at least two years ago and we would not be facing this dilemma now.  It’s a sad commentary to suggest that he will act before the elections, but only to ensure his second term.  It seems that every day is bringing more serious bad news about Iran; I wonder how bad it really is.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. I hear there is a new book out about Obama that has him raving mad?  (Gayle ~ Burns, OR)
A. It’s called “Amateur: Barack Obama in the White Houseby Edmond Klein.  It documents corruption in the White House and gives reasons why Obama was not, and still is not, ready to run the country.  It’s number one on the New York Times best seller list, and is causing quite a stir in the White House.

Q. There are a lot of birds being killed by windmills, but you don’t hear anything about it.  Why not?  (Phyllis ~ Garden Grove, CA)
A. The federal government last August imposed hefty fines on seven petroleum companies in North Dakota over the death of 28 birds near their open waste pits. Wind farms, on the other hand, kill more than 400,000 birds a year, including dozens of eagles, and they pay not a penny in fines.  These disparities, and the fact that wind farms have historically given hefty contributions to Obama, tell the whole story.
Q. We used to hear horror stories about how the elitists and the power mongers were going to take over all nations and make one global government.  What happened to that?  (Carlisle ~ Denver, CO)
A. The BOSTON TIMES just reported that “Global governance, the next new thing in trendy international thought, has been typically portrayed as the nearly inevitable evolution upward from the primitive nation-state and its antiquated notions of constitutionalism and popular sovereignty.” Read more: http://times247.com/articles/the-case-against-global-governance#ixzz1wEdlAVTe  This would not be one wholesale conversion to World Government, but would initially creep along in that direction.  Hence, I suppose, the possibility that a treaty could be enacted to outlaw guns in all countries, including the United States.

THE WORLD QUITS LISTENING TO OBAMA

Fox News is reporting that the world not only had stopped listening to Obama, but more and more countries are becoming defiant toward the U.S.  http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/05/27/met-with-defiance-abroad-obama-administration-facing-new-foreign-policy/

COMMENTS:
More and more top statesmen in this country are taking notice.  It seems that our allies are turning a deaf ear toward the United States when the communication link involves Obama.  The rest of the world knows what we have yet to learn: Obama is no President; he’s a pariah.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. As if we didn’t know it would happen, talks with Iran about its nuclear program hit a new low when it announced it was going to build two more nuclear plants.  What’s next?  (Pedro ~ Laguna Niguel, CA)
A. They know they can pull our chain and we won’t do anything about it.  That news, however, must certainly pull Israel’s chain and they are increasingly likely to tell Obama to take his stalls and shove them.  Obama, faced with the growing possibility that he will not be reelected, may be prompted to gamble and strike Iran before Israel can, in the hopes that his actions will boost his ratings at home and ensure his second term.

Q. Would Obama drop Biden and take on Hillary as his Veep? (Lory ~ Helena, MT)
A. Hillary doesn’t like Obama.  But, she is also pragmatic.  If she joined the ticket, Obama would most certainly win and she would be a shoo-in for President in 2016.  The question really is: does she want to be President badly enough to stomach Obama for four more years?

Q. We still have not resolved our growing national debt.  Could we be in for another credit rating downgrade?  (Freeman ~ Oklahoma City, OK)
A. Yes.  Fitch and Moody’s have both put the United States on notice that future downgrades are coming without a change in course. Furthermore, Fitch identified 2013 as a crucial year for the United States to take action on its debt. Currently, it sees better-than-even odds that it will downgrade the United States.

MORE LIES: BUDGET DEFICIT SOARS

According to the U.S. Congress, the federal government’s budget deficit last year was $1.3 trillion. According to a USA Today analysis, the true figure is an astronomical $5 trillion. Congress exempts itself from including the cost of promised retirement benefits when computing the deficit, unlike companies which must include these commitments in financial statements.

COMMENTS:
It’s more smoke and mirrors, playing incredible games with statistics we have become reliant upon.  We are being lied to, misled and fed misinformation and disinformation on an hourly basis.  WE CANNOT BELIEVE anything we hear… ANYTHING… from this Administration.

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. How is China from a military standpoint?  (Captain Bob ~ Pasco, WA)
A. The U.S. Defense Department reports that a review of China paints a detailed picture of a modernizing Chinese military that is totally committed to achieving a comprehensive capacity for "localized" and "regional wars." The report also states that the continued transformation of the Chinese military and broader espionage efforts “represent a growing and persistent threat to [the] U.S.”

Q. I understand that Obama was the keynote speaker at a 1996 event sponsored by the Democratic Socialists of America.  Why is this stuff just coming out now?  (Ollie ~ Pocatello, ID)
A. Because your favorite newspaper or TV news channel is firmly in Obama’s pocket.  They have lost the ability to investigate and report news and facts as they really are and they have become puppets of the far left.

Q. As if I didn’t know, how are the latest talks going with Iran over its nuclear program?  (Gar ~ Florence, AZ)
A. Despite significant concessions made to Iran by the United States, France, and the UK during multilateral talks last week on Iran’s nuclear program, they refused any deal unless all sanctions against it are first dropped, a demand the West rejected. While the participants agreed to meet again in Moscow next month, Iran’s stalling and related word that it continues to expand its uranium enrichment program has left tensions at a high level and raises the chances of an Israeli airstrike against Iran’s nuclear facilities… even before Obama’s rumored late fall strike.

BANNED MARXIST-ISLAMIST TERRORIST GROUP GAINING FAVOR IN CONGRESS

A banned terrorist group is conducting what members of Congress describe as one of the most effective lobbying campaigns ever seen on Capitol Hill, and winning support from politicians even in the face of a government investigation of its legality.  Former heads of the CIA, FBI, homeland security and the US military have joined members of Congress of both major parties in backing a legal action by the People's Mujahideen Organisation of Iran, known as the MEK, to be removed from the US list of proscribed terrorist organizations. The MEK has been a Marxist-Islamist group responsible for the killing of many Americans.

COMMENTS:
If there is any truth at all to this story, and I'm sure there is, it shocks the hell out of me.  What are our Members of Congress thinking?

TODAY’S QUERIES & ANSWERS:
Q. My company just got a call from International Credit Recovery in New York about a publication my secretary supposedly ordered from Progressive Business Publications.  She swears she never ordered it, but they say they have her name, personal email, date of birth and last four numbers of her Social Security.  They want $299.  What should I do?  (Brandon ~ Santa Fe Springs, CA)
A. It’s a scam; look them up through Google.  They get someone’s name off your website, then check credit files to get the date of birth and social security number, and then they call you with this phony story.  Complain to the New York State Attorney General’s Office.

Q. How are we going to resolve the issue in Pakistan with the jailed doctor who helped us find Bin Laden?  (Hannah ~ Diamond Bar, CA)
A. As upsetting as this is to all of us, it’s their country and they can do whatever they want to.  In their eyes, he’s like Khalid Sheik Mohamed is to us; how would we feel if they started exerting pressure on us to release that scum?

Q. Donald Trump says he may start his own PAC to stop Obama. Is he for real?  (Jay ~ Santa Barbara, CA)
A. The Donald reminds me either of a barker in a carney side show or a barker at a puppy ranch.
